The Bose Smart Soundbar 700 supports Bluetooth audio, but app discovery is not the same as pairing a phone for playback. Bose’s available setup and troubleshooting pages do not establish the exact button sequence for Bluetooth pairing or the device name that appears in a phone’s Bluetooth list, so those details should be confirmed in the Soundbar 700 manual rather than guessed.
Does the Bose Soundbar 700 support Bluetooth audio?
Yes. Bose lists Bluetooth audio capability for the Smart Soundbar 700, with Bluetooth 4.2, the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), and a stated range of 30 ft (10 m). Bluetooth discovery in the Bose app is not audio pairing
Bose requires Bluetooth to be enabled on a mobile device when using the Bose app for setup and nearby product discovery. The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy for that discovery. This does not, by itself, mean the phone has completed a Bluetooth audio connection to the soundbar. Follow Bose’s Soundbar 700 setup instructions for app setup, and treat audio pairing as a separate task.

How to pair a device with the Soundbar 700
Bose’s available Soundbar 700 setup, specification, and troubleshooting pages establish Bluetooth audio support, but do not give the model-specific pairing-mode button sequence or confirm the name shown in a device’s Bluetooth menu. To avoid using instructions for a different Bose model, consult the Soundbar 700’s matching manual for those exact steps. Do not infer that app discovery completes audio pairing.
If Bluetooth audio does not play
If a device appears connected but you hear no sound, check that the soundbar is set to the Bluetooth source. Bose’s model-specific no-audio guidance recommends selecting another source, such as a Bluetooth device, with the remote or Bose app when checking playback from other sources. If the Bluetooth source is not available or selecting it does not resolve the issue, use the matching manual or Bose support instructions for the pairing steps. The cited Soundbar 700 guidance does not establish steps such as clearing saved pairings or resetting the speaker, so do not assume those are required.
