Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallYes—you can connect Galaxy Buds2 Pro directly to a Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, Switch OLED, or Nintendo Switch 2. Pairing uses the console’s built-in Bluetooth Audio menu; the Galaxy Wearable app is not required. The connection carries game sound only: Nintendo does not support Bluetooth microphone input, warns that latency may occur, limits active wireless controllers to two, and can disconnect Bluetooth audio during local wireless communication.
Before you pair
- Charge the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and their case.
- Update the console to its latest available system software. Nintendo recommends updating before pairing.
- Disconnect the earbuds from phones, tablets, computers, and televisions. Temporarily turning Bluetooth off on a nearby phone prevents it from taking the connection.
- Keep no more than two wireless controllers connected while Bluetooth audio is active.
- End any local wireless session before pairing.
Nintendo documents Bluetooth Audio support for the original Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED. Nintendo Switch 2 has a separate but similar Bluetooth Audio menu. Nintendo does not publish a model-by-model certification list for Galaxy Buds2 Pro; the earbuds use standard Bluetooth audio pairing.
Put Galaxy Buds2 Pro into pairing mode
Use Samsung’s Buds2 Pro procedure—not the case-button method used by some newer Galaxy Buds models.
- Place both earbuds in their correct slots in the charging case.
- Close the lid, then open it again.
- Leave both earbuds inside the open case.
- Touch and hold both earbuds’ touchpads at the same time for about three seconds.
- Wait for the case lights to flash, indicating pairing mode.
Samsung’s instructions are available at its Buds pairing guide. If the earbuds reconnect immediately to a phone, disconnect them there or switch that phone’s Bluetooth off temporarily.

Reconnect, disconnect, or remove the earbuds
For a saved pair on the original Switch family, open System Settings → Bluetooth Audio, select the saved Buds2 Pro entry, and choose Connect Device. To stop using them, select Disconnect Device. If the saved entry repeatedly fails, choose Remove Device and pair again as a new device. Switch 2 provides the same Bluetooth Audio device-management workflow.
What works—and what does not
| Feature | Direct Bluetooth connection |
|---|---|
| Game and system audio | Yes |
| Galaxy Wearable app on the console | No app is available or required |
| Buds2 Pro microphone for Switch Bluetooth audio | No; Nintendo does not support Bluetooth microphones |

| Samsung-only features | Not guaranteed; app- and device-dependent |
Samsung confirms that the Buds can play audio over Bluetooth with devices that do not support Galaxy Wearable. However, configure features such as ANC or Ambient Sound on a compatible phone first if you need a particular setting. Do not assume Samsung Seamless Codec, 24-bit audio, 360 Audio, Auto Switch, or every touch-control behavior will operate on the Switch connection. A nearby phone may also reclaim the earbuds automatically.

Understand the multiplayer and latency limits
Microphone and voice chat
The Buds2 Pro microphones should not be treated as a Nintendo Switch voice-chat solution. Nintendo explicitly excludes Bluetooth microphone use. Use a supported wired or dedicated gaming setup if voice input is essential.
Wireless controllers
Bluetooth audio leaves room for no more than two wireless controllers. A pair of Joy-Con controllers counts as two, so adding a Pro Controller or another wireless controller can exceed the limit.

Local versus online multiplayer
Nintendo says Bluetooth audio disconnects when local wireless communication begins. That is different from ordinary online multiplayer over Wi-Fi, which is not described by Nintendo as automatically prohibited. Plan on wired audio or another arrangement for local wireless sessions.
Latency
Nintendo warns that Bluetooth audio latency may occur. There is no official universal millisecond figure for Buds2 Pro on Switch. Test a timing-sensitive game; if sound consistently feels late, consider wired audio or a transmitter rather than assuming a different console setting will eliminate the delay.

Troubleshoot pairing and sound problems
The Buds2 Pro do not appear
- Reseat both earbuds in the case, close and reopen the lid, and hold both touchpads for about three seconds.
- Turn off Bluetooth on the phone or tablet that normally connects to the Buds.
- Confirm the case and earbuds are charged.
- Restart and update the console.
- Return to System Settings → Bluetooth Audio → Pair Device.
- Move the open case close to the console and reduce obstructions or nearby electronics.
- Disconnect extra wireless controllers so no more than two remain.
These checks follow Nintendo’s Bluetooth pairing troubleshooting.
The earbuds are saved but will not reconnect
- Make sure another nearby device is not connected to the Buds.
- Place the earbuds in the case, reopen it, and restart the console.
- Open System Settings → Bluetooth Audio, select the saved Buds2 Pro entry, and choose Connect Device.
- If it still fails, remove the saved device and pair again.
Nintendo describes this remove-and-repair process in its saved-device support guidance.
Audio comes from the wrong device or there is no sound
- Disconnect the Buds from phones, tablets, and computers.
- Confirm the console lists them as connected, not merely saved.
- Reconnect from the Bluetooth Audio menu.
- Raise volume on both the console and earbuds.
Sound drops out
- Move the earbuds closer and remove practical obstructions.
- Check whether local wireless communication has started.
- Stay within the two-controller limit.
- Restart and update both the console and earbuds.
- Check that a nearby phone has not taken the connection.
Should you use a Bluetooth transmitter?
Try native pairing first: it costs nothing and is sufficient for solo game audio when the latency and controller limits are acceptable. A USB-C transmitter is reasonable when direct pairing is unreliable, delay is distracting, or you want one accessory for several consoles. It cannot guarantee zero latency, restore Nintendo Bluetooth microphone support, or make every Samsung feature available.
Example: Creative BT-W6
Creative lists the BT-W6 as supporting Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, USB-C handheld use, Bluetooth 5.4, Classic Bluetooth, and LE Audio. Its official page lists Switch OS 5.0 or later and Switch 2 OS 20.2.0 or later for the stated platform support. The exact BT-W6-to-Galaxy-Buds2-Pro combination is not established on Creative’s product page, so verify compatibility before buying. It adds another device to charge, may require checking the correct Bluetooth mode, and a USB-A-to-C adapter is not included according to the specifications. Current price and stock are time-sensitive; check Creative’s official product page before purchase. Pairing controls and mode switching are documented at Creative Support.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →When wired or dedicated gaming audio is better
- Wired earbuds or headphones: choose these for the most predictable timing, no pairing, and long sessions without Bluetooth battery management.
- Dedicated gaming headset: choose one when a microphone, regular voice chat, or gaming-focused low-latency behavior matters more than pocketability.
Neither option is required for ordinary Switch game audio if the direct Buds2 Pro connection works acceptably.
