To use someone else’s Aniimo character design, open the game’s character appearance editor, choose Import Face Data, select the Face ID or QR option shown by your client, preview the result, and accept only after checking the confirmation screen for any voucher or currency cost. To change a character you already created, use Appearance > Design > Face Adjust when that menu is available; some versions or guides describe reopening the editor with a customization voucher.

First, choose the correct route
A shared design and an existing character use different controls. If another player gave you a Face ID, Face Code or QR image, use Import Face Data in the appearance editor. If you want to reshape the character already saved on your account, open the ordinary appearance controls and look for Design > Face Adjust.

How to enter a shared Aniimo face code
1. Verify the character, account and server
Before opening an editor, make sure you are signed into the account that contains the intended character and have selected the expected server. An account or server mismatch can make the game appear to start a new character, which is different from an import failure. If the screen does not show the character you expect, stop and correct the sign-in or server selection before spending a voucher or confirming a design.
2. Open character customization
Enter the game’s character creation or appearance editor. The exact location of the import icon and the controller prompt is not established consistently across platforms, so use the on-screen label rather than a button combination copied from a different device. Look for an option named Import Face Data or a closely matching import command.
3. Select the Face ID or QR path
Choose the input method presented by your client. Some clients or guides call the identifier a Face ID, while players may call the same kind of identifier a face code. If the editor offers a QR reader, use that in the editor; if it offers text entry, paste or type the Face ID exactly as supplied.

You need the actual readable ID or QR data associated with the design. Do not assume that an image of a character automatically contains the settings required by the editor.
4. Preview before accepting
Use the preview screen to inspect the face and any other settings included with the imported data, such as hair or makeup. Previewing is a separate decision point from applying the design. Check that the result is the intended character and that no unexpected fields have changed.
5. Read the final confirmation
Before selecting the final accept button, read the complete confirmation panel. The current client may show a voucher requirement, an in-game currency amount, or another cost. Exact prices and free-edit allowances are not established by the available guides, so do not rely on a remembered number or a post from another version. Cancel if the result or charge is unexpected.
6. Apply only after the preview and cost are correct
Confirm the import when the face looks right and the displayed terms are acceptable. If you cancel, the design has not necessarily been applied. A player report describes saving and re-importing a draft before using a voucher, but that behavior is anecdotal and should not be treated as a guaranteed undo system.
How to change a character you already created
Use Appearance and Face Adjust
A September 2026 guide lists this route: open the main menu’s Appearance option, choose Design, and then select Face Adjust. The labels may move after an update, but those are the menu names reported in the current guide. The route is for editing an existing character, not for entering another player’s Face ID.
Reach the reported story unlock
The same guide says the Appearance option becomes available after you receive the Institute uniform as a reward during the Institute Initiation Quest. Treat this as a reported unlock condition for the version covered by that guide, not a permanent rule for every future build. If Appearance is missing, complete the relevant early story content and check again after restarting or updating the client.
Check whether a customization voucher is required
A separate appearance guide describes reopening the editor with a customization voucher. The game may present the requirement only when you attempt to apply a change. Do not assume that reaching the menu makes every edit free, or that a fixed number of free changes remains available after an update. The confirmation screen is the place to verify the current requirement.
Preserve the current look before experimenting
If the editor offers an export, save or code-generation function, preserve the current design before trying a new face. Keep the resulting ID or QR in a private place where you can read it later. A saved draft is not the same as a permanently applied character, and the available player report about restoring a draft has not been independently verified.

Use the following decision process when you are unsure which menu to open:
- Do you have a Face ID or QR design from another player? Start with Import Face Data.
- Do you only want to adjust the character already on your account? Open Appearance > Design > Face Adjust if the menu is unlocked.
- Are you trying to import into a different server or platform? Do not assume it will work. Compatibility is not confirmed by an authoritative matrix.
- Does the preview look correct but the confirmation shows a charge? Decide using the current cost prompt, not an old guide or community comment.
What to do when a Face ID or QR code fails
Check the copied characters
Compare the entered ID with the original. Remove accidental spaces at the beginning or end, and check for lookalike characters that can be confused when copied from a screenshot or stylized text. If the creator can export the design again, request a fresh ID or QR rather than repeatedly guessing at a damaged string.
Make sure you are using the right import control
An ordinary text field, a name field or a preset selector will not necessarily decode Face Data. Return to the appearance editor and select the control explicitly labeled Import Face Data or the equivalent option offered by the current client.

Confirm that the source is a real design export
Ask the sender for the Face ID or QR itself. A social-media portrait, a cropped screenshot or a list of slider values may not be a supported import format. If the sender only has an image, they may need to reopen their editor and export the design in the game’s supported form.

If the import option is missing or the game opens an unexpected new-character screen, verify the account and server before troubleshooting the code. The wrong profile can make a valid design appear unavailable.
Stop when the confirmation is unexpected
An imported face can preview correctly and still present an unexpected voucher or currency requirement at the final step. Cancel rather than accepting a charge you did not intend to make. Record the exact message and check whether the client has updated before trying again.
Unlocks, vouchers and costs
Three separate questions are often mixed together:
- Can you open the menu? The reported story requirement is receiving the Institute uniform during the Institute Initiation Quest.
- Can you apply a change? A customization voucher may be required when editing an existing character.
- What does this particular action cost? The game’s final confirmation panel may show a voucher, currency or no charge.
The available guides do not establish a universal price, a permanent free-edit count, or a rule that importing is always free. Costs can change with updates and may differ by action. Read the prompt attached to the specific face import or adjustment you are about to apply.

There is no developer-confirmed compatibility matrix in the checked material covering PC, mobile, console, regions and servers. An independent verification page reports that its review of registered official sources did not find documentation for a transferable code format, a universal file path or a platform matrix. You should therefore treat compatibility as unconfirmed, even when community posts show that players exchange codes.
Community threads can demonstrate that sharing is happening, but an individual successful import does not prove that every code works across every account, server or platform. Before accepting a design, use the options your client actually provides and keep the original design available in case a transfer does not work.

Keep the process inside Aniimo
A QR code for a face design should be read by the game’s own appearance editor. It should not require you to enter an account password, recovery code or payment details on an external website. If a page asks for credentials to unlock a face, close it and return to the game.
Do not install unknown tools
You do not need an executable utility, modified client, unofficial preset file or browser extension for the in-game workflow described here. Unknown downloads can expose your account or device to malware and can make support more difficult.

Protect codes that represent your character
A Face ID or QR may reveal the appearance settings of a character. Share it only with people you trust, and avoid posting account identifiers alongside it. Keep a private copy of your own export before making changes.
A reliable workflow before every confirmation
- Verify the account, character and server.
- Open the appearance editor and choose the correct route: Import Face Data for a shared design, or Appearance > Design > Face Adjust for an existing character.
- Confirm that the Face ID or QR is complete and readable.
- Preview the complete result, including hair and makeup when those settings are included.
- Check the current voucher or currency prompt.
- Cancel if the preview, account, server or cost is wrong.
- Apply the design only after all six checks pass.
Evidence limits and update awareness
The current instructions are assembled from independent guides dated September and October 2026, plus community reports. The customization guide states that its workflow is based on player testing and community records. That makes it practical, but it also means menu placement, unlock timing and costs can change without the guides changing at the same time.
When an update changes the interface, follow the new labels shown in your client. If the game’s confirmation screen conflicts with an older guide, use the in-game screen for that transaction. Reported behavior about saving drafts, voucher reuse or cross-server transfer should be treated as anecdotal unless Aniimo publishes a direct explanation.
Quick troubleshooting checklist
- No Import Face Data option: confirm that you are in the character appearance editor, not a name or preset screen, then check for an update and verify the account and server.
- Invalid Face ID: remove copied spaces, check lookalike characters, and request a fresh export from the creator.
- QR will not scan: use the game’s own QR path, display the code clearly, and obtain a new QR if the image is cropped or unreadable.
- Character looks different after preview: inspect every included setting before confirming; the imported data may include more than facial sliders.
- Unexpected voucher or currency charge: cancel and read the current terms; do not rely on a price from another version.
- Appearance menu is locked: check whether the Institute Initiation Quest and Institute uniform requirement has been met in your version.
- Code works for someone else but not you: treat platform, region and server compatibility as unconfirmed and test only through the in-game editor.

Use Import Face Data when you have a shared Face ID or QR, preview it, and approve it only after checking the current cost prompt.
