The official Soulstonia – Demo Steam listing offers a free demo for Windows and macOS. Install the Steam client, sign in, open that listing, select Install Demo, and launch Soulstonia – Demo from your Library when the download finishes. The demo includes all five regions, Act I, more than 20 skills, and no playtime or progression cap.
What you need before installing
Soulstonia’s demo is distributed as a separate Steam app rather than as a button inside another edition of the game. You need a Steam account and the Steam desktop client. The official listing currently identifies Windows and macOS as supported platforms.

How to download the Soulstonia demo

Install and open Steam
Download and install the official Steam client for your computer, then open it and sign in. The demo is installed through the client, not by downloading a standalone installer from a third-party site.

Open the official demo listing
In a web browser, open the Soulstonia – Demo page on Steam. You can also search for “Soulstonia – Demo” in Steam, but check that the page is the demo listing before installing.

Select Install Demo
Choose Install Demo on the listing. Steam may ask you to select a Steam Library drive or folder. Pick a drive with enough free space and confirm the installation.

Wait for the download and installation
Steam downloads the demo files and installs them in the selected library. Keep the client open until the download has completed and the installation status has finished.

Launch it from your Library
Open Library in Steam, select Soulstonia – Demo, and choose Play. The demo should then open in its own window.
System requirements
The Steam listings publish separate minimum and recommended specifications for Windows and macOS. The minimum figures describe the baseline configuration listed for the demo; the recommended figures are the developer’s higher target for each platform.

These are the requirements published on the official Steam listings by Gabriel’s Games and Steam in 2026. A computer that displays a requirements warning in Steam should be compared with the matching table column before you spend time troubleshooting the client.
Windows requirements in practical terms
The minimum Windows entry requires a 64-bit system running Windows 10, an Intel i3 Dual-Core processor, 8 GB of memory, integrated graphics, DirectX 11, and 500 MB of free storage. The recommended entry raises the operating system to Windows 11, the processor to an Intel i5 Quad-Core, and memory to 16 GB, and lists an NVIDIA 1060 or equivalent graphics processor. DirectX 11 remains the listed graphics API.

The storage figure is small compared with many modern games, but it is still the space Steam must be able to reserve on the selected library drive. Check the drive chosen in the installation dialog rather than only the free space on your system drive.
macOS requirements in practical terms
The minimum Mac configuration is macOS 14.0 Sonoma, an Apple M1 or 64-bit Intel Core i5, 8 GB of RAM, Apple M1 integrated graphics or another Metal-compatible GPU, 1 GB of storage, and Core Audio-compatible sound. The recommended configuration keeps Sonoma but specifies an Apple M2 or Intel Core i7 Quad-Core, 16 GB of RAM, and Apple M2 integrated graphics or an AMD Radeon Pro 560X equivalent.
If your Mac runs an older version of macOS, the published minimum is not met even if the processor and memory are otherwise sufficient. The listing does not identify older macOS versions as supported.

What is included in the demo
This is a substantial preview rather than a short, timed sample. The developer’s Steam description says that all five regions are open for exploration and that Act I is playable. Act I includes more than 15 quests in the Grasslands.

You can travel through each of the five regions while playing the available Act I content. The Grasslands provide more than 15 quests, giving the demo a defined story and objective path instead of limiting you to an isolated tutorial area.
Skills and character progression
More than 20 core and hybrid skills can be trained to level 99. The demo has no progression cap, so the skills are not stopped at a lower demo-only level. It also has no playtime cap; the listing does not impose a countdown or a fixed number of hours.
Systems you can use
The available systems include gathering, crafting, combat, Magic, and Summoning. You can discover Soulstones and unlock a second Summoner after Act I. These systems are available within the demo’s open regions and Act I scope.
Different worlds for new saves
New saves generate different world layouts. The changes can affect villages, roads, resources, enemies, non-player characters, landmarks, and points of interest. A new save therefore may not place every world element in exactly the same location as an earlier save.

How demo saves and progress carry forward
The developer says that demo saves can carry into the planned Early Access launch on December 10, 2026. That means progress made in the demo is intended to remain usable when the Early Access version arrives, subject to the developer’s stated launch plan.
Progress from the public Playtest
If you played the public Playtest, its save progress transfers into the demo. The demo is a separate Steam app, so the transfer applies to save progress rather than to every piece of Steam account history.
What does not transfer
Steam hours played, achievements, and leaderboard data start fresh for the demo. Even when a save transfers, the demo’s own hours, achievements, and leaderboard records are separate from the public Playtest’s records because the demo has its own app entry.

For the safest continuity, use the same Steam account and keep the demo installed or otherwise allow Steam to retain its save data. The published information establishes the intended transfer, but it does not promise that demo achievements, hours, or leaderboard entries will be merged with another app.

How to start playing after installation
- Open Steam and select Library.
- Choose Soulstonia – Demo in the game list.
- Select Play.
- Begin a new save, or load an existing demo save if you have already played.
- Explore the regions and begin Act I in the Grasslands, where the demo provides more than 15 quests.
The game’s open-ended limits mean you can continue training skills, gathering, crafting, fighting, using Magic and Summoning, and exploring after completing individual objectives. There is no published playtime timer that forces the session to end.
Troubleshooting installation and launch problems
The Install Demo button is missing
Confirm that you opened the official Soulstonia – Demo Steam listing, rather than a similarly named page or a page for a different edition. Make sure the Steam client is installed and that you are signed in. The official listing is the page that provides the Install Demo control.
Steam asks for a library drive
Select a Steam Library drive with at least the listed space available: 500 MB on Windows or 1 GB on macOS. If the selected drive is nearly full, choose another library location before confirming the installation.
Steam says the computer does not meet requirements
Compare your operating system, processor, memory, graphics hardware, graphics API, and available storage with the minimum row for your platform. On Windows, check for 64-bit Windows 10 or later and DirectX 11. On Mac, check for macOS 14.0 Sonoma and a supported Apple Silicon or 64-bit Intel configuration. If one of the published minimums is not met, the warning reflects a platform mismatch rather than a download problem.
The game is installed but does not appear in Library
Check that the download reached completion and that you are viewing the same Steam account used to install it. Search the Library for “Soulstonia – Demo,” then open its page and look for Play. If the client still shows an incomplete installation, return to the Steam download status and let it finish before launching.
You played the public Playtest but cannot see its progress
Open the demo under the Steam account that held the Playtest save. The developer says Playtest save progress transfers into the demo, while Steam hours, achievements, and leaderboard data begin anew in the separate demo app. Those account-history items should not be used as a test for whether save progress transferred.

The practical reason to play now is continuity: the developer intends demo saves to remain useful for Early Access. The practical reason not to treat the demo as a complete account history is that its Steam statistics are isolated from the public Playtest and other app entries.
