Choose an official download or make a PDF of the page

Prefer an official file when it is suitable: it may be a document prepared for download rather than a print rendering of the webpage. The Government of India’s GIGW help information also describes content being made available in PDF and other formats. GIGW Help

Save a webpage as PDF using your browser
- Open the exact page. Navigate to the government page you want to keep. If the relevant information is in a table or a particular section, confirm that it is visible before printing.
- Open the browser’s print command. Use the browser menu or its keyboard shortcut for printing. Menu names and locations vary by browser, operating system, and version.
- Choose a PDF destination. In the print window, select Save as PDF or the equivalent option instead of a physical printer.
- Review print settings. Check page range, orientation, paper size, margins, and scale if those settings are offered. Adjust them if content is clipped or broken across pages.
- Save the file. Choose a folder and a filename that will help you identify the page later.
- Open and inspect the PDF. Confirm that the needed text, tables, and images appear and that page breaks have not made them confusing or incomplete.
- Record context. Keep the original page URL and the date you saved it with the PDF, for example in its filename or a note alongside it.
The GIGW guidelines include the printability checkpoint, “Content of the web page prints correctly on an A4 size paper,” and note that web-page print output is manually evaluated. What a saved PDF does—and does not—preserve
A browser-created PDF is a static snapshot of what was rendered when you saved it. It does not update when the live page changes. Page design and print output can also vary with the browser, device, and website. If the page depends on interactive forms, live results, animation, a login, or changing data, do not assume those elements will work or appear correctly in the PDF; check the particular output.

For current information, revisit the live page or check with the responsible government authority. Keep the webpage available as an alternative when accessibility matters: accessible text or interactions on a site are not necessarily preserved in its PDF.
Keep the page accessible and treat the copy with care
PDF accessibility is not guaranteed. For example, the eFiling Services accessibility statement says that PDFs on that portal are currently not accessible. That warning concerns eFiling Services specifically, not every Indian government PDF; if someone needs an accessible version, look for an accessible alternative or use the live page where possible. eFiling Services Accessibility Statement

Common problems and fixes
- The PDF option is missing. Check the print window’s destination or printer list for a PDF option. Labels and availability depend on the device and browser; the physical printer is not required if a PDF destination is available.
- Text or tables are cut off. Reopen print settings and try a different orientation, paper size, scale, or margins. Save a new copy and inspect it rather than relying on the preview alone.
- Some content is absent. Confirm that the content was visible on the page before printing. If it depends on interaction, login, or live data, the PDF may not include it; use an official download if one contains the needed material, or consult the live page.
- The PDF is hard to use with assistive technology. Check the site for an accessible alternative and keep the live page available when it works better for the reader. Do not assume that a PDF is accessible just because the webpage is.
- You cannot tell whether the saved information is current. Use the saved URL and capture date to locate the source, then check the live page or responsible authority for updates.
Do you need DigiLocker or a PDF reader?
DigiLocker is described as a service for accessing authentic digital documents and storing, sharing, and verifying documents and certificates; the cited service information does not establish it as a way to convert arbitrary webpages to PDF. DigiLocker A PDF reader is for opening or reading a PDF, not a requirement for creating one.
