You can run a 24/7 fireplace channel by sending a prepared fireplace video and audio feed to YouTube through an encoder—or by using a cloud service that loops uploaded videos. Before you start, verify that your channel is eligible to livestream and that you have the rights to both the footage and sound. Going live is separate from qualifying for monetization: YouTube reviews the channel’s originality and may interrupt a stream that matches third-party content.
What you need before going live
- A verified YouTube channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. YouTube also requires streamers to be at least 16. Check the current eligibility details on YouTube’s live-streaming requirements.
- A fireplace video and audio track you created, commissioned, or have permission to use for the intended purposes.
- A way to send the prepared audio and video to YouTube. YouTube supports encoder-based streaming, a common choice for productions using overlays or other production hardware. Its guidance does not establish a minimum computer specification or require a dedicated streaming computer.
- A plan for monitoring the broadcast, handling interruptions, and deciding whether to keep an archive.
1. Clear the fireplace footage and sound
The safest rights position is to use footage and audio you recorded yourself or commissioned, keeping records of ownership and permissions. A crackling-fire sound effect, background music, stock footage, and a video clip can each have separate rights. A licence should cover livestreaming, the relevant territories and duration, both audio and video, and archiving if you intend to keep a replay.

If you use licensed third-party material, ask the rights owner whether they can add your channel to their Content ID allowlist before you broadcast. YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content, and it may temporarily interrupt or terminate a stream if a match remains. A licence by itself may not prevent an interruption when your channel is not allowlisted. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright and live streams.

2. Prepare a stable encoder feed
Arrange the fireplace video and sound as a prepared feed, then use an encoder workflow to send it to YouTube. YouTube supports encoder streaming, but does not prescribe one specific encoder, computer, or set of hardware specifications for a 24/7 fireplace broadcast. Choose a setup that can reliably provide your intended audio and video feed; do not assume that a computer capable of a short test will necessarily remain stable indefinitely.

- #1 Seller - Your choice of Crackling or Music Option - Extended edition!
- Excellent quality and clarity.
- Full length of Fire is 60 minutes from start to finish
- In YouTube Studio, start the live-stream setup and choose the encoder-based broadcast workflow. Verify that livestreaming is enabled on the channel before scheduling a public launch.
- Copy the stream key from YouTube Studio into your encoder. Treat it like a password: do not share it or publish it. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in Studio and update the encoder.
- Configure the encoder to send the prepared fireplace video and audio. YouTube’s cited encoder guidance does not give a universal bitrate, resolution, keyframe interval, or minimum computer specification for this use, so do not treat a single set of settings as mandatory for every setup.
- Run a private or short test before launch. Check that both picture and sound reach YouTube, the stream remains stable, and the scheduled broadcast displays the intended title and details.
If you are building an encoder or streaming service that sends video to YouTube using HLS, YouTube has protocol-specific requirements: use Media Playlists rather than Master Playlists, single-stream encoding, muxed audio and video, HTTPS transport, and the required naming and sequence conventions. These HLS rules are for that protocol and are not general setup requirements for every creator. See YouTube’s HLS ingestion guidance.
3. Schedule and describe the broadcast honestly
Give the stream a clear title and description so viewers understand what they will see and hear. If the fireplace is a looped recording, do not present it as live camera footage. You can state whether the video is your original recording or licensed material, and explain any meaningful creative contribution, such as original sound design or a deliberately produced visual scene. YouTube does not prescribe a title or disclosure template in the cited guidance.

4. Plan for continuity and archives
A continuous broadcast needs a way to recover from a dropped connection or a stopped encoder. Decide who or what will notice a failure and how you will restart the stream. If you use a computer-based encoder, the computer and its connection are part of that continuity plan; a power, network, or software problem can stop the feed.

YouTube’s monetization update says live streams that are not archived do not count toward qualified watch hours. The exact archive behavior and duration limits for a single very long stream are not established here; check current YouTube Studio guidance before planning around a replay or watch-hour goal. 5. Treat monetization as a separate review
Being able to broadcast—and having permission to use the material—does not guarantee that a channel will qualify for monetization. YouTube applies its channel monetization policies to live streams as well as other content. Its July 15, 2025 clarification describes repetitive or mass-produced material as “inauthentic content”; reviewers assess the channel, so a repeated fireplace loop is not assured approval. Give the channel clear original value rather than relying on repetition alone.
Copyright enforcement and reused-content review are separate. YouTube says reused-content review is not based on whether you have permission or whether a use is fair use. Even with a licence, make your own creative contribution and the channel’s value clear to viewers and reviewers. Read YouTube’s channel monetization policies.

StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for keeping an uploaded fireplace video or playlist live around the clock. Upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home: your computer can be off, and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a camera feed.
Every slot streams your upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot with no re-encode or quality tiers. Slots include 10 GB storage each, pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, and support from the StreamNeo team. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. The same product is on every plan; only the billing period changes. UPI and cards are supported in India, and card checkout is available worldwide.

Troubleshooting common problems
- You cannot start a livestream: Check channel verification, the age requirement, and whether the channel has a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days.
- The encoder is not reaching YouTube: Confirm that the correct stream key is in use and that the encoder is sending the intended feed. If the key may have been exposed, reset it in Studio and replace it in the encoder.
- The stream is interrupted after a copyright match: Check the matched material and resolve the rights issue. For licensed material, contact the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting; a licence alone may not prevent interruption.
- The stream stops unexpectedly: Check the encoder, computer power, and network connection, then re-establish the broadcast. A continuous stream needs monitoring and a recovery plan.
- The fireplace loop does not qualify for monetization: A rights licence does not settle reused-content review. Review the channel as a whole and make its original creative contribution and value clear; approval is not guaranteed.
- The stream is missing from a watch-hour plan: Confirm whether it was archived. YouTube says unarchived livestreams do not count toward qualified watch hours.
