Store Fire Emblem collectibles according to what they are made of: protect amiibo figures from heat, prolonged direct sunlight, dampness, resin contact, and pressure; keep amiibo cards from bending or scratching; and shield paper items from light, humidity, dust, and handling. Nintendo’s instructions cover amiibo, while the paper-care guidance below comes from the Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI) and is general conservation advice—not Fire Emblem-specific product testing.
Start by identifying the collectible’s material
“Fire Emblem collectible” can mean an electronic amiibo card, a figure, or a paper item such as a print, manual, or book. Those materials have different risks, so no single case, sleeve, or storage method is established as safe for all of them.

- Amiibo figure: follow Nintendo’s figure-care instructions and avoid heat, prolonged direct sun, high humidity, moisture, extended contact with resin products, and pressure that could deform it. Nintendo’s amiibo instruction booklet warns that heat or long periods of direct sunlight may cause deformation or malfunction.
- Amiibo card: Nintendo says the card contains electronic parts and cautions against bending or scratching it. Nintendo’s amiibo-card safety information is the relevant manufacturer guidance.
- Paper item: use protective housing and limit exposure to light and unsuitable environmental conditions, following CCI’s general paper-conservation guidance.
Display and store amiibo figures carefully
Keep a figure away from heaters, stoves, prolonged direct sunlight, and places where it may get wet or remain in high humidity. Avoid leaving it pressed against a resin product for an extended period, or positioned under pressure that could deform it. Nintendo recommends carefully wiping dirt with a soft, dry cloth; its booklet does not recommend other cleaning products.

Nintendo’s instructions do not identify the materials in every third-party case, riser, or other collectible. They therefore do not establish that one case material is suitable for all figures. Choose a display position that avoids the listed risks, and do not assume that a material safe for one collectible will be safe for another.

Keep amiibo cards supported and unbent
Store cards so they remain supported and are not forced into a bent position. Handle them by the edges when practical, and avoid scratching the surface. If you use a sleeve, select one that fits without forcing the card into it.
Polypropylene trading-card sleeves are one accessory category to consider: CCI identifies polypropylene as a stable plastic used for paper-object enclosures. That is general conservation guidance, not Nintendo certification for amiibo cards or confirmation that every sleeve product is appropriate for their electronic components.

Protect prints, manuals, books, and other paper items
CCI recommends protective enclosures or folders made from buffered paper or board, or stable plastics such as PET or polypropylene. Archival boxes can add protection. CCI’s recommendations concern paper objects; they do not certify these materials for amiibo electronics or figure plastics.

When displaying paper art
For framed works on paper, CCI recommends UV-filtering glazing. It gives 50 lux as a recommended illumination level for sensitive materials such as watercolours, coloured prints, and works on poor-quality paper. Do not treat 50 lux as a universal limit for every collectible material.
Choose a display or storage method by the risks

Avoid damage when handling or changing displays
- For figures, do not place objects on them or leave them in a position that presses or strains them.
- For cards, support the card and avoid bending or scratching it; do not force it into a tight sleeve.
- For paper art, reduce illumination and display duration. When framed, use UV-filtering glazing and keep the artwork from directly contacting the glazing.
- For every item, consider its material, exposure to dust and light, humidity and heat, risk of bending or pressure, and how often it will be handled.
Fire Emblem example: the Alm amiibo
Nintendo lists Alm as a Fire Emblem amiibo released on May 19, 2017, available exclusively in the Fire Emblem series two-pack. Compatibility and functionality vary by game, according to Nintendo’s Alm amiibo product page. The release detail identifies the item; it does not change the general amiibo care instructions.
