To run Marathi abhang music continuously on YouTube, prepare a rights-cleared playlist, then send its audio and visuals through YouTube Live Control Room using an encoder. The encoder and playback source must keep operating, with monitoring and a recovery plan for interruptions. Before launch, confirm your channel is eligible for live streaming and that every recording and underlying work is cleared for the intended online use.
1. Get your YouTube channel ready
YouTube requires a verified channel and no live-streaming restriction within the previous 90 days to enable live streaming. YouTube supports mobile, webcam, encoder, and console workflows; for a continuous radio-style program with audio and visuals, the encoder route is the most applicable. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility and setup guidance.

2. Prepare the abhang program and encoder
Build a continuous playback source
Assemble the abhang recordings into a playlist or playback program that can repeat continuously. Pair it with an appropriate visual, such as devotional artwork or a simple visual loop. Check that the source continues into the next track and does not stop after one pass. YouTube does not prescribe one universal 24/7 architecture, so choose a setup that can keep both playback and encoding available for the duration you intend to stream.
Connect through Live Control Room
- In YouTube Studio, open Create and select Go live to enter Live Control Room. Create or schedule the stream and set its audience and other event details.
- Choose the encoder workflow. Copy the stream URL and stream key from the stream settings into the corresponding fields in your encoder. Treat the key as private; anyone who obtains it may be able to send video to your stream.
- Start the playback source and encoder, then check the Live Control Room preview for picture and sound before you start the public broadcast. Use an unlisted or private test where appropriate, and confirm the stream opens on the channel or watch page and on a mobile device.
- If your workflow records locally, check that the recording file is growing. Keep an eye on the live preview and audio/video quality once the broadcast begins.
YouTube’s operational guidance recommends monitoring stream quality and testing failover with a backup encoder. Plan for what happens if the playback application, encoder, computer or hardware, power, or internet connection stops working; those are operational needs, not a single YouTube-mandated 24/7 configuration. YouTube says, “You do not need expensive equipment, what you have at hand will do.” Read its live-streaming tips and encoder setup guidance for the current workflow.
#1 Best Overall
Choose equipment that fits your operation
- Software encoder on a computer you already own: a practical starting point, provided the computer, playback source, power, and internet remain available. YouTube documents software encoders and does not require expensive equipment to begin.
- Dedicated hardware encoder: optional for creators who prefer a hardware-based setup or scheduled media playback. YouTube’s encoder directory lists the AJA HELO Plus and notes that its PlayToStream function can schedule prerecorded media directly to YouTube Live without a computer. Check current availability and suitability before choosing a model; it is not required.
The cited YouTube guidance does not establish a universal bitrate, encoder uptime, hardware price, or internet and power configuration for every setup. Use settings appropriate to your chosen encoder and connection rather than assuming one bitrate or hardware specification fits all.
3. Decide how you want to handle replays
YouTube states that streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. If preserving a replay is important, plan the broadcast as sessions below that limit and confirm the archive appears in Studio. The cited guidance does not promise automatic archiving for streams that run longer than 12 hours. See YouTube’s encoder stream guidance.
4. Clear rights for every recording and work
Rights clearance is a launch requirement, not something to infer from the devotional or traditional status of a song. YouTube’s livestream terms say the provider represents that it has all necessary worldwide rights for the live content, including music licensing rights from artists, labels, publishers and other royalty participants, and has met requirements in the stream territory.
Check the recording and the underlying abhang
A musical work and a sound recording can be separate protected subject matter. India’s Copyright Act lists rights in musical works that include reproduction, public performance, and communication to the public. Its definition of communication to the public covers making a work or performance available to be heard by the public, including at times chosen by individual members. These provisions do not identify the owner of a particular abhang recording or establish which society represents it. Review the actual recording and underlying work, the relevant territories, and the permissions needed for online streaming. See the Government of India Copyright Office’s Chapter III and Chapter I.
Rank #3
For repertoire and licensing inquiries, IPRS’s licensing guidance says online streaming platforms using music need a license for its repertoire and/or to pay author royalties for its members. PPL India’s music tariffs and licensing page describes non-physical and digital recorded-music use as including online streaming. These are starting points for checking relevant repertoire and contacts, not proof that either organization controls every Marathi abhang or every recording. Check rights track by track with the appropriate rights holders.
Allowlist the channel if a rights owner has licensed the music
YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. If it detects music, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and interrupt or terminate the broadcast. YouTube advises creators who have licensed third-party content to ask the rights owner to add the channel to its Content ID allowlist. A license alone may not prevent interruption if the channel has not been allowlisted. Read YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
Creator Music is not a live-stream shortcut
YouTube’s Creator Music help says its tracks for licensing or revenue sharing may be used only in long-form videos, not live streams or Shorts. The help page describes availability for U.S. creators in the YouTube Partner Program, with expansion outside the U.S. pending; it is not a documented licensing route for a Marathi abhang livestream. See Creator Music usage details.

Or let it run in the cloud
If you would rather not keep a computer and playback setup running at home, StreamNeo can keep an uploaded-video playlist live on YouTube from the cloud. Upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps the stream running with your computer off, and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. Your videos stream as uploaded, at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot. The first day is free with no card. Monthly is $9.99 per month. For Indian creators, UPI works; cards are accepted in India and at worldwide checkout. Each slot includes 10 GB storage, pooled across active slots, and support from the StreamNeo team. See StreamNeo for details. Start your free first day on StreamNeo.
