To run a repeating temple-music program on YouTube Live, prepare a rights-cleared audio-and-video playlist, enable live streaming, connect an encoder to YouTube Studio with the stream URL and stream key, and turn on repeat playback in the encoder. Test the broadcast as unlisted before making it public. You do not need a dedicated hardware encoder for a prerecorded loop; YouTube says creators can use equipment they already have.
1. Prepare the music and visuals—and clear the rights
Make a program from music and visuals you own, or confirm that your permission covers the intended live broadcast, the territories where it may be viewed, and any archive YouTube creates. Keep copies of licenses and permission records.

A license does not always prevent an interruption. YouTube scans live streams for third-party material; a stream may be replaced by a placeholder, interrupted, or terminated. If a rights owner has licensed material to your channel, ask whether the channel must be allowlisted through Content ID for the live broadcast to proceed without interruption.

Check visuals as carefully as audio: devotional artwork, photographs, recordings of performances, and background tracks may have separate rights owners. If you cannot establish that the channel has the necessary rights, leave that material out.

2. Enable live streaming before you need it
Check YouTube Studio for channel eligibility and any live-stream restriction. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube’s encoder setup guidance, so do not leave activation until the scheduled broadcast.
3. Choose an immediate stream or schedule an event
Go live immediately
In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live, then use the Stream tab. This is the straightforward choice when you are ready to start and do not need an upcoming event page.

Schedule the stream
To announce the program in advance, open YouTube Studio → Create → Go Live → Manage → Schedule stream and create an upcoming event. Scheduling gives viewers an event page they can find ahead of time and lets them set reminders.

YouTube’s encoder workflow uses a stream URL and stream key. In Live Control Room, copy these values into the corresponding streaming settings in your chosen encoder. The stream key is a credential: keep it private, and do not show it in a public screen capture or share it with people who should not be able to broadcast on the channel.

A software encoder is a viable option for a prerecorded loop. YouTube also lists hardware encoders for higher-production setups, but a hardware unit is not an assumed requirement. Choose based on your production and reliability needs. YouTube’s live-streaming tips say, “You do not need expensive equipment, what you have at hand will do.”
Choose the ingestion protocol for the job
YouTube recommends RTMPS for live ingestion. HLS can suit workflows such as HDR or codecs that RTMP does not support, but HLS has higher latency. A temple-music loop without live audience interaction usually has less reason to prioritize ultra-low latency than a broadcast built around real-time participation.
5. Set the encoder to repeat the program
- Add the prepared audio-and-video program as the encoder’s input or media source.
- In that encoder’s current controls, enable repeat or loop playback for the source or playlist. The exact control and supported source types depend on the encoder and its version; check its current documentation rather than relying on an unverified menu path.
- Confirm that both picture and sound restart as intended at the end of the program. If you use several items, check the playlist order and whether the encoder repeats the whole playlist or only the selected item.
- Save the encoder configuration securely. Do not include the stream key in screenshots, public notes, or shared files.
Test the full cycle before going public. A loop that works once may still have a gap, silent transition, or unexpected stop when it reaches the end of the media.

- Create an unlisted test event if you want to check the setup without presenting it as a public program.
- Start the encoder and wait for the feed to appear in YouTube Live Control Room.
- Preview the video and listen to the audio. Check that the image is correct, sound is present and at a suitable level, and the loop behaves as expected.
- Verify that the event is accessible with the intended visibility and that the stream is reaching the right channel.
- When satisfied, use the event’s controls to start the public broadcast if required by the chosen stream settings.
YouTube recommends setting up an encoder at least 2 hours before an event and starting it at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time. These are preparation recommendations, not activation requirements. Keep the stream under observation after launch; a working preview does not ensure that the encoder, computer, or network will remain healthy.

- Stone Temple Pilots roared on to the scene 25 years ago with their raucous debut Core. A breakout success, the album peaked at #3 on the Billboard charts, dominated radio waves with hits like "Sex Type Thing" and "Wicked Garden," and has been certified 8x Platinum by the RIAA. The band also took home the 1994 Grammy® Award for Best Hard Rock Performance for their smash single "Plush." This is a single disc remaster of the original album.
7. Plan the broadcast length and archive
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. If you need an archive, end the stream deliberately and verify the result in YouTube Studio. Do not assume that one continuous broadcast longer than 12 hours will produce a single automatic archive: YouTube’s stated automatic-archive guidance covers streams under 12 hours.
For a longer program, plan how the stream will end and how you will preserve any recording you need. A series of shorter sessions may make archive expectations easier to manage, but each session still needs its own monitoring and end-of-stream check.
8. Protect monetization eligibility as a separate check
Copyright clearance and monetization originality are different questions. YouTube’s monetization policy applies to live streams and identifies repetitive or mass-produced material as “inauthentic content”; its policy also addresses reused content separately. A rights-cleared loop is not automatically eligible for monetization.
Use original performances where possible, add meaningful variation and context to the program, and retain documentation of rights. These are prudent editorial choices, not a guarantee that YouTube will approve a channel or a particular format for monetization.
Troubleshooting a temple-music loop
- The event is not available yet: confirm live streaming is enabled and that the channel has no live-stream restriction. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours.
- YouTube receives no encoder feed: check that the encoder has the correct stream URL and stream key from Live Control Room, and that the encoder is running. Re-copy the credentials if you suspect an error; never post the key while asking for help.
- The feed arrives, but the loop stops or does not repeat: check the encoder’s current repeat controls and playlist behavior. Run an unlisted test through the end of the program before scheduling a public broadcast.
- The stream is interrupted or replaced: review the audio and visuals for third-party content. Confirm that permissions cover live use and ask the rights owner whether Content ID allowlisting is required.
- The archive is missing or incomplete: check the stream duration and the archive in Studio. YouTube’s automatic-archive statement applies to streams under 12 hours; do not rely on it as a guarantee for a longer continuous broadcast.
- The loop is cleared for copyright but monetization is uncertain: assess the channel and program against YouTube’s separate reused- and inauthentic-content policies. Permission to use material does not, by itself, establish monetization eligibility.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you would rather not leave an encoder computer and home connection running, StreamNeo keeps a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos: upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It runs in the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home; each slot streams what you uploaded at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos and streams to YouTube; it does not broadcast from a camera.
