You can connect a compatible USB or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to a PS5, and pair a DualSense controller by USB before using it wirelessly. That solves the console-level connection, not the browser-gaming premise: PlayStation’s official FAQ says the PS5 has no dedicated web-browser app, and its accessory instructions do not promise that a browser game will accept keyboard, mouse, or controller input.
Use the steps below to pair and test your accessories correctly, then treat any browser reached through another feature as unsupported unless the game and PlayStation explicitly document compatibility.

What the PS5 supports—and what it does not promise
PS5 system software supports console-level connections for USB and Bluetooth keyboards and mice. You can change keyboard language and key-repeat behavior, and you can set mouse handedness and pointer speed. A DualSense controller is initially paired with a USB cable and can then be used wirelessly after it has enough charge.
Those capabilities describe accessories working with the console interface and supported software. They are not a guarantee that a website or browser game will read the same device. PlayStation’s PS5: The Ultimate FAQ answers the question “Does PS5 feature a web browser?” with: “No, the PS5 system doesn’t include a dedicated web browser app.” Because there is no standard browser application documented for PS5, there is no officially documented browser-game setup to follow.

The practical answer is therefore conditional: connect the device using the supported steps, but do not assume that a successful pairing makes browser games playable. A device appearing in the Bluetooth scan is not proof that it is supported. PlayStation Support states, “Not all devices work with your console.”
Choose a connection method

USB is the simplest first test because it avoids Bluetooth discovery and pairing state. Bluetooth is useful when you want a cable-free setup, but compatibility varies by device. The DualSense procedure is separate from keyboard and mouse pairing.
Before you connect anything
- Use a keyboard or mouse whose manufacturer lists PS5 support when possible. Console compatibility cannot be inferred solely from a device appearing in the Bluetooth list.
- For a USB connection, have a working cable and an available PS5 USB port. A wireless keyboard or mouse that uses a proprietary receiver is not automatically the same as a Bluetooth device; follow that device’s documentation.
- For Bluetooth, put the accessory into its pairing mode according to its manual before opening the PS5 Bluetooth screen.
- For a DualSense, use a USB cable capable of carrying data for the initial pairing, then allow the controller to charge before disconnecting it.
- Decide what you are testing. A device responding in menus confirms a console connection; it does not establish that an online page or game accepts the device.
How to connect a USB keyboard or mouse
Connect a USB keyboard
- Turn on the PS5 and connect the keyboard directly to a PS5 USB port.
- Press keys in a text-entry field or navigate the console interface to confirm that the keyboard is detected.
- Open Settings > Accessories > Other Accessories to review the available keyboard options.
- Set the keyboard language if the layout does not match the printed keycaps.
- Adjust the key-repeat delay and key-repeat rate if holding a key produces characters too slowly or too quickly.
The available settings change how the PS5 interprets the keyboard; they do not add a browser application or create browser-game support.

Connect a USB mouse
- Connect the mouse directly to a PS5 USB port.
- Move the mouse and use a menu that displays a pointer or selectable controls to check the connection.
- Open Settings > Accessories > Other Accessories.
- Choose the handedness setting that matches how you use the mouse.
- Set pointer speed to a comfortable level and test it again in the console interface.
If your keyboard and mouse both use USB, connect them one at a time while testing. That makes it clear which device is responsible if one is not recognized.
How to pair a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse
Put the accessory into pairing mode
Start with the keyboard or mouse itself. Follow its manual to activate Bluetooth pairing mode. Some devices require holding a pairing key; others use a switch or a dedicated button. The PS5 cannot discover a device that is only powered on but not advertising for pairing.
Use the PS5 Bluetooth menu
- On the PS5 home screen, open Settings.
- Select Accessories.
- Choose General.
- Open Bluetooth Accessories.
- Wait for the keyboard or mouse to appear in the discovered-device list.
- Select the device and complete any confirmation shown on screen.
- Check that it appears under Registered accessories as connected.
PlayStation also exposes Accessories in the control center, which can be convenient after setup. The full Settings path is the one to use when you need to inspect or change the registration.

Reconnect a registered device
If the accessory was paired previously but does not reconnect, open Settings > Accessories > General > Bluetooth Accessories. Find it under Registered accessories, select it, and choose Connect. Keep the device powered on and in range while you do this.
Interpret a failed or misleading discovery
A name in the discovered list means only that the PS5 can see a Bluetooth signal. PlayStation Support warns that devices that are not compatible may still appear there and emphasizes, “Not all devices work with your console.” If selection fails, the device disconnects immediately, or it registers but does not respond in the interface, consult the device documentation and try a USB connection if one is available. Do not treat repeated scans as proof of compatibility.
How to pair a DualSense controller
First pairing
- Turn on the PS5.
- Connect the DualSense controller to the console with a USB cable.
- Press the PS button on the controller.
- Wait for the console to recognize it and allow the controller to charge.
After the controller has enough battery, disconnect the USB cable. The controller can then be used wirelessly in the normal PS5 way.

What this procedure does not establish
This is the standard PS5 controller-pairing process. The PlayStation instructions do not state that a DualSense will control a browser game, nor do they describe a dedicated browser on PS5. A controller working in the home screen or a supported game is therefore evidence of controller pairing only.
How to verify the connection without assuming browser support
- Test the keyboard by entering text or moving through a console field. Check that the language and repeat settings behave as expected.
- Test the mouse in a PS5 screen that exposes pointer movement, then adjust handedness and pointer speed if necessary.
- Test the DualSense with the PS button and ordinary console navigation after removing the USB cable.
- For Bluetooth devices, return to the Registered accessories list and confirm the expected connected state.
- Record the result as either “recognized by PS5” or “accepted by a particular game.” Those are different outcomes; the first does not prove the second.
This separation matters most for browser gaming. The official peripheral page documents pairing and menu settings, while the official FAQ documents the absence of a dedicated browser app. Neither source specifies browser-game input behavior.

Can you play browser games on PS5?
Not through a standard, officially documented PS5 browser workflow. PlayStation says the PS5 system does not include a dedicated web browser app. Some console features may display web content, but the existence of a web view is not the same as a supported browser application, and the official material does not establish that keyboard, mouse, or DualSense input will be delivered to a browser game.

For that reason, avoid guides that promise a hidden browser route or imply that pairing an accessory unlocks web games. A peripheral can be correctly connected and still have no usable target because the PS5 has no documented browser-game environment. If you are evaluating a particular game, look for explicit support from the game publisher and PlayStation for that title and platform rather than relying on the accessory’s connection status.

Use USB when you need the fastest diagnostic path or when Bluetooth pairing is unreliable. Use Bluetooth when your device is confirmed compatible and you prefer a cable-free desk. Neither method changes the PS5 browser limitation.
Troubleshooting by symptom
The keyboard or mouse does not appear to work over USB
- Disconnect and reconnect it firmly, then test another PS5 USB port.
- Try the device by itself, without another accessory connected, to isolate the problem.
- Open Settings > Accessories > Other Accessories and check whether the relevant settings are available.
- Consult the manufacturer’s documentation for PS5 compatibility. A device designed for a computer is not automatically supported by the console.
The Bluetooth device is not listed
- Put the accessory into its documented pairing mode; being powered on is not always enough.
- Move it close to the PS5 and temporarily turn off Bluetooth on nearby devices that might reconnect to it first.
- Return to Settings > Accessories > General > Bluetooth Accessories and scan again.
- If it still does not appear, use USB if the device supports it or check the manufacturer’s compatibility information.
The device appears but cannot connect
- Select it from the discovered list again and complete the on-screen confirmation.
- If it was previously registered, select it under Registered accessories and choose Connect.
- Remove the device from pairing mode and restart the accessory according to its manual, then retry.
- Remember that PlayStation says incompatible devices may appear in the list; discovery alone cannot resolve this symptom.
The device connects, then stops responding
- Check the accessory’s battery or power switch.
- Keep the device within normal wireless range and prevent it from automatically reconnecting to another host.
- Reconnect it from the Registered accessories list.
- Try a direct USB connection to distinguish a Bluetooth problem from a broader compatibility problem.
The keyboard layout or repeat behavior feels wrong
- Open Settings > Accessories > Other Accessories.
- Set the keyboard language to match the physical layout.
- Adjust key-repeat delay and rate, then test in a text-entry field.
The mouse buttons or movement feel wrong
- Open Settings > Accessories > Other Accessories.
- Change handedness if the primary and secondary buttons are reversed.
- Adjust pointer speed and test in a screen that supports pointer movement.
The DualSense works only while connected by cable
- Leave it connected long enough to build a charge.
- Press the PS button while it remains connected so the console completes pairing.
- Disconnect the cable and press the PS button again.
- If wireless use still fails, reconnect by USB and repeat the ordinary pairing procedure.
These steps address the controller’s PS5 connection. They do not change whether a browser game can receive controller input.
A practical setup checklist
- Confirm whether you need a keyboard, mouse, DualSense, or a combination.
- Prefer a manufacturer-confirmed PS5-compatible accessory.
- Start with USB when diagnosing a new keyboard or mouse.
- For Bluetooth, pair from Settings > Accessories > General > Bluetooth Accessories and verify the Registered accessories state.
- Configure keyboard language, key-repeat delay, key-repeat rate, mouse handedness, and pointer speed under Settings > Accessories > Other Accessories.
- Pair a DualSense by USB and press the PS button before attempting wireless use.
- Test each device in the PS5 interface before evaluating a game.
- Keep expectations realistic: accessory pairing is not evidence of a supported PS5 browser or browser-game input path.
The bottom line for browser gaming
PS5 supports compatible USB and Bluetooth keyboards and mice, and it supports the normal USB-first DualSense pairing process. Those are useful for the console interface and for software that explicitly supports the devices. PlayStation’s official FAQ, however, says there is no dedicated PS5 web browser app, and its support pages do not document browser-game input. Connect and configure your accessories using the paths above, but do not buy or pair one on the assumption that it will make browser games playable on PS5.
