On PC, press M to open the Project Slayers menu, then look for the character-customization controls. The Project Slayers Wiki describes changing colors for shirts, pants, shoes and hair by selecting an item and using a text field or color wheel. Because the exact live interface can change, use those labels as a guide and confirm what your game client currently shows.
Extra face accessories and eyes are described as gamepass features, while several more advanced color controls are labeled upcoming rather than confirmed live features.

What you can change in the described customization system
The clearest player-facing description comes from the community-maintained Project Slayers Wiki. It separates appearance choices into four clothing and character areas: Shirts, Pants, Shoes and Hair. In each area, the documented method is to choose the item first and then set its color with the available text field or color wheel.

That wording matters because the source describes an appearance editor, not a conventional Roblox avatar editor. You should make changes from inside the Project Slayers experience rather than expecting the Roblox website’s avatar page to control the character you use in this game.

The wiki also says additional face accessories and extra eyes are offered through gamepasses. It does not establish the current pass names, prices, regional availability or whether every listed pass is still purchasable, so check the purchase prompt in your own client before spending Robux.
Open the menu and find customization
PC keyboard path
- Join Project Slayers and wait until your character has loaded into the experience.
- Press M. The official Roblox experience listing identifies M as the default PC key for opening the menu.
- Inspect the menu for the character, appearance or customization option. The official listing does not document the internal menu labels, so the exact button text can differ after an update.
- Open the clothing or hair section, select the item you want to edit, and look for the color input associated with that selection.
If pressing M does nothing, click the game window first so it has keyboard focus. A changed keybind, an open chat box or a modal prompt can also intercept the keystroke. The official control information is for PC; equivalent controller and mobile paths are not established by the available documentation.
Why the menu may not match a guide
Project Slayers is updated independently of Roblox’s general avatar tools. A community wiki page can describe a menu that has moved, been renamed or been disabled in a particular build. Treat the labels above as a navigation strategy, not a guarantee that every client has identical buttons. If a category is absent, confirm that you are in the intended experience and check for an in-game update or maintenance notice before assuming your account is missing a feature.

Change a shirt, pants, shoes or hair color
Use the documented item-first workflow
- Open the relevant category: Shirts, Pants, Shoes or Hair.
- Select the specific item. Selecting first is important because the color control applies to the active item rather than to every item in the category.
- Use the text field or color wheel shown by the editor.
- Preview the result on your character, then apply, save or close the panel using whatever confirmation control your current interface provides.
- Repeat the process for each category you want to coordinate.
The source does not specify a universal color-code format for the described text field, nor does it provide a fixed list of accepted values. If typed input is rejected, use the color wheel instead of assuming that a CSS-style value, RGB triplet or other format is supported. A visible preview is the safest indication that the client accepted the selection.
Build a consistent outfit
For a deliberate look, change one category at a time and keep the preview visible. Set the dominant color on the shirt, use pants and shoes as contrast or accents, then adjust hair last so it frames the completed outfit. This approach also makes troubleshooting easier: if a color appears wrong, you know which category was changed most recently.
When a change does not appear
- Make sure an item is selected before editing the color; an unselected category may leave the control inactive.
- Check whether you confirmed or applied the change. Closing a panel can discard an uncommitted selection in some interfaces.
- Move the color wheel deliberately and look for a preview update. A tiny drag can appear to do nothing if the pointer starts outside the active area.
- Reopen the menu after respawning or changing areas. A temporary display issue can clear when the character is reloaded.
- If the category or control is missing for everyone, it may have been removed or changed in a newer build rather than being an account problem.
Hair, eyes and face accessories: what is actually established
Hair
Hair is one of the four categories the wiki describes for color editing. A separate Part 2 page says that two hair colors can be used, but that page labels its information as upcoming content that may change. Do not assume two-tone hair is available simply because a guide or screenshot mentions it; verify that your current editor exposes two independent color controls.

Eyes
The Part 2 page states that eye color cannot be changed and that extra eyes are available as a gamepass. These statements have different status: the eye-color limitation belongs to a page explicitly marked upcoming, while the gamepass claim appears in the wiki’s general customization description. Neither source supplies current pass pricing or a guarantee that the same options remain in the live game. If your menu offers an eye-color control, follow the live interface rather than an older limitation; if it does not, there is no documented player-side workaround.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFace accessories
Extra face accessories are likewise described as gamepass content. A gamepass may grant access to an additional selection, but the available evidence does not establish which accessories are included, whether ownership is permanent, or whether a pass is currently on sale. Read the Roblox purchase dialog carefully and avoid buying solely because a third-party guide lists an older feature.
Described features versus provisional Part 2 claims
The two wiki pages should not be read as equally confirmed feature lists. The general Character Customization page describes the item categories and the text-field or color-wheel workflow. The Part 2 page explicitly calls its material “upcoming content,” so its controls are provisional.

| Customization detail | General page description | Part 2 page claim | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clothing and hair categories | Shirts, Pants, Shoes and Hair are listed. | Not the focus of the page. | Use the categories as the primary documented workflow, then confirm their presence in your client. |
| Color input | Select an item, then use a text field or color wheel. | Palette and RGB controls are mentioned. | The text-field/color-wheel path is the clearer general description; palette/RGB controls are provisional. |
| Eye color | No confirmed eye-color editor is described. | Says eye color cannot be changed. | Treat the limitation as provisional because the page is labeled upcoming. |
| HEX input | No HEX requirement is stated. | Says HEX color input is unavailable. | Do not expect HEX support unless your current interface provides it. |
| Two hair colors | Hair color editing is described without a two-color promise. | Says two hair colors can be used. | Check for two controls in the live editor; the claim may not have shipped. |
| Extra eyes and face accessories | Described as gamepass offerings. | Not independently priced or dated. | Verify the live store listing, price and contents before purchase. |
This distinction prevents a common mistake: presenting planned or changing mechanics as if they were guaranteed features. A screenshot, video or wiki note can become outdated after a game update, while the controls visible in your current client are the practical authority for what you can use now.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What Roblox’s own documentation does—and does not—tell you
Roblox Creator Hub documents a developer-facing system called HumanoidDescription. Developers can use it to alter and apply a character’s scale, accessories, classic clothing, body parts, body colors and animations inside an experience. That documentation explains how an experience can programmatically define appearance properties; it is not a player tutorial for the Project Slayers menu.
Consequently, changing your Roblox avatar on the website, editing a catalog item or writing a script based on HumanoidDescription will not automatically provide a Project Slayers customization button. Only the experience’s own implementation determines which controls, colors and passes are available to its players.

Troubleshooting checklist
The M key does not open anything
- Click the game window and press M again.
- Close chat, text-entry boxes and other overlays that may capture keyboard input.
- Check whether you changed the game’s keybinds or are using a non-PC device.
- Rejoin the experience if the interface failed to load.
The color field accepts no value
- Confirm that you selected an item before typing.
- Try the color wheel, since the accepted text format is not specified.
- Remove extra spaces and test a simple value if the field visibly accepts text.
- Use the preview or apply control before leaving the panel.
A promised feature is missing
Check whether the feature came from the Part 2 page or another guide. Palette/RGB controls, HEX support details, eye-color behavior and two-tone hair are subject to the page’s upcoming-content caveat. If your current client lacks them, there is no evidence that a hidden Roblox setting can enable them.
A gamepass purchase is unclear
Read the in-game Roblox purchase dialog for the current price and entitlement. The available descriptions do not verify present-day pricing, regional availability or the exact contents of each pass, so do not infer those details from an old video or wiki revision.
A practical decision guide
- Want a basic outfit change? Open the menu with M on PC, choose Shirts, Pants or Shoes, select an item and use the available color control.
- Want different hair? Open Hair, select the style and adjust its color. Treat two-color hair as unavailable unless the live editor visibly provides it.
- Want new eyes or face items? Look for the relevant gamepass in the current in-game store and verify its price and contents before confirming a purchase.
- Following a Part 2 guide? Compare every claimed control with your current interface. Palette/RGB editing, eye-color rules, HEX support and two hair colors are not established as permanent live features.
- Trying to edit the Roblox avatar instead? That is a separate system. Project Slayers’ appearance is controlled by the experience’s own menu and implementation.
The safest way to customize is therefore incremental: open the in-game menu, make one documented category change, confirm the preview, and only then investigate optional or provisional features.
