Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteIf a Forza Horizon 6 Treasure Hunt clue or chest action is not registering, start with the hunt currently listed in the Festival Playlist, follow that hunt’s clue and route, and smash its chest. Don’t rely on an old guide’s location. If the active Playlist entry still shows incomplete, check for the latest game update and report the specific failure in the official Forza Feedback Portal under Gameplay Bugs. A June 15, 2026 update included Festival Playlist challenge-completion fixes, but that does not establish a universal fix for every Treasure Hunt problem.
First confirm which activity is failing
Check the current Festival Playlist and identify its Treasure Hunt entry. A third-party explainer distinguishes Playlist Treasure Hunts from permanent Treasure Cars and the paid Treasure Map add-on; those similarly named activities are not interchangeable. The explainer says the map reveals collectible locations rather than completing a weekly Playlist hunt, but that distinction is not an official guarantee. Start troubleshooting from the exact item shown in your game.

Use the active clue, not a past hunt’s location
Open the active Playlist hunt and use its clue and hunt name to work out where to go. Dated guides illustrate how hunt-specific the route can be: one Ohtani example describes a photo clue leading to a chest, while a Tokyo City example describes ramps and rooftop jumps to reach its chest. These are examples from past hunts, not directions or locations for the current one.

Reach and smash the chest
In the Ohtani and Tokyo City examples, the challenge completed by crashing into or smashing the treasure chest. If you have found the area but the Playlist is still incomplete, make sure you have actually reached the chest and made contact with it; getting near a location or map marker is not the same as completing the chest action. Some routes may require an indirect approach, as the Tokyo City rooftop example shows.
If the chest breaks but the Playlist stays incomplete
Check the game’s update state
Playground Games’ June 15, 2026 Series 2 announcement says that update included fixes for Festival Playlist challenge completion. It was rolling out on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via the Xbox app and Steam. The announcement does not show that every current Treasure Hunt registration failure has the same cause or that this update resolves all such failures. Check the current update state for your platform through the game’s official support or update channel.

Report a persistent failure
Use the Forza Feedback Portal’s FH6 Gameplay Bugs category to report the issue and search for an existing topic. Playground Games describes the portal as the route for raising bugs and having them reviewed by the appropriate people. Its May 6, 2026 portal announcement says: “Using the Portal is the only way to guarantee that raised issues are being reviewed by the right people, so we encourage you to get started in the Portal today.”

Describe the failure stage clearly
When asking for help or filing a bug report, state which of these happened:
- The Treasure Hunt entry is not present in the current Playlist.
- You can see the entry but have not found or reached its chest.
- You contacted or smashed the chest, but the Playlist still shows the challenge as incomplete.
This is a practical way to report what you observed, not an official list of known causes. Available sources do not establish a universal restart, cache, or network workaround, or explain every reason a clue or completion might fail.
