Open and edit the Quick Panel
The Quick Panel is the area containing controls such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, sound, rotation and other shortcuts. Use the edit command that your panel displays.
- From the Home screen or any app, swipe down from the top edge to open notifications and Quick Panel controls.
- Swipe down again if the first swipe shows only a compact row of controls.
- Look for the panel’s Edit, pencil, three-dot menu or similarly named control. Samsung can change this icon or label between versions and carriers.
- Open the editing view. The controls that can be moved, removed or added will be shown according to your firmware.
- Press and hold a control, then drag it to the position you want if the editing view provides drag handles. Use the on-screen add or remove area for controls you want available or hidden.
- Save, tap Done, or close the editor using whatever confirmation control your A57 shows.
Open the panel again after saving and test it with one swipe and two swipes. Some layouts expose a small set of controls first and the rest after the second swipe. Your goal is to place the shortcuts you use most in the first view while leaving less frequent tools in the expanded area.
Choose a useful order

After editing, collapse and reopen the panel to see what appears on the first swipe. If a shortcut you need is buried after the second swipe, move it toward the first positions in the editor. If the panel becomes crowded, remove infrequently used controls rather than accepting a long, difficult-to-scan grid. You can return to the editor at any time and change the order again.

Match the layout to the way you use the phone
There is no single best arrangement. Someone who moves between wireless networks may put Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Mobile data first; someone who reads or watches in different orientations may prioritize rotation and sound. Keep controls that change a setting often near the first swipe, and leave rarely used tools in the expanded area. After making changes, test each moved button in a safe situation. Verify that Wi-Fi reconnects, that sound or vibration changes as expected, and that rotation behaves correctly. Testing helps distinguish a misplaced control from a service or permission issue.
Customize the rest of the phone without confusing it with the One UI 9 change
Updating One UI does not mean that every visual setting was newly introduced. Wallpaper, lock-screen design, home-screen layout, widgets, display mode, font size and sound preferences are broader Galaxy settings. Their labels can vary, so use Settings search or the edit controls shown on your A57.

Wallpaper and lock screen
Open Settings and search for wallpaper or lock screen, or press and hold an empty area of the Home screen if your launcher offers a customization menu. Choose the image, color or clock treatment available on your build, preview it, and apply it to the Home screen, Lock screen or both. If an option is missing, that is a software-availability issue rather than evidence that the update failed.

Home-screen layout and widgets
Press and hold an empty Home-screen area to look for options such as grid, widgets or Home-screen settings. Add only widgets that you use; they consume space and may affect battery life when they refresh frequently. Move a widget by pressing and holding it, then drag it to another panel. The exact grid sizes and widget choices are build-dependent.
Display and text
Use Settings search for display, screen mode, font size or screen zoom. Change one item at a time and preview the result. Increasing text or screen zoom can make controls easier to read but may reduce how much information fits on screen. These are general personalization controls, not changes Samsung specifically attributes to the A57’s One UI 9 notice.
Sound, vibration and notifications
Search Settings for sound, vibration or notifications to select a ringtone, adjust vibration intensity or decide which apps can alert you. Notification options can vary by Android and One UI build. What not to copy from One UI 9 foldable demonstrations
Do not look for a FlexWindow editor on the Galaxy A57. Samsung’s marketing page describes customizing the FlexWindow of the Galaxy Z Flip8, whose cover display is a foldable-specific component. That example cannot be used as proof that an A57 has the same screen or menu.

Troubleshoot missing or unchanged controls
The edit icon is not visible
- Expand the panel with a second downward swipe; the editor may not appear in the compact view.
- Check the three-dot or overflow menu for an Edit option instead of a pencil icon.
- Use Settings search for Quick Panel, Quick settings or edit buttons.
- Restart the phone after the update, then check the panel again.
Do not install a third-party panel solely to reproduce a screenshot from another Galaxy model. The documented A57 change is a built-in feature, and a separate app can introduce permissions and behavior that Samsung did not specify.

The phone has One UI 9, but the layout looks the same
The update may have installed successfully while the available controls remain similar to your previous arrangement. Open the editor and look for additional controls or movement options rather than expecting a new visual theme. Samsung’s wording says you can customize “even more than before”; it does not promise that every phone will receive an identical set of buttons or a dramatic redesign.
The update is not offered
Confirm the model and carrier, install any pending prerequisite update, and check again later through Settings > Software update > Download and install. Samsung’s October 12, 2026 date identifies the release listed for SM-A576B; it is not a guaranteed simultaneous delivery date for every market. If the phone is managed by an employer or carrier, administrator policies can also affect update timing.
A control is unavailable after editing
Some functions require a compatible radio, permission or service and may be hidden on a particular regional build. Look up the function in Settings, check whether an associated permission is enabled, and confirm that the A57 is connected to the required network or accessory. If the control is not offered anywhere, record the phone’s model, carrier and software version before contacting Samsung or the carrier; those details are more useful than a screenshot from a different model.
You want to undo an arrangement
Return to the same Quick Panel editor and move controls back to their previous positions. If your build offers a reset or restore command, read its confirmation carefully because it may affect the entire panel rather than one button.
