To create a 24/7 Indian lofi music stream on YouTube, clear the music and visuals for continuous streaming, verify your channel, set up an encoder such as OBS, create a stream in YouTube Studio, and test it before going public. A 24/7 schedule is an operating goal, not a guarantee of uninterrupted service: your encoder, internet connection, YouTube’s systems, and music-rights status all matter.
1. Check that your channel can livestream
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Streamers must be at least 16. If this is your first stream, YouTube for Artists advises enabling live streaming at least 24 hours before you plan to go live.

Check your channel’s access in YouTube Studio before preparing a launch. If live streaming is unavailable, resolve the channel eligibility or restriction issue first; changing encoder settings will not bypass it.
2. Clear the music and visuals before building the stream
Use music, artwork, and animation that you created or have specific permission to use for this kind of broadcast. “Royalty-free,” “no copyright,” a credit line, or availability on a music platform does not by itself establish permission for a continuous YouTube livestream or its archived video.

Before launch, retain the relevant written permissions and check whether they cover the intended territories, continuous looping, monetization if planned, and the archived video. These are prudent rights checks, not an India-specific legal opinion. Rights depend on the particular composition, recording, license, territory, and rights holders.
YouTube warns: “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” If YouTube detects third-party material, it may replace the live image with a placeholder and warn you; if the material remains, the stream can be interrupted or terminated. A license may not prevent that interruption. If a label or distributor controls Content ID for the music, ask it to add your channel to its allowlist and confirm the arrangement before going live. An archived stream can also receive a Content ID claim after the broadcast.

3. Choose the live format for the study scene
A widescreen ambient scene is a natural fit for a conventional horizontal stream. YouTube also supports vertical live streams, which can appear in the Shorts feed. You can make the choice based on the experience you want; these format features do not guarantee a particular audience or reach.

YouTube says horizontal and vertical streams can share chat in dual-format streaming. Choose the format deliberately: a vertical crop should still make sense on a phone, while a horizontal image should not leave important visual detail outside the frame.
4. Install OBS and prepare a simple scene
OBS Studio is free and open source. Its Auto Configuration Wizard can set basic streaming options. The official sources cited here do not establish a minimum processor, memory, graphics, or storage specification, so first assess whether your existing computer can run the scene and encoder you intend to use.

- Run the wizard: in OBS, use Tools > Auto-Configuration Wizard and follow its prompts for streaming.
- Add your visual: create a scene with your cleared artwork or animation. If using an animated loop, check that it returns cleanly to its beginning.
- Add the music: add your cleared audio source and listen for silence, clipping, or abrupt transitions between tracks.
- Set up the stream connection: use the stream details and connection method shown in YouTube Studio. Treat the stream key as a password: do not publish it, include it in a screen recording, or share it with anyone who does not need access.
OBS can expose settings for bitrate, resolution, and keyframes, but the cited platform guidance does not establish a universal value for your connection or setup. Start with the Auto Configuration Wizard, use YouTube Studio’s incoming preview, and verify the actual audio and video before launch rather than relying on an unsupported one-size-fits-all preset.
5. Create the broadcast in YouTube Studio and test it
- Open YouTube Studio: go to Create > Go live and create or schedule the broadcast. Review the title, description, audience setting, and visibility before saving.
- Connect OBS: select the encoder workflow in the live control room and connect using the stream details YouTube provides. Keep the stream key private.
- Wait for the incoming preview: confirm that YouTube is receiving the intended scene and audio before making the stream public.
- Run an unlisted test: YouTube for Artists recommends an unlisted test before a public launch. Check the correct destination, continuous audio, visual loop, and the live-status indicators in both Studio and OBS.
- Go public only after checks pass: start the broadcast from the encoder and confirm the status in the Live Control Room.
A useful preflight checklist is:
- The channel is eligible and the stream is scheduled for the right time.
- The music and visuals have permissions appropriate to the planned use, including Content ID arrangements where needed.
- The audio plays continuously and the visual does not freeze or reveal an unintended desktop or scene.
- The stream is going to the intended channel and has the intended visibility.
- You know how you will notice a failure and restart or recover the broadcast.
6. Monitor the stream and plan for interruptions
Keep an eye on YouTube’s Live Control Room and OBS connection status. OBS notes that dropped frames can indicate an unstable connection or one that cannot sustain the selected bitrate. If dropped frames recur, inspect network stability and the selected bitrate rather than assuming the stream is healthy because the encoder remains open.
Have a practical recovery plan: check whether OBS is still connected, whether the internet connection has recovered, and whether YouTube Studio shows the stream as live or interrupted. Restart the encoder or reconnect as appropriate, then verify the incoming preview again. Neither YouTube nor the cited setup guidance guarantees uninterrupted 24/7 operation from a particular computer or connection.
