Arc Raiders has two separate ways to gain practical storage: upgrade the regular Stash in Speranza, and place storage furniture in your Outpost. Stash upgrades are purchased with coins from the Stash screen. Outpost storage depends on learned furniture designs, their material costs, and the rooms and placement slots you have unlocked. The two capacities should not be treated as one shared inventory.
Furniture designs arrive through Topside discoveries, Outpost upgrades, and a small number of seasonal or downloadable sources. The game shows the exact materials for each design, while Celeste is the reported trader for the newer furniture materials. Because Frozen Trail changed the progression and prices, use the live recipe and Expand panels in your client as the final authority.

How the two storage systems differ
Your Stash is the conventional account storage for equipment and items you bring back from Topside. It has a fixed slot progression: you buy the next tier, receive a larger Stash, and can immediately use those slots from the normal inventory interface.
Outpost furniture is a separate storage route described by the current secondary guide. A rack, shelf, table, or cabinet occupies a physical furniture position and stores the category of item shown in that furniture’s description. It is useful for organizing weapons, crafting components, trinkets, and food, but it does not simply add the same slots displayed by the Stash counter.

- Use furniture when you want category-specific storage in the Outpost and have the designs, materials, and room positions to support it.

Finding and unlocking furniture designs
What a design unlock does
A furniture design works like a blueprint-style unlock. Once learned, it appears in the Outpost furniture/building interface as a craftable item. Learning a design does not automatically pay its material cost or place the finished object; you still have to inspect the recipe, gather the listed components, craft it, and choose a valid placement.
Where the designs come from
The Frozen Trail 2.0.0 update, dated October 8, 2026, added the furniture design system. A community reference that attributes its figures to Embark’s update reports 100 designs in total:

Those counts are a 2026 community report, not a guarantee that every design is available in every region, account, or later patch. If your catalogue shows a different total, trust the in-game catalogue and the current update notes.

Getting the materials
Celeste is the reported vendor for the new materials used by furniture recipes. Visit her trade interface and compare what she offers with the design you are planning to build. Individual furniture costs have not been published in the cited references, so do not rely on a generic shopping list. Select the design in your own furniture interface and retain or farm exactly the components it names.

Design availability and material availability are separate checks. You can know a recipe and still be unable to craft it because you lack a new furniture component, an ordinary construction part, or a required room slot. Check all three before leaving on a farming run.
Crafting furniture in the Outpost
The labels can change between builds, but the reliable workflow is to use the Outpost furniture or building interface rather than the field-crafting screen.
- Return to the Outpost. Open the furniture/build mode and browse the designs you have learned. A design that is still locked will show its unlock condition instead of a craft command.
- Select the object. Read its complete description, including the item category it accepts, the number of objects it can hold, the material list, and any room or placement requirement.
- Check your inventory. Compare the recipe with your carried and stored materials. If a component is new to Frozen Trail, check Celeste before spending older stock on unrelated projects.
- Craft the furniture. Confirm only after the interface shows the required components and the destination room. Crafting and placement are separate actions in builds that let you queue or move objects.
- Place and test it. Put the object in an available furniture slot, then open it and deposit one representative item. The test confirms that you selected the intended storage category and that the slot is usable.
- Record the layout. If you are about to install an expansion room, decide where weapon racks, shelves, and work areas should go first. The current guide reports that installed expansion rooms cannot be moved or swapped; that behavior is guide-reported and should be verified in your project panel.
Do not confuse field crafting with furniture crafting
Embark’s Help Center instructions, last updated October 27, 2025, describe improvised field crafting: open Inventory, choose the Crafting tab, and use the material filter to show recipes supported by your current supplies. That screen is useful for consumables and other field items. It is not evidence that every Outpost furniture recipe appears there. For furniture, use the Outpost design/build interface and its recipe panel.

Exact steps in Speranza
- Enter Speranza and open your inventory.
- Switch to the Stash view.
- Select Expand. The panel displays your current level, the next capacity, and the coin price offered to your account.
- Check that you have enough coins and that the displayed slot increase is the one you want.
- Confirm the purchase. The new capacity applies to the standard Stash immediately.
Frozen Trail revised both currency requirements and tier progression. The amount shown in your current Expand panel takes precedence over older tables, screenshots, or remembered prices.

Capacity progression
The following capacity sequence is reported by the 2026 community reference and the AllThingsHow guide updated October 13, 2026. It starts at 64 slots and reaches 328 at level 12. Each purchase after the base level adds 24 slots.

The figures in the cost column are a dated secondary-source snapshot, not a price promise. The same guide warns that Frozen Trail changed the prices, so your in-game panel may show different amounts. The 328-slot figure also describes the standard progression only: it excludes Expedition bonuses and capacity associated with Nomadic Envoys.
When to buy the next tier
Buy the next tier when overflow is forcing you to discard items that are expensive to replace or when a planned expedition needs a clear return path. Early tiers are relatively inexpensive in the reported table; levels 10 through 12 require a much larger coin reserve. Before a high-tier purchase, compare the displayed 24-slot gain with the materials you could save by moving frequently used categories into Outpost furniture.

- Deliver construction materials. The guide lists 3 Planks, 5 Sheetmetal, 10 ARC Alloy, and 10 Advanced Electrical Components.
- Complete the combat objective. Deal 800 damage to airborne ARC machines and 300 damage to a Bully.
After the project registers as complete, inspect the furniture catalogue and the available rooms. Unlocking the project does not mean every rack or shelf is free; each object still has its own design, material, and placement requirements.
What Outpost furniture can store
Storage behavior and capacities are taken from the current guide’s descriptions. Open each furniture item’s live description before committing rare materials, because a later patch can alter capacity or accepted categories.

The guide also reports that crafting materials and Scrappy food placed in Outpost furniture are automatically drawn when needed. Treat that as a convenience to verify with one low-value test item; automatic withdrawal is a storage behavior, not an increase to the standard Stash counter.

Expansion rooms add more furniture positions, but the reported inability to move or swap an installed room makes the first layout decision important. Sketch a simple plan before confirming an installation: reserve the most accessible wall for weapon racks, leave a clear route to shelves and cabinets, and keep decorative objects away from high-traffic interaction points.
Version-sensitive clipping reports include furniture passing through the Outpost structure, a blocking object that makes a slot unselectable, and a Raider seated at a table clipping through it. These were listed as fixes in progress in the furniture reference. If one occurs, remove and replace the object if the interface allows it, reload the Outpost, and check the current patch notes before assuming your save is damaged. Do not treat an old bug report as proof that the issue still exists in your build.
Stash upgrades versus furniture: a practical decision guide

A sensible order for a new Outpost is to buy the first affordable Stash tiers, learn designs as you encounter them, and build only the furniture that solves a specific overflow problem. Once the Stash panel shows a steep late-tier price, category-specific furniture can preserve coins while also making the base easier to navigate. Players who value a single universal inventory may prefer to keep prioritizing Stash tiers instead.
Expeditions and Nomadic Envoys
The reported 328-slot ceiling applies to the base Stash progression. The community reference separately reports 12 additional slots for each completed Expedition. Those are bonuses, not extra levels in the 64-to-328 table. Nomadic Envoy capacity is also described separately and depends on the offer available in its rotation. Check the active Expedition and Envoy panels rather than adding those bonuses to your base total in advance.

My furniture recipe is missing
Confirm that you learned the design, are viewing the Outpost furniture catalogue rather than the Inventory Crafting tab, and have completed any listed Outpost upgrade. A design tied to the Frozen Trail Pass or Collector Set DLC may not appear without that entitlement.
The recipe is visible but I cannot craft it
Open the design’s material list and compare every component, not just the headline furniture material. Check Celeste for the newer trade materials, then verify that the destination room has an unused furniture position. A full room can look like a missing recipe when the actual problem is placement capacity.
The Expand button shows a different price
Use the current amount in Speranza’s Stash panel. The published level-cost table is a dated guide snapshot, and Frozen Trail changed prices and tiers. Do not spend coins based on an old screenshot.
My Outpost item is clipping or a slot is unselectable
These are version-sensitive issues reported for the furniture system. Try selecting a different slot, moving or removing the blocking object when possible, and reloading the Outpost. Then consult the latest patch notes; the report does not establish that every listed bug remains unresolved.

- After each run, keep irreplaceable weapons and mission-critical items in the general Stash until you have tested an appropriate rack or cabinet.
