Put the speaker in pairing mode, open Bluetooth settings on your phone, computer, or compatible TV, and select the speaker when it appears. The speaker’s exact pairing control depends on its model; if you cannot identify it, check the speaker manual.
Before you start
- Charge the speaker and keep it near the device you want to connect.
- Use the speaker’s Bluetooth or pairing control to make it discoverable. The button or press-and-hold action varies by model.
- Turn on Bluetooth on the phone or computer, then choose the speaker by name from the available-device list.
- If the device asks for a PIN, follow the speaker’s instructions.
Connect a Bluetooth speaker to an iPhone
- Put the speaker in pairing mode.
- On the iPhone, open Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth on.
- Tap the speaker’s name when it appears.
- Play audio. If sound still comes from the phone, choose the speaker as the playback destination from Now Playing, the Lock Screen, or Control Center.
Apple advises keeping the iPhone within about 33 feet (10 meters) while pairing. If the accessory moves out of Bluetooth range, playback may return to the iPhone. Apple’s iPhone Bluetooth pairing guide and audio playback instructions explain these steps.

Connect a Bluetooth speaker to an Android phone
- Put the speaker in pairing mode.
- Open Bluetooth settings on the phone and turn Bluetooth on.
- Choose the speaker from the available devices. Confirm any prompt if one appears.
Android menu names and locations vary by phone maker and software version, so use the phone maker’s help page if you need the exact path. If the speaker does not appear, check that it is discoverable and not already connected to another device.
Connect a Bluetooth speaker to a Windows laptop
- Check that the laptop has Bluetooth. Turn it on in Settings > Bluetooth & devices or Quick Settings.
- Put the speaker in pairing mode and keep it nearby.
- Open the Bluetooth device list, choose the speaker under new devices, and follow any prompts.
- If it connects but sound still comes from the laptop, open Windows sound settings and select the speaker as the output device.
Microsoft’s pairing instructions cover Windows 11 and Windows 10. Windows 10 support ended on October 14, 2025; that does not change the basic pairing steps, but it does affect operating-system support.

Connect a Bluetooth speaker to a Mac
- Turn on Bluetooth from Control Center or System Settings.
- Put the speaker in pairing mode and keep it near the Mac.
- Open System Settings > Bluetooth.
- Choose the speaker under Nearby Devices and click Connect. If it is already paired, it may reconnect automatically; otherwise select it under My Devices.

Connect a Bluetooth speaker to a TV
Check the manual or support page for your exact TV model before trying to pair. Bluetooth audio output is not available on every television, including some models in the same brand’s lineup. On a compatible TV, put the speaker in pairing mode, open the TV’s Bluetooth audio-device list, and select the speaker. Samsung’s instructions describe this process for supported TVs; Sony notes that Bluetooth headphone or speaker support varies among its Android TV and Google TV models.

If the TV does not support Bluetooth audio
Check which audio outputs the TV supports. Depending on the television and speaker, alternatives may include a wired optical or HDMI ARC connection, or Wi-Fi audio. A Bluetooth audio transmitter may work in some setups, but confirm that the TV’s output port and the transmitter are compatible with the speaker before buying one. These options are not universal, and support pages do not establish a single adapter that works with every TV and speaker.

The speaker does not appear in the device list
- Check that the speaker is in pairing mode. The required button or hold time is model-specific.
- Move the speaker closer to the phone, computer, or TV.
- Check whether it is already connected to another source device; disconnect it there before trying again.
- Confirm Bluetooth is on at the source device.
The speaker appears but will not connect
- Charge the speaker, then power-cycle it and try again.
- On the phone or computer, remove or forget the speaker and pair it again.
- If the speaker connects to other devices but not an iPhone or iPad, Apple recommends unpairing it from those other devices before retrying.
- On Windows, toggle Bluetooth off and on, move the speaker closer, and check its battery. Windows 11 also includes an automated Bluetooth troubleshooter.

The speaker connects, but there is no sound
- Select the speaker as the active audio output or playback destination on the phone or computer.
- Check the volume on both the source device and the speaker.
- On iPhone, choose the Bluetooth accessory from Now Playing, the Lock Screen, or Control Center.
The TV cannot find the speaker
Confirm that the exact TV model supports Bluetooth audio output before repeating the pairing steps. A pairing menu on one model or TV family does not mean every model supports the feature.

- TV output: Does the television have the optical, HDMI ARC, or other output the method requires?
- Speaker compatibility: Can the speaker accept that connection, directly or through a compatible device?
- Other audio outputs: Will the TV still play through its own speakers or another output at the same time, if you need that?
- Audio delay: For video, check whether the connection introduces a delay that makes dialogue feel out of sync. Compatibility and latency depend on the specific TV, speaker, and any transmitter; the cited support guidance does not certify individual adapters or compare their delay.
