Connect Bose earbuds through Samsung Bluetooth settings
- Charge and bring the earbuds near your phone. They need enough charge to power on; no universal pairing distance is specified.
- Put the earbuds in pairing mode. Follow the instructions for your exact Bose model. For QuietComfort Earbuds sold from 2024, touch and hold either earbud for four seconds, until you hear “Ready to pair.” Bose’s pairing instructions describe this gesture for that model only.
- Open Bluetooth settings on the Galaxy phone. Go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth on if it is off. Wait for the Bose product name to appear under available devices. - Select the Bose earbuds. Tap their name and approve the pairing prompt if one appears. Samsung says some Bluetooth devices may request a PIN; a PIN is not necessarily expected for Bose earbuds.
- Check the connection. Play a little audio. If you want additional Bose features, open the Bose app and follow its setup for your product after Bluetooth pairing.
Can you use Android Fast Pair?

- Put both earbuds in the open charging case.
- Hold the case button until the earbuds’ status light slowly blinks blue.
- Place the case near the Android phone and tap the Fast Pair notification.
If no notification appears, Bose advises checking whether Google Play Services notifications are enabled. You can also use the Bluetooth settings steps above: make the earbuds discoverable, then select them from the available-device list.

Do you need the Bose app?
No. You can pair Bose earbuds for basic Bluetooth audio directly in Samsung’s Bluetooth settings. The Bose app is an optional companion for setup and extra controls on supported products; available features depend on the model. Why don’t my Bose earbuds appear in Bluetooth?
They may not be in pairing mode

A previous pairing may be interfering
If the earbuds connected to this phone before but will not reconnect now, remove the saved Bose connection from the phone’s Bluetooth settings, then put the earbuds back into pairing mode and pair them again. The exact menu labels can vary by Galaxy model and software version.

The phone connects, but audio or calls do not work as expected
Open the connected Bose device’s Bluetooth settings on the phone and check its available audio and call options or permissions. Samsung notes that Bluetooth permissions can affect functions such as calls; the controls vary by software version. Samsung’s Bluetooth connection guide
Pairing still fails
- Restart the phone and earbuds, then try pairing again.
