The safest setup combines a properly anchored stand, indirect low-heat lighting, careful assembly and a cleaning routine that uses no chemicals.
Start with the statue’s real footprint and mass
Furniture decisions should begin with the specific edition you own, not with a generic “statue shelf” size. Prime 1 Studio’s current 1:3 Kratos Ultimate Bonus listing gives an approximate height of 95 cm, width of 60 cm, depth of 61 cm and weight of 57.6 kg. Those figures describe a large, deep object before you add clearance for projecting weapons, cables, doors or your hands while cleaning.

Allow for production variation
The listing cautions that the piece is handmade and in development. Prototype and final-production specifications may differ by as much as 10% in size and 10 kg in weight. Use your delivered statue’s measurements when they are available, and choose furniture that still has a comfortable margin above the final measured load. Do not design a cabinet that fits only the nominal numbers.

Load capacity is the first filter
Look for a shelf, cabinet plinth or dedicated stand with a published load rating comfortably above the statue’s actual weight. A rating equal to 57.6 kg leaves no useful reserve for dynamic loads when you install a weapon, open a door or accidentally bump the furniture. Capacity should apply to the entire shelf span, not merely to a small point at its center. Thin shelving can sag even when its nominal rating appears adequate.

Prefer a rigid top supported close to both sides and, for a wide span, near the center. Check that the supports themselves sit on a level floor. If a cabinet rocks when empty, it is not a safe foundation for a heavy polystone collectible. Wall-anchor tall furniture to a structural wall where appropriate, following the furniture maker’s instructions. Anchoring prevents a top-heavy cabinet from tipping; it does not increase the shelf’s stated load rating.
Depth must include every projection
Measure from the rear of the base to the furthest point of a spear, blade, shield or other installed accessory. Leave room behind the statue for LED cables and enough space in front to open a case door without striking a weapon. The base must sit fully on the supporting surface rather than overhanging a front edge. A shelf that technically matches the base dimensions can still be unsafe if a projecting part shifts the center of gravity beyond the support.

Decide between an open shelf and an enclosure
An open shelf gives the easiest access and the best airflow, but airborne dust reaches every recess. An acrylic or glass enclosure reduces dust and can help block ultraviolet light, provided its panels have a meaningful UV specification. It is not automatically safer: the cabinet must be large enough, strong enough and properly ventilated.

Measure the case, not just its outside
Record usable interior height, width and depth with shelves, hinges and door seals in place. Check the diagonal path through the door: a case can have sufficient internal volume yet be impossible to load because the opening is narrower than the statue or its base. Confirm that the shelf can carry the full weight and that the case itself sits on a properly rated platform.

Use this measurement and installation workflow
- Measure the intended edition. Assemble the exact head, hands, shield, weapon or spear you plan to display. Record height, width, depth, the furthest protrusions and every LED cable exit point. Repeat the measurement after any pose or accessory change.
- Select the support. Choose a rigid, level platform with a published capacity comfortably above the measured weight. Check the complete load path from the top surface to the floor or wall. Anchor tall furniture where appropriate and keep it away from walkways, radiators, vents and windows.
- Plan lighting and power. Use low-heat ambient or cabinet lighting aimed indirectly at the piece. Route the LED cable without tight bends or pinch points. The official listing marked the LED power requirement as “TBA,” so do not assume a particular adapter, voltage or battery arrangement; follow the edition’s supplied instructions.
- Prepare an assembly surface. Cover a broad, level area with a padded blanket or closed-cell foam sheet. Keep small parts in labeled trays so they cannot roll onto a hard floor.
- Build from stable to delicate. Fit the base first, then the body and large accessories, followed by small swappable parts. Support long weapons close to their connection points instead of using the tip as a handle. Photograph connector orientation before disassembly.
- Check clearances before final placement. Open and close case doors, walk past the display and inspect the rear cable route. Confirm that no blade, spear or shield contacts glazing, a wall or a neighboring object.
Control sunlight, heat and room conditions
Block direct UV exposure
Keep the statue away from windows that receive direct sun. Sideshow’s polystone-care guide warns: “One more tip: If you are displaying your collection, which we do encourage, make sure that the pieces are not placed in an area that receives direct sunlight. Long term exposure to the sun’s UV rays will cause the paint colors to fade in time.” Curtains, blinds or UV-filtering glazing can reduce exposure, but they should supplement—not replace—an out-of-sun location.
Do not use a bright spotlight aimed at painted surfaces for hours. Choose indirect illumination and switch display lighting off when the room is not being viewed. Compare fixtures by heat, ultraviolet output, glare and distance from the paint. A light that feels cool to your hand can still create a hot, confined pocket inside a case, so leave airflow around the fixture and statue.
Avoid rapid temperature changes
Do not place the display directly over a radiator, beside a heating outlet, in front of an air-conditioning vent or where a window causes repeated hot-and-cold cycles. Rapid changes can stress different materials at different rates and can loosen or distort small connections. A stable indoor location away from drafts is preferable to a theoretically ideal shelf exposed to continuous airflow.
Assemble polystone and detachable parts safely
Polystone is hard but can chip, crack or suffer paint damage when a heavy part is dropped or twisted. Assemble at a low height over padding so a slip does not turn into a floor impact. Wash and dry your hands before handling painted surfaces; skin oils can transfer to unprotected areas.

- Hold long projecting parts near their socket or reinforced connection, never by a thin tip.
- Never force a joint that stops partway. Check alignment, magnets, keyed connectors and the edition’s instructions.
- Keep LED wiring slack enough to move during installation, but do not pull, twist or use the wire to lift a component.
- Photograph the orientation of connectors and accessories before taking the statue apart.
- Keep the original foam and cartons. The official listing identifies multiple detachable components and possible two-box shipping, making the supplied packaging valuable for future moves.
Dust without damaging the finish

Routine cleaning
Use a clean camera lens cleaning brush as your primary tool. Work from high surfaces downward, lifting dust with light strokes rather than rubbing it into the paint. A soft brush reaches armor seams, hair texture and the base without applying the pressure of a cloth. Clean the brush itself so it does not redeposit grit.
After brushing, compressed air can clear loose particles from recesses. Use short bursts from a safe distance and keep the can upright. Do not spin a loose weapon or an LED cable with the air stream, and never direct high pressure at a fragile joint, decal or exposed wire.
When dust is bonded
For residue that will not lift, use a barely damp, lint-free cloth with water only. Test an inconspicuous area first, use minimal pressure and dry the surface immediately with a second clean cloth. Do not saturate seams, sockets, LED openings or the base.

Never use harsh chemical cleaners, solvents, furniture polish, alcohol wipes or abrasive products. They can soften coatings, alter sheen or leave residues that attract more dust. If a mark does not respond to water, stop rather than escalating to a stronger cleaner; consult the edition’s instructions or manufacturer support.

The LED-lit Mimir eyes are part of the display system, not a handle or alignment point. Route the cable so it is not trapped beneath the base, crushed against a case panel or pulled tight when the statue is rotated. Keep connectors dry and accessible for inspection. Because the listing left power requirements as TBA, use only the power solution specified for your edition; do not substitute an adapter based on appearance alone.
Turn the lights off before dusting or moving the statue. If a cable becomes warm, frayed, exposed or intermittently powered, disconnect the system and stop using it until the supplied instructions or manufacturer support provides a remedy. Do not open an electronic module or splice a lead as a do-it-yourself repair unless the manufacturer explicitly authorizes it.

A brief inspection catches small problems before they become a fall or paint loss. Look over the seams, ankles, weapon grips, accessory sockets, LED cables and the base. Check that the furniture remains level and that case doors or shelves have not shifted.

Edition-specific instruction PDFs take priority over general polystone-care guidance. No independent durability or lifespan statistic is established for this statue, so a calendar-based promise about how many years the paint or joints will last would be misleading.
Plan for moving and long-term storage
Photograph the complete statue and each connector before disassembly. Remove fragile, projecting and electronic parts first, reversing the assembly order where practical. Wrap components separately in the original foam or an equally non-abrasive material; never let painted surfaces rub together. Keep hardware, instructions and cables in labeled bags inside the correct carton.
Use two people or appropriate lifting equipment for the main body. Clear the route before lifting, keep the load close to your center and avoid carrying it through a doorway while a detachable weapon is installed. Store cartons in a dry, stable indoor location off a damp floor. Do not stack heavy boxes on top of the statue packaging.
