You can build up food, wood, fuel, and other resources in Last Shelter: Survival without buying packs by combining three repeatable activities: complete the Daily Tasks shown in your game, keep available troops gathering at world-map resource points, and participate in an active alliance. Check your own task panel, event previews, and alliance screens before relying on particular rewards or benefits: schedules and contents can change, and free-to-play progress is not guaranteed to match the pace of paid play.
What “free resources” means in Last Shelter: Survival
Last Shelter: Survival is a free mobile strategy game with in-app purchases, according to its app-store listings. Free access lets you play without buying a pack, but it does not make every offer or progression system free. The practical no-spend approach is to collect what the game makes available through ordinary play and to use your time and troops deliberately, rather than treating paid supplies as a necessary part of the routine.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
There is no reliable universal figure for how much a player can earn per day. The amount available to you depends on what your client currently offers, what you can gather, your alliance participation, and any event rules in effect. The available sources do not establish current resource rates, a guaranteed yield, or a level-by-level schedule. Use the live game as the authority for what is available to your account.
A repeatable no-spend routine
Use this order when you log in. It puts the most visible recurring rewards first, then turns troop availability into resource collection. Adjust it when an urgent in-game objective or a live event gives you a reason to do something else.

- Open Daily Tasks. Read the actions and reward thresholds displayed in your client. Prioritize tasks that overlap with progress you already intend to make, such as gathering, research, or defeating available enemies.
- Claim each earned chest. Check the task screen as you reach its displayed point thresholds instead of assuming rewards are granted automatically or waiting until the end of the day.
- Send otherwise-idle troops to gather. Choose a world-map resource point that supplies the material you need next. Account for travel time and for the possibility that you will need those troops for another activity.
- Check your alliance. Collect any available Alliance Gifts, then inspect the alliance store and benefits for gathering help that is actually unlocked and usable in your client.
- Review live event rules before changing plans. Read the event’s own reward preview and requirements before saving or spending resources to pursue its rewards.
- Before logging out, check that your gathering assignment is still useful. If your next priority has changed, direct available troops toward that resource rather than leaving them assigned to a material you do not currently need.
This is a routine, not a promise of a particular daily haul. Your task list, available map points, alliance benefits, and event conditions may differ from another player’s.
Use Daily Tasks as the first reward check
A community-maintained Last Shelter: Survival wiki lists gathering resources, using resource items, conducting research, and defeating zombies as examples of Daily Tasks. It says task points unlock reward chests. These examples are useful for planning, but they are not a guarantee that every action will appear in every player’s current list. Follow the tasks and thresholds displayed in your own game.
Build tasks into actions you already need
Look for overlap between a task and your next useful action. If the panel includes gathering, a resource trip can advance both your stockpile and the task. If it includes research, choose research that supports your current plan rather than spending only to chase points. If defeating enemies appears, consider whether it fits your available troops and immediate priorities. The panel determines which actions count; do not assume that a similar action will qualify if it is not listed.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteUsing resource items is another task example in the community wiki. Treat an item as an inventory resource, not as a free windfall: using one may help with a task, but it also consumes something you already hold. Check the task requirement and the item description before using it, especially if you may need that item for a more important upgrade or objective.

Understand the wiki’s reported point thresholds
The community-maintained wiki reports Daily Task reward-chest thresholds of 30, 70, 120, 180, 260, 340, 420, and 500 points. Those are wiki-reported figures, not independently confirmed current official values. Compare them with the thresholds in your task screen; if they differ, use the in-game values.
| Wiki-reported chest threshold | How to use the figure |
|---|---|
| 30 points | Check whether your current task panel shows a chest at this threshold. |
| 70 points | Use the live panel to confirm the threshold and reward before planning around it. |
| 120 points | Do not assume the wiki’s threshold is current for your account. |
| 180 points | Claim a chest when your client shows that it is earned. |
| 260 points | Refer to the displayed task total and chest status, not an old guide. |
| 340 points | Check whether the current list gives you enough relevant tasks to reach it. |
| 420 points | Use this only as a historical wiki-reported reference unless your client confirms it. |
| 500 points | The wiki lists this as a threshold; verify both the threshold and reward in game. |
The same wiki says the Daily Tasks cycle begins at 00:00 server time. This is a secondary-source description, not a universal promise about every current client or server. Use the timer or reset information shown in your game to decide when your own task list refreshes.
Keep troops gathering when they are not needed elsewhere
World-map resource points are the core repeatable collection method: send troops to gather when they are available and direct them toward the resource that helps with your next priority. The sources do not verify current gathering rates, node availability, travel times, or a universal best troop assignment, so there is no sound basis for quoting a yield or claiming that one resource point is always the most efficient.

Choose the resource by your next bottleneck
Before dispatching troops, identify what you expect to need next. If an upcoming upgrade or training action is blocked by one resource, make that material the gathering priority. If no single material is clearly limiting progress, choose based on the next action you intend to take rather than gathering a resource simply because it is familiar. Reassess when your plans change; the best choice is situational, not a permanent ranking of food, wood, fuel, or other materials.

Account for troop time and travel
Gathering uses troop availability and takes time. A troop group assigned to a resource point may not be available for another task until it returns, and travel time affects when the resources become useful to you. Keep an eye on the map and your own march status. Avoid sending every available troop group out if you expect to need a group soon for a more urgent task. No current source establishes a universal risk level for a particular point, so assess what the game shows before committing troops.
When a task list includes gathering, coordinating the map trip with the task can make one activity serve two purposes. But do not assume a trip will count merely because it seems related: confirm the task wording and look for progress in the panel.
Use alliance participation for gifts and gathering support
A community-maintained alliance overview says players can collect Alliance Gifts. A separate community-maintained alliance-store page describes a Gather Bonus purchased with alliance currency. These pages establish useful mechanic leads, not guaranteed current rewards or benefits for every account. Check your alliance and store screens to see what is presently available, what it costs, and whether your alliance has unlocked the relevant option.
Check for gifts rather than assuming they arrive automatically
Open the alliance interface and look for collectable gifts. The sources do not establish a universal gift amount, refresh schedule, or eligibility rule, so use the client to confirm whether a gift is ready and what it contains. If a gift is not shown, do not count it as part of a planned resource budget.

Inspect the Gather Bonus before spending alliance currency
The wiki describes a Gather Bonus that increases base gathering speed by 50% for 24 hours and is purchased with alliance currency. This is a secondary-source description; verify that the item remains available, that its effect and duration match the current store, and that you can afford it before using alliance currency. It is not a free bonus in the sense of having no cost: it requires alliance currency, and that currency may have other uses.
If the current client confirms the bonus and you decide it is worthwhile, consider activating it when you can make use of the stated duration rather than at a time when your troops will be unavailable or your gathering plans are uncertain. The wiki’s figure should not be treated as proof of a present-day effect or as a guarantee of a particular quantity gathered.
Choose an alliance for usable activity, not a label
The no-spend value of an alliance depends on what you can actually access: gifts, relevant benefits, and any store options your client shows. Check whether you can participate and whether the alliance’s unlocked benefits match your needs. The available sources do not set a universal membership requirement or promise that every alliance provides the same resources, so make the decision from the live alliance interface rather than an assumed standard.

Events can affect what you choose to save or spend, but the available event information does not support a current universal calendar, reward yield, or eligibility schedule by level, server, or region. An old player-written Steam guide is historical context only; it should not be used to establish what is running now or what a present-day event will award.
Best Value
When an event is visible in your game, read its rules and reward preview before changing your resource plan. Check what action earns progress, whether the reward is something you actually need, and whether the event requires you to use resources that are more valuable for your immediate goals. Do not spend or hold materials based on a remembered event date or a guide that may describe an older version of the game.
- If the event matches routine play: continue with the task, research, gathering, or other action only after confirming that the event counts it.
- If the event asks you to use resources: compare its displayed reward with the cost to your current upgrade or training plan before committing.
- If no event is shown: do not assume a particular event is due or delay ordinary progress waiting for one.
- If rules or rewards are unclear: treat the in-game preview as the available authority and avoid planning around unverified third-party details.
Plan around shortages without spending
When a required action is blocked, pause long enough to identify the exact shortfall. A vague sense of being “out of resources” can lead to gathering the wrong material or consuming an item that would be more useful later.
- Check the requirement. Look at the upgrade, research, or training action you want to complete and identify which resource is missing.
- Compare the shortfall with your stock. Check whether an item you already own could cover some of it, but read its description and consider whether a task or later objective makes it more valuable to keep.
- Set the next gathering target. Send available troops toward the missing material if a suitable resource point is shown and the troop time fits your plans.
- Use overlapping tasks where possible. If your Daily Tasks include gathering or another relevant action, complete it in a way that also advances the resource need.
- Recheck alliance options. Look for a collectable gift or a currently available gathering benefit rather than assuming one exists.
- Revisit the plan after collection. Once the bottleneck changes, switch your gathering priority instead of continuing by habit.
This process cannot guarantee that a resource arrives quickly enough for a particular deadline. The sources do not provide current collection rates or a schedule from which to calculate how long a shortage will take to resolve.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Free methods versus paid supplies
The app-store listings describe the game as free to play while also identifying in-app purchases. Apple’s listing includes paid subscription supplies, with alternatives such as diamonds, speed-ups, or resources, and also describes opportunities to earn free rewards through active participation. Those paid subscriptions and offers are purchases, not no-spend resource methods. Store descriptions and offers can change, so check the current listing and in-game purchase screen rather than treating a particular package as permanent.
For a player committed to spending nothing, the useful distinction is simple: collect through gameplay activities and available alliance features, and do not count paid currency, paid resource bundles, or subscription supplies as part of a free routine. There is no physical product required for the resource-earning methods described here.
Common mistakes and how to correct them
- Planning around an old task list: Open the current Daily Tasks panel and follow its actual actions and thresholds.
- Assuming a reset time: The wiki reports 00:00 server time, but use the reset timer displayed in your own client.
- Gathering without a resource goal: Identify the next upgrade or training bottleneck first, then choose a matching resource point.
- Committing all troops when you need them soon: Consider troop availability and travel time before sending groups away.
- Counting an alliance reward before it appears: Check the alliance screen for a collectable gift or unlocked benefit and use only what the client confirms.
- Spending alliance currency on an unverified effect: Read the current store description and compare the cost with other uses before purchasing a bonus.
- Following an outdated event schedule: Use the event rules and preview shown in game, not a historical guide, to decide whether to save or spend.
- Expecting paid-play speed for free: Set progress expectations around your available time and in-game opportunities; no source establishes equal progression rates for no-spend and paying players.
What to check each time the game changes
Because several useful mechanics are documented by community-maintained pages and event details can change, make a quick verification part of the routine. This is more reliable than treating any secondary guide as a permanent specification.
