To monitor a website with Browse AI and route changes through Zapier, first create and approve a Browse AI robot, configure its monitor, then connect Browse AI to Zapier and map the trigger’s tested output to a destination app. You can start the Zap from either Browse AI’s robot dashboard or Zapier; the available trigger events depend on the integration.
What you need before connecting Browse AI and Zapier
- A Browse AI account with at least one approved robot.
- A Zapier account. Browse AI’s connection guide says it can be free or paid; it does not specify that a paid Zapier plan is required.
- The destination app or service for the data or notification, such as a spreadsheet, CRM, or Slack.
These prerequisites are from Browse AI’s March 21, 2025 connection guide. The exact interface and available events can change, so check the live integration when configuring your Zap.

Set up the website monitor in Browse AI
Monitoring belongs to the Browse AI robot. Train it to capture the fields you want to track, then add a monitor while creating the robot or from the Monitor tab of an already approved robot.

- Open the robot you want to use, or create and train a robot to capture the relevant page data.
- Open its Monitor tab, or configure a monitor during robot creation.
- Choose the monitoring preferences: the guide lists hourly, daily, weekly, or minute frequency, days of the week, a time and time zone, and the origin URL.
- Save the monitor to activate it.
Those are options described in Browse AI’s December 5, 2025 monitoring guide. Confirm the current labels and availability in your account. Choose a cadence that matches how quickly you need updates; a more frequent schedule means the robot checks more often.

Connect the Browse AI trigger to a Zap
Browse AI documents two ways to begin. Either route leads to Zapier’s guided setup.
Start from Browse AI
- Open the Browse AI dashboard and select the robot.
- Choose its Integrate tab.
- Select the Zapier tile, then choose a suggested template or search for the app you want to connect.
Start from Zapier
- Open Browse AI’s Zapier integration page: Browse AI integrations.
- Choose an app or template and follow Zapier’s guided setup to create the Zap.
Choose and test the trigger
Select the Browse AI robot and an available trigger event. Browse AI’s connection guide lists these events:

- Task completion (success or error) — use this when either outcome should start the next step.
- Successful task completion only — use this when downstream steps should receive successful runs only.
- Failed task completion only — use this when the workflow is intended to handle failures.
Not every event is available in every integration. Run Zapier’s trigger test before adding or mapping downstream actions. The test supplies sample output fields that you can select in later steps; without a successful test, the fields you expect may not be available.

- In Zapier, add the destination app or service as the next step in the Zap.
- Choose the action that fits the workflow, such as creating or updating a spreadsheet row, sending a Slack message, or adding a lead to a CRM.
- Map each destination field to the corresponding value returned by the tested Browse AI trigger. For example, map extracted page fields to spreadsheet columns, or the changed values to the message content.
- Test the destination action, then turn on the Zap when the test produces the expected result.
Field names and returned values depend on the robot and trigger. Use the tested trigger sample as the source of truth rather than assuming every robot returns the same fields.

Choose a workflow pattern without creating a loop
Send changed data to another app
For price or content tracking, use the monitor-change trigger and send the relevant changed values to a spreadsheet or notification step. For leads, route extracted fields to a CRM. Browse AI’s connection guide also describes sending change notifications to Slack.
Start extraction after another app event
A Zap can also pass an event from another app into a Browse AI task, where that option is available. This is useful when extraction should follow an event rather than run only on a monitor schedule.

Use two robots for deeper scraping
One documented pattern is to have Robot A find page URLs, pass each URL through Zapier, and have Robot B extract details from those pages. Ensure the trigger and actions do not allow a robot to start itself repeatedly: Browse AI explicitly warns that robots triggering themselves can create infinite loops.

Troubleshooting a Browse AI–Zapier connection
- Browse AI does not appear connected: In Zapier, check the connected Browse AI account and reconnect it if needed.
- The trigger test has no useful sample: Confirm the robot has completed at least one successful run, then test the selected trigger again.
- Expected fields are missing or blank downstream: Recheck the action’s field mappings against the latest tested trigger output. Make sure each destination field is mapped to the intended returned value.
- The Zap stops at an error: Review Zapier’s task history to identify the failing step, then correct its connection, required fields, or input values and test again.
- The Zap does not run for the event you expected: Confirm the selected trigger is available for that integration and that the monitor or task is producing the event you intend to catch.
- Robots keep starting each other: Inspect trigger-to-action paths and remove any path that lets a robot trigger itself in an unbounded cycle.
