You can run a continuous Tibetan meditation music broadcast on YouTube with a verified channel and an encoder such as OBS, which sends a music program and visual feed to YouTube Live. Prepare rights-cleared audio, configure the encoder, and monitor it while it runs: neither YouTube’s setup guidance nor OBS promises an uninterrupted stream indefinitely. Before you build the stream
Check that your channel can go live
YouTube requires a verified channel and no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. If this will be your first live stream, YouTube for Artists advises enabling it at least 24 hours before your planned launch so you have time to complete setup. Check your channel’s live-stream eligibility in YouTube Studio and resolve any restriction before scheduling the broadcast. Make rights decisions before selecting music
Use music you created or have permission to transmit continuously on YouTube. If you want the live stream archived, confirm that the permission also covers the resulting recording. A license alone may not stop YouTube’s automated checks: YouTube says all live streams are scanned for third-party content, and a detected match can trigger a placeholder or warning, followed by interruption or termination if the content remains. A copyright or Community Guidelines strike can also end a stream. YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams explains the risks.

For licensed third-party music, ask the rights holder to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist, and keep written confirmation alongside the license and its permitted uses. YouTube warns that a stream can still be interrupted when the channel is not allowlisted, even if you have a license. YouTube for Artists also advises coordinating with a label or distributor when using protected music. These steps reduce risk; they do not guarantee that a stream will avoid claims or interruption.

Choose how to keep the broadcast running
Run an encoder on your own computer
OBS sends a stream directly from your computer to YouTube. A dedicated desktop or mini PC can host it, but buying a particular computer does not by itself guarantee continuous operation, and the sources cited here do not establish minimum hardware specifications. Your computer, power, network connection and OBS session all need to keep working. This approach gives you local control, but you must watch for connection trouble and recover the encoder if it stops.
Use a cloud service
A hosted encoder can keep the video program running without leaving your home computer on. Compare services by whether they support your intended content and workflow, what happens if YouTube disconnects, and the service’s terms and cost. No provider performance, price or reliability comparison is established here, so check those details directly before choosing.
Build and test an OBS broadcast
1. Prepare one continuous program

Choose music you own or have cleared for continuous YouTube transmission. If you plan to keep a replay, confirm archived playback is covered as well.

For the simplest loop, assemble the music into one continuous audio file and check its beginning and end for unwanted silence or abrupt transitions. Alternatively, configure a playlist workflow that returns to the beginning; test that transition before going live.

Choose a visual you are entitled to use, such as a still image or a looped animation. A static visual can accompany a continuous music program. Avoid adding imagery, recordings or artwork unless you have the necessary rights for the broadcast and any archive.

Play the complete program locally. Confirm the audio is audible, the visual is correct, and looping does not leave a gap or stop at the end.
2. Create a YouTube live stream and protect its key

In YouTube Studio, open Create > Go live, then create or select the stream. Choose whether the stream will be public, unlisted or private, and whether you want to archive it. These choices affect discovery and replay availability; make sure your music rights match your archive choice.

In the stream’s settings, copy the stream key for the encoder. Treat it like a password: do not show it on screen or share it. If it is exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder with the new key.

In OBS, open Settings > Stream, select YouTube as the service, and connect the account or enter the stream key, depending on the options shown in your OBS version. YouTube documents RTMPS as RTMP carried over an SSL connection; use the secure ingestion option when it is available. RTMPS protects the connection to the ingestion endpoint, but does not prevent outages or copyright interruptions. See YouTube’s RTMPS ingestion documentation.
3. Add the audio and visual in OBS

In the OBS Sources panel, add a Media Source for a prepared audio-and-video file, or add the audio and visual as separate sources if your program uses separate files. Enable looping for the media source where available, and verify the source continues rather than ending after one playback. OBS labels can vary by version and source type.

Check the audio mixer while the program plays. Make sure the intended source is active, the meter responds, and desktop sounds or alerts will not interrupt the music. Monitor the preview for black frames, an incorrect crop or an image that disappears when the audio loops.

Open Settings > Video and choose a canvas and output resolution that suit your visual and computer. For a still image and music, higher resolution may not improve the listener’s experience; a stable output matters more than choosing the largest setting.

Open Settings > Output and set the encoder bitrate, audio settings and keyframe interval to values supported by YouTube for the chosen output resolution and encoder. The sources cited here do not provide a current bitrate, resolution, frame-rate or keyframe table, so do not rely on a guessed universal number: check YouTube’s current encoder guidance in Studio or its help pages for your selected format.
4. Test the end-to-end stream

Start OBS and check the YouTube Live Control Room preview before making the broadcast public. Confirm that both sound and picture arrive, the audio is synchronized, and the stream title and visibility are correct.

Run the loop long enough to observe at least one full program restart. If you plan to archive, confirm the selected archive setting and remember that Content ID claims may be made after the live stream ends.

Start the public broadcast from YouTube Studio or use the stream’s auto-start option if enabled. Keep the Control Room and OBS status visible so you can notice when the connection drops.
Keep it operating and recover from interruptions
A 24/7 stream is an operating goal, not a special YouTube mode or an assurance of uninterrupted service. OBS describes dropped frames as a sign that the connection may be unstable or unable to keep up with the configured bitrate. Monitor OBS and the YouTube Control Room, and have someone able to respond if the encoder, computer, power or connection fails. OBS’s help resources describe dropped-frame troubleshooting.

Dropped frames or an unstable connection: check the local network and whether it can sustain the configured bitrate. Lower the bitrate or output demands to an appropriate YouTube-supported setting if the connection cannot keep up, then test again.

YouTube preview is blank or silent: verify the correct OBS scene and sources are active, the media is playing, the audio mixer is not muted, and the stream key is current.

The program stops at the end of a file: enable looping for the source or rebuild the program as a tested continuous file or playlist. Confirm it restarts before leaving the stream unattended.

YouTube warns about copyrighted content or interrupts the broadcast: do not assume a license will prevent an automated match. Follow the notice, remove or replace disputed material if needed, and contact the rights holder about channel allowlisting. Keep permission records available.

The live ends unexpectedly: inspect OBS, the network and the YouTube Control Room, then restart the encoder and broadcast as appropriate. There is no guarantee that a local encoder will reconnect without intervention.

Costs and rights to account for
The OBS route uses a computer you already have or acquire, plus a sufficiently stable internet connection; no minimum computer specification or total operating cost is established by the sources cited here. A dedicated machine may make the setup easier to leave in place, but it cannot remove dependence on local power, connectivity and monitoring. For music, calculate the cost and permission scope separately: a purchase or general license should not be assumed to include continuous streaming or archived playback.
