LEGO describes set 72306 as a 1,911-piece adult display model measuring 26 cm wide, 19 cm deep and over 6 cm high. Reserve at least that footprint for the console itself; allow extra room for handling and for any accessories displayed beside it. LEGO’s product listing gives the set’s dimensions and features.

Decide whether you want the scenes and controller inside the case, beside the console, or stored elsewhere before settling on shelf or case dimensions. Consider a clear acrylic case listed for set 72306
iDisplayit, BOXXCO and KGBOX each list a case for LEGO 72306. These are vendor listings, not independent fit tests. Check the case’s internal width, depth and height—not just its external dimensions—and confirm that the console, controller and dioramas fit in your intended arrangement. BOXXCO cautions that its preorder dimensions are based on LEGO’s published set dimensions and may change slightly after release. Treat measurements and fit claims accordingly, and verify the final specifications with the seller before ordering. KGBOX lists a slim backlit edition with external dimensions of 60 × 24 × 16 cm; those external measurements alone do not establish internal clearance for the complete display. KGBOX’s product page gives that edition’s stated dimensions.
Do not assume the LEGO Play and Display Case will fit
LEGO’s Play and Display Case 5006157 is listed as 39 cm wide, 14 cm deep and 19 cm high. Its published depth is less than the PlayStation model’s 19 cm depth, so the stated dimensions do not support recommending it for this build. The case’s transparent cover and six baseplates do not resolve that depth mismatch. LEGO’s listing for case 5006157 provides its dimensions and features.

How to compare cases without relying on unverified claims
- Clearance: Confirm internal width, depth and height against the console and every item you intend to display inside.
- Layout: Check whether the controller and removable scenes fit in the positions you prefer, rather than assuming a console-only fit is enough.
- Access: Consider how the case opens and whether you can reach the model without repeatedly dismantling the display.
- Material and UV claims: Look for documentation specific to the case. The available vendor descriptions do not provide independent UV-transmission measurements, comparative material tests or long-term protection results.
- Total cost: Compare delivered prices and regional availability before purchase; listings and availability can change.
A clear case is a practical way to put a physical barrier between the model and dust while keeping its recognizable shape visible. However, the cited case listings do not establish a quantified level of UV blocking or prove that any one option prevents fading over time. Do not treat a seller’s general protection language as a measured preservation guarantee.

What should you check before ordering?
- Measure your chosen display: Allow at least 26 × 19 cm for the console, plus any extra space needed for the controller, removable scenes and access.
- Choose the intended arrangement: Decide which accessories belong inside the case and which, if any, will sit outside it.
- Verify internal measurements: Ask the seller or consult the product specifications for usable interior clearance in all three dimensions.
- Check current details: Confirm final dimensions, materials, any documented UV claims, regional availability and delivered cost with the seller before buying.
If searching a marketplace, “clear acrylic LEGO display case” is a useful phrase, but a matching title or product photo does not confirm fit. Apply the same internal-dimension and layout checks to any listing.

What is the LEGO PlayStation set, and when did it launch?
LEGO announced set 72306 on September 3, 2026, with 1,911 pieces and launch recommended prices of $179.99 in the United States, £139.99 in the United Kingdom and €159.99 in the euro area. These were LEGO’s announced prices, not a current price comparison. LEGO said general purchase would begin October 4, 2026, after LEGO Insiders early access from October 1. The official US listing showed “Coming soon on October 4, 2026” when retrieved; availability may change. LEGO’s announcement and the US product listing provide those details.
