- Open the webpage in Chrome.
- Open Print with Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or Command+P on Mac.
- In the destination options, select Save as PDF where available.
- Choose a filename and location, then save.

Apply the command to a list
The documented command handles a target URL. To process a list, use a script or other orchestration to run Chrome once per URL and assign a distinct output filename to each result. The documentation does not provide a complete batch loop, so the example below is an illustrative shell pattern rather than an official Chrome script:

The filename conversion replaces many URL characters with underscores; inspect the resulting names for collisions before relying on them for a large list. For a merged PDF, this command alone is not enough: it creates per-URL PDFs, so use a separate PDF-merging tool if a single combined document is required.
When headless automation is a good fit
- You can run commands or maintain a script, and want the same process repeatably.
- You need to control filenames, logs, retries, or where PDFs are stored.
- You are comfortable checking whether each output file exists and whether the page rendered correctly; a command completing does not by itself prove every page’s content is complete.

Only one page was saved
Chrome Print is a one-open-page workflow in the cited Google instructions. Use a URL-list extension or automate the headless command once per URL for a batch.
A URL was skipped or the output is blank
Check that the URL is valid and reachable from the machine running Chrome, then open it in Chrome to see whether it requires sign-in, blocks automation, or fails to load. For headless runs, try an appropriate timeout option and inspect the output file rather than assuming that file creation means successful rendering.

Pages may load images or other content only after scrolling or interaction. Check whether the extension explicitly supports preparing lazy-loaded content, or whether the page requires interaction that a simple print command will not perform.
