To download a Paramount+ show or movie, use the Paramount+ app on a supported iPhone or iPad running iOS 16 or later, or an Android phone or tablet running Android 7 or later. Sign in, open a title with a download icon, tap it, and keep the app open until the download finishes. Find saved videos in the app’s Downloads section. The feature saves titles for temporary offline viewing inside the app; it does not create an exportable video file.
What you need before downloading
- A supported device: Paramount+ lists iPhone and iPad devices running iOS 16 or later, and Android phones and tablets running Android 7 or later. The official download instructions document mobile-app downloads, not downloads through a desktop browser or TV app. See Paramount+’s download requirements.
- An eligible plan and title: Downloads are available only for selected titles, and plan eligibility depends on the country. Paramount+’s plan information lists download access for Standard and Premium in several markets. Its Basic (with Ads) plan in Canada and Australia does not support downloads. Check the plan page for your country because names and features can change. Check Paramount+ plan details.
- Available storage: Make sure the device has room for the video. Connect to Wi-Fi if you want to avoid using mobile data.
Paramount+’s US homepage currently describes downloads as a Premium feature and notes that restrictions apply; this should not be treated as a worldwide plan rule. Check the Paramount+ site for your market.

How to download a title in the Paramount+ app
- Update the app and device if needed. Install the latest Paramount+ app version and check that the phone or tablet meets the operating-system minimum. Open the app and sign in.
- Find the show, episode, or movie. Open the title’s page, or locate the episode you want. Look for the download icon beside the title. If there is no icon, that item may not be available for download.
- Tap the download icon. Watch the progress indicator. Keep Paramount+ open until the download completes; leaving the app can pause the download, although you can navigate to other places within the app.
- Open the saved video. In the app, open the menu and select Downloads. Depending on the app version, the path may appear as Menu > Downloads or More > Downloads. Tap the downloaded title to play it offline.
How long downloads last and how many you can keep
According to Paramount+’s help page, updated in 2025, these service limits apply:

| 30 days before playback | An unstarted download is removed 30 days after it is downloaded. |
| 48 hours after playback starts | Once you start watching, the download is removed 48 hours later. |
| 25 videos | You can have up to 25 videos in the download library at one time. |
| Five copies of the same video | You can download the same video on up to five devices. Trying to make a sixth copy may produce a download-limit error. |
Paramount+ says some titles can expire sooner if the service loses the rights to offer them. A download may also be unavailable when you travel to a country where Paramount+ does not have the rights to that title. If a download expires, you may download it again if the title is still available. Review Paramount+’s download rules.

Fix common download problems
There is no download icon
- Confirm your plan includes downloads in your country and that the title is eligible.
- Update the Paramount+ app and your device’s operating system.
- Try another title to check whether downloads are available for that content.
The download option is missing on iPhone, iPad, or Android
Check the device’s operating-system version: Paramount+ lists iOS 16 or later for iPhone and iPad, and Android 7 or later for Android phones and tablets. Also update the Paramount+ app; meeting the OS requirement alone does not make every title downloadable.
The app reports a download-limit error
Delete an existing download if you already have 25 videos saved. If the error concerns a particular video, check whether you have already downloaded it on five devices.

The device is out of storage
Free space on the phone or tablet. Paramount+ suggests removing unrelated items, such as unused apps or photos.
The download is stuck or paused
Keep the Paramount+ app open until the download finishes. You can download multiple videos at once, but using mobile data may count against your network plan or incur charges.

Do you need a new device?
Usually not. An existing supported phone or tablet can handle downloads if it meets the operating-system requirement and has enough free storage. If you are already choosing a device, check its OS support and available storage; a new tablet is not required just to use Paramount+ downloads.
