Depending on the case, contact options can include email, chat, or a request for a phone callback. Rockstar says support is available 24/7.
The correct destination depends on what is missing and where you bought it. An undelivered or damaged physical item bought from the Rockstar Games Store is handled through Rockstar. A purchase made through PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, Epic, Apple, Google, Nintendo, or another retailer generally must be handled by that storefront instead.

Use Rockstar’s support flow first
Open the official Rockstar Games Support website and select the game or service connected to your problem. Rockstar’s Customer Support article, updated May 20, 2024, describes the process this way: “Select a game or service, then select the relevant category and problem details for the issue type you are experiencing.”

- Select the game or service. Choose the title, online service, or store area that matches the item or account involved.
- Choose the closest category. For example, use a store, order, purchase, missing-content, or account category rather than an unrelated technical topic.
- Select the detailed problem type. Pick the option that most closely describes an undelivered order, damaged product, missing in-game content, or lost progress.
- Read the suggested help article. The site may provide a self-service fix or ask you to verify information before opening a case.
- Sign in and submit a request if needed. Have your Rockstar Games account details and supporting evidence ready. The exact contact method offered depends on the issue and what Rockstar’s support system presents.
Do not open several cases for the same incident unless support tells you to. Multiple tickets can split the evidence and make it harder to follow one investigation.

Identify the type of problem before contacting anyone
The remedy and the correct support channel depend on both the item and the merchant of record. Use this table to classify the case before you submit it.

A receipt can show where the transaction was processed. The seller or platform named on the receipt is usually the merchant of record and is the party that controls a payment refund.
For a missing physical Rockstar Store order
Check the shipping-confirmation email first
Before reporting an order as missing, find Rockstar’s shipping-confirmation email. Rockstar says the message contains a tracking link. An order shipped in multiple boxes can have a different tracking number for each box, so check every number rather than assuming one parcel represents the whole order.
Shipping time depends on the option selected at checkout. Compare the carrier’s estimated window with the date in the confirmation message, and review the latest scan for each package. A parcel can arrive separately from the rest of the order.
Record the delivery evidence
Save the order number, item name, purchase date, shipping address as shown on the order, tracking number or numbers, and the carrier’s current status. If tracking says delivered but you cannot find the package, check the delivery location, household or building staff, and any carrier photo or signature information before opening the case. Keep screenshots or the confirmation email available in case the status changes.
Submit the missing-order request
Use the Rockstar Support category for the Store or order problem and explain whether the shipment has no movement, is past its estimated window, is marked delivered but absent, or arrived with an incomplete quantity. Include one line for each tracking number and state which items are still missing.

Rockstar’s Refunds and Returns FAQ says a physical item purchased through the Rockstar Games Store may be eligible for a refund when the ordered item was not received. Eligibility is determined under the store’s policy; it is not an automatic promise that every late package will be refunded immediately.

For a damaged or defective physical item
Preserve the condition and document the problem
Keep the item, its packaging, labels, inserts, and shipping carton until support tells you what to do. Photograph the outer carton, internal packing, shipping label, product label, and every damaged area. Take clear, well-lit images that show the scale and location of the defect. Do not discard a broken part or alter the item before the support team has reviewed the case.
Describe the condition precisely: for example, a cracked component, torn fabric, missing piece, wrong item, or failure that prevents normal use. Say whether the damage was visible on the packaging, discovered after opening, or noticed during first use. Avoid conclusions about who caused the damage; provide observable facts.
Ask for an exchange or refund
Rockstar’s official Refunds and Returns FAQ says a damaged or defective physical purchase may be exchanged for the same item. If that item is no longer available, a full or partial refund may be available. Contact Rockstar Games Support to request the exchange or refund and follow the instructions it provides for returning the product.
Include the order number, receipt, item name, purchase date, photographs, and a description of the defect in the first message. If only one product in a multi-item order is affected, identify that product and state whether the rest arrived in good condition.

Gather the account identifiers Rockstar asks for
For missing GTA Online characters, cars, rank, items, or apartments, Rockstar asks for the affected Gamertag, PSN ID, or Rockstar Games Nickname. Use the identifier for the account that actually experienced the loss, not merely the email address used to contact support.

If more than one platform is involved, list each relevant platform and identifier. State the game mode, character, and platform clearly so the agent does not investigate the wrong profile.
Write a precise incident timeline
Rockstar’s missing-progress guidance asks for the date and time the problem occurred, a detailed description of what is missing, and how you know it is missing. Give the time zone with the date and time. Explain the last point at which the content was present, what you did immediately before it disappeared, and what you saw when you next loaded the game.
Identify the exact content rather than saying only that progress was lost. For a vehicle, include its name and where it was stored; for rank or currency, give the previous and current values if you know them; for an apartment or item, provide the location or in-game name. If you have screenshots, video, transaction records, or other contemporaneous evidence, mention what each file shows.

Tell support how you checked: for example, which character, garage, inventory, menu, or save state you inspected. Distinguish a missing item from a display or synchronization problem, a changed account, or a purchase that never completed. Do not claim a restoration is guaranteed; the support team must review the account records and facts you provide.
When the purchase was made through another storefront
Rockstar’s chargeback guidance directs customers to the storefront that processed a transaction made through PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, Epic, Apple, Google, Nintendo, or another third party. The same routing applies to refund or warranty claims for products purchased outside Rockstar’s own Stores.

Rockstar can still be the right place for a gameplay or account problem, but the payment processor generally controls the refund decision for its own sale. When contacting the retailer, provide its order or transaction ID rather than substituting a Rockstar case number.

Prepare a complete support request
A concise, evidence-rich first message reduces clarification exchanges. Include only information relevant to the incident and remove passwords, authentication codes, and full payment-card numbers.
Account and platform details
- Rockstar Games account name or email used for the relevant account.
- Gamertag, PSN ID, Rockstar Games Nickname, or another platform identifier requested by the support form.
- Game, service, platform, and region when the form asks for them.
Purchase and order details
- Order number or transaction ID.
- Receipt, item name, purchase date, and merchant of record.
- For a shipment, confirmation email, tracking number for each box, carrier, and current delivery status.
Incident and condition details
- Date and time the problem occurred, including the time zone.
- A short description of what is missing, damaged, defective, or incorrect.
- How you confirmed the problem and what troubleshooting or checks you already completed.
- Photographs of packaging and damage when a physical product is involved.
Use a descriptive subject such as “Order 12345 — package marked delivered but not received” or “GTA Online character missing rank after [date]” rather than “Help.” Put the most important facts in the first paragraph, then list evidence in bullets.
What to do after submitting the request
Keep the case in one thread
Save the case number and the exact message you sent. Reply in the existing thread when support requests information, and attach new evidence there. Opening a new ticket for every reply can separate the chronology from the account being investigated.
Respond to specific requests
Support may ask you to confirm an identifier, clarify the incident time, provide an order document, or follow a return or troubleshooting step. Answer each question directly and label attachments so the agent can match them to the item or event.
Protect your account
Rockstar support should not need your password, one-time authentication code, or complete payment-card number. Redact sensitive financial information from receipts while leaving the order number, date, item, and merchant visible. Use only the official support site and be cautious of unsolicited messages claiming to represent support.

Common situations and the right next step
Only one box from a multi-box shipment arrived
Check the confirmation email for the other tracking number and its latest scan. Report the specific missing box and its contents, not the entire order, unless every package is absent.
The carrier says delivered, but the package is not there
Verify the delivery address, building reception area, household members, and carrier delivery notes. If it remains missing, submit the tracking record and delivery date to Rockstar Support and state that the carrier marks it delivered but you did not receive it.
The product is damaged but the carton looks normal
Photograph the product, labels, and internal packaging, then request a review as a defective or damaged item. Keep all materials until Rockstar gives return instructions.
The item is no longer listed in the Store
Do not assume that an exchange is impossible. Rockstar’s policy says an unavailable damaged item may qualify for a full or partial refund; ask support to confirm the available remedy for your order.

State every platform and identifier and explain exactly where the item was last visible. This helps distinguish an account-selection or synchronization issue from a confirmed loss.
The payment was made in an app or console store
Take the receipt to that storefront for the payment dispute or refund. Contact Rockstar separately only if you also need help with game behavior or account content.
How to write the message
A useful request can be short while still complete. Use this order:
- State the requested outcome: investigation of a missing shipment, exchange for a damaged item, refund review, or investigation of missing game content.
- Identify the account, order, platform, or transaction.
- Give the incident date and time or the shipping timeline.
- Describe what you expected, what happened, and how you verified it.
- List the attached evidence and any tracking numbers.
For example, a shipment report should say which item was ordered, when it shipped, how many packages the confirmation lists, which package is missing, and what the carrier currently reports. An in-game report should name the account identifier, character or profile, exact missing content, incident time, and the checks you performed.
Refund and replacement boundaries
Rockstar’s Store policy distinguishes between a shipment that was not received and a product that arrived damaged or defective. A not-received physical item may qualify for a refund. A damaged or defective item may qualify for an exchange for the same item; if that item is unavailable, a full or partial refund may be available. These are policy-based possibilities that require a support review, not automatic outcomes.
For transactions completed by another storefront, the seller that charged you controls that transaction’s refund, chargeback, and warranty process. Start with the merchant named on your receipt so the request reaches the party able to act.
