Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesTo complete a Fortnite collaboration quest, launch Fortnite, choose the experience you intend to play, open Quests from the lobby, and select the collaboration or character-specific category when it appears. Read the quest card for its required mode, action count, progress threshold, prerequisites and expiration date, then play that experience until the milestone is recorded. Return to the quest or reward screen to confirm the item, XP or other reward was granted.
That is the practical answer to the search-style question “How to complete Fortnite quests,” but collaboration content is not one permanent quest list. Fortnite shows different quests for different experiences, and shop listings, deadlines and reward conditions can change. Use the live Quests tab and the current in-game listing as the authority for the collaboration you are pursuing.

Where collaboration quests appear
From the Fortnite lobby, open Quests. The list is filtered by the experience you have selected, so a quest visible in one mode may not appear when another experience is active. Look for a named collaboration, character, Sidekick or other category rather than assuming every event uses the same tab or objective.
Epic Games Support describes the basic flow as playing Fortnite to complete the quests displayed for your selected experience. Its general instructions explain navigation, not a permanent catalog of every collaboration. A seasonal event can be replaced, a shop offer can expire, and a completed set can disappear from the interface.

Use the selected experience as your first filter
Before starting a match, check which experience is selected in the lobby. If the quest card specifies a mode or experience, play that one. For a Quest Pack whose rules permit any Fortnite experience, you still need to select the pack and inspect its progress screen; do not assume that permission applies to every collaboration quest.
Look for a specific category
When a category such as a collaboration name, character name or Sidekicks is shown, open it and read the individual cards. Epic’s Sidekick instructions direct players to open the Quests tab and select Sidekicks. A fully completed Sidekick quest set may no longer remain visible, so disappearance after completion is not by itself proof that progress was lost.
What to check before you play
| Quest detail | What to verify on the card | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Experience or mode | The selected Fortnite experience and any mode named in the objective | Quest lists and eligible progress can differ by experience. |
| Objective | The exact action, count or threshold shown in the text | Similar-looking activities may not satisfy the stated requirement. |
| Reward | Whether the milestone grants XP, a level-up, a cosmetic item or a pack-specific reward | Epic says each quest has a reward, usually XP, level-ups or cosmetic items. |
| Prerequisite | A required level, previously claimed reward or earlier quest stage | Some rewards stay locked until the prerequisite is met. |
| Deadline | The event, shop or quest expiration shown in the live listing | Collaboration content is time-sensitive and may not return immediately. |
These five checks also make collaborations easier to compare. Two quests can use the same character while differing in eligible experience, progress threshold, reward type, prerequisite or deadline. Write those details down before queuing, especially when a shop purchase and a quest set are linked.
Step-by-step: complete a collaboration quest
- Launch Fortnite. Sign in and wait for the lobby to load. The quest list is tied to the account and the experience selected there.
- Select the experience you plan to play. If the quest card names a particular experience or mode, select that before entering a match. A different mode can show a different list or fail to award progress.
- Open Quests from the lobby. Review every visible category instead of relying on a remembered event location. Collaboration quests may be grouped under a character, Sidekick or event heading.
- Open the collaboration category. For a Sidekick set, select Sidekicks. If no matching category appears, check the selected experience and the live shop or event status; do not substitute an unrelated quest.
- Read the complete objective. Note the action to perform, required number of repetitions, progress threshold, eligible mode, prerequisite and expiration date. The general quest screen does not establish universal rules for all collaborations, so the wording on the individual card controls.
- Enter the eligible experience and play toward the milestone. Keep the Quests tab available between matches so you can verify that the counter changes. For a requirement tied to a specific mode, progress earned elsewhere should not be treated as complete until the card confirms it.
- Reopen the quest card after the attempt. Confirm that the counter reached the required value or that the stage changed to complete. A finished match is not the same as a completed quest if the card has not recorded the qualifying action.
- Claim or verify the reward. Some screens show an explicit claim state; others display the reward after the completion milestone. Check the quest and reward screens before leaving the lobby.
- Repeat for the next stage. Multi-stage sets can expose another objective only after the earlier one is completed. Read the newly unlocked card rather than repeating the previous action automatically.
How to interpret requirements without wasting matches
Mode and experience wording
“Fortnite” is not a sufficient eligibility description when the card names an experience or mode. Treat the named destination as a requirement. If the card does not state a mode, use the selected experience shown above the quest list and confirm that the progress counter moves there.
Counts and thresholds
Quest text can require a number of actions or a progress threshold. Record the exact number before you queue, then check the counter after the match. Do not infer that partial activity grants a reward; the milestone must be met as written.
Prerequisites and sequencing
A quest can be visible but not immediately claimable. Read for a previous stage, a level requirement or an earlier reward that must be claimed. Battle Pass rules are one documented example of this sequencing, but they should not be generalized to every collaboration.
Expiration language
Seasonal and shop-linked quests can have a hard end date. A guide or announcement describing an older collaboration is not evidence that the same quest is still live. Use the date displayed in the current game listing or quest card.

Comparing collaboration quests before choosing one
If several collaborations are active, compare them on the same five axes rather than choosing by character alone:
| Comparison | Question to ask |
|---|---|
| Experience | Does progress require a named mode, or can it be earned in any Fortnite experience? |
| Objective | What action must be repeated, and what count or threshold completes it? |
| Reward | Is the result XP, a level-up, a cosmetic item, or a reward tied to a Quest Pack? |
| Prerequisite | Must you reach a level, claim an earlier reward, buy a pack or finish a previous stage? |
| Availability | What shop, event or quest deadline applies, and is the category still visible? |
This comparison prevents a common mistake: assuming that a reward shown beside a collaboration character follows the same rules as a Battle Pass reward or a Quest Pack reward. The card and its associated listing determine the actual requirement.
Quest Packs that award V-Bucks
Quest Packs have a separate progress rule when their quests award V-Bucks. Select the pack in the Quests tab to see the stages and the number of Global Daily Bonus Goals required for each one. Epic distinguishes quest-earned V-Bucks from direct V-Bucks purchases by the pack icons and progress screen.
The three-goal daily limit
Only three Global Daily Bonus Goals count toward these Quest Pack requirements each day. The game may offer additional Daily Quests, but goals beyond the three-goal allowance do not advance the pack’s requirement. The three qualifying goals can be completed in any Fortnite experience.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- Open Quests and select the relevant Quest Pack.
- Read the stage requirement and note how many Global Daily Bonus Goals remain.
- Complete qualifying daily goals in any Fortnite experience.
- Return to the pack screen and confirm that no more than three goals for that day were credited.
- Continue on a later day if the stage still requires additional goals.
Plan around the cap instead of trying to finish every available Daily Quest in one session. Extra Daily Quests can still be available, but they do not increase the Quest Pack total after the three qualifying Global Daily Bonus Goals have counted for that day. This rule applies to the documented Quest Pack system, not automatically to every collaboration quest. A collaboration card that asks for a particular mode, action or threshold remains governed by its own text.
Battle Pass locks and collaboration rewards
Some Battle Pass rewards require you to reach a stated level and claim earlier rewards first. Epic also says XP earned in any Fortnite experience advances Battle Pass progress. These are Battle Pass conditions, not a universal template for collaboration rewards.
When a collaboration item appears locked, inspect the lock text. If it names a level, earn the required XP; if it names an earlier reward, claim that reward before trying again. If neither condition is shown, do not assume a Battle Pass prerequisite exists. The collaboration quest card or reward panel should provide the controlling requirement.

Recent example: The Knight Sidekick listing
The Fortnite Item Shop listing checked on October 13, 2026 identified The Knight as a Gaming Legends Series Sidekick in the Hollow Knight set. The listing said that its quests unlock items and showed a price of 1,500 V-Bucks. It displayed a purchase cutoff of October 14, 2026 at 00:00 GMT (12:00 AM, GMT+00:00).
Because that cutoff has passed as of October 16, 2026, treat the listing as a dated example rather than a promise that The Knight is currently purchasable. The item can only be obtained if the live Item Shop shows it again. Check the in-game shop and the Sidekick quest category for current status, price and remaining objectives.
Details that belong only to this listing
- The Knight was labeled a Gaming Legends Series Sidekick.
- The listing placed it in the Hollow Knight set.
- The associated quests were described as unlocking items.
- The displayed price was 1,500 V-Bucks at the time of access.
- The listing said Sidekicks react to the world but do not detect enemies or items.
- Visibility of a Sidekick varies by experience.
Those Sidekick behaviors and the price are listing-specific details. They do not change the general process for finding and completing a quest, and they should not be presented as rules for every collaboration character. The price is a digital in-game purchase, not a separate physical requirement for completing the quests.
Cost, access and what you actually need
Quest completion itself is an in-game activity: launch Fortnite, open the relevant quest list and play the eligible experience. The official instructions do not identify a controller, guidebook, physical collectible or other accessory as necessary. A purchase may be associated with a particular Sidekick or Quest Pack, but the live listing must state whether that purchase unlocks access to the relevant quests.
Do not confuse the cost of an item with the value of its quest reward. The Knight listing showed 1,500 V-Bucks, while the associated quests were described as unlocking items. That does not establish that every quest grants V-Bucks, nor that the item price changes when a quest is completed. For V-Bucks earned through quests, use the Quest Pack progress screen and its Global Daily Bonus Goal stages.

How to monitor progress accurately
Check the quest counter after the action that should qualify. If the number does not change, stop repeating the same activity and reread the card for a mode restriction, threshold or prerequisite. For a multi-stage set, confirm that the completed stage has advanced before beginning the next objective.
Quest screens can update only after a match ends or after you return to the lobby. Use the post-match return to reopen the card, verify the milestone and inspect the reward panel. A completed objective and an unclaimed reward may be separate states, so look for the claim or completion indicator provided by the interface.

Take a quick screenshot or note the counter before and after a difficult objective if you need to contact support. Include the exact quest name and selected experience, because a general description such as “my collaboration quest did not work” does not identify the mode or threshold that controlled progress.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to do when a reward does not appear
- Recheck the exact card. Confirm that the action, count, eligible experience and prerequisite were all satisfied.
- Return to the lobby. Open Quests and the relevant category again to force a fresh view of the progress state.
- Inspect the reward panel. Look for a claim control, a newly unlocked stage or the item in the associated reward screen.
- Restart Fortnite. If the milestone is complete but the reward is not visible, close and relaunch the game, then check the same screens.
- Contact Epic support if the recorded state is still wrong. Provide the quest name, experience, objective, completion evidence and the time it occurred. Do not assume a specific remedy until the relevant support instructions confirm one.
A restart can refresh the display, but it does not replace the requirement to meet the objective. If the card never recorded completion, support will need the exact wording and mode to diagnose the issue. Avoid starting the same objective repeatedly until you know whether the counter is delayed, the mode is ineligible or the quest has expired.

Deadlines, shop rotation and availability
Collaboration quests can be tied to a season, event, pack or shop purchase window. Verify the live date before investing time or V-Bucks. A past announcement can explain how an event worked historically, but it cannot establish that the event is still available.
Use three checks before you begin a time-limited set:
- Read the expiration date on the quest or Item Shop listing.
- Confirm that the collaboration category still appears in Quests.
- Check whether the required character, Sidekick or Quest Pack is currently obtainable.
If the category has disappeared after all stages were completed, that can be normal for Sidekick sets. If it disappeared before completion or the shop date is unclear, rely on the live in-game status and Epic support rather than an old guide.
A compact completion checklist
- Selected the experience named by the quest.
- Opened Quests from the lobby.
- Opened the collaboration, character or Sidekick category.
- Recorded the objective, count, threshold, prerequisite and deadline.
- Played the required experience and checked the counter.
- Confirmed the completion milestone after returning to the lobby.
- Claimed or verified the reward.
- For a Quest Pack, counted no more than three Global Daily Bonus Goals toward the pack in one day.
- For a Battle Pass reward, met the stated level and claimed any required earlier rewards.
- Checked the live shop and quest status before assuming an older collaboration is still active.
What rewards can you expect?
Epic Games Support states: “Each quest has a reward, usually XP, level-ups, or cosmetic items.” A collaboration may therefore grant progression or an item rather than V-Bucks. V-Bucks earned through quests are specifically documented for certain Quest Packs, whose pack screen shows the Global Daily Bonus Goal requirement. Do not treat a cosmetic collaboration quest, a Quest Pack and a Battle Pass reward as interchangeable systems.
Reward wording matters. “Unlocks items” describes the The Knight listing but does not enumerate every item or promise a particular cosmetic. A card that shows XP should be evaluated as progression, while a card that shows a cosmetic should be checked for its claim state and any prerequisite. Always use the current reward panel for the exact item and completion condition.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Fortnite collaboration quests?
Launch Fortnite, select the experience you plan to play, open Quests from the lobby and look for the collaboration, character, event or Sidekicks category. The available list can change with the selected experience.
Can I complete every collaboration quest in any mode?
No. Some cards name a required experience or mode. Only Quest Pack Global Daily Bonus Goals are specifically documented as counting in any Fortnite experience, with a limit of three per day.
Why did a Sidekick quest category disappear?
Epic’s Sidekick instructions note that a fully completed Sidekick quest set may no longer appear. Check the completion state before treating its disappearance as lost progress.

No. Epic says quests usually reward XP, level-ups or cosmetic items. Quest-earned V-Bucks are specifically associated with certain Quest Packs and their staged Global Daily Bonus Goal requirements.
What is the daily limit for Quest Pack progress?
Only three Global Daily Bonus Goals count toward a Quest Pack each day. Additional Daily Quests may be available, but they do not advance that pack’s requirement after the three qualifying goals have counted.
Why is my collaboration reward locked?
Read the lock text on the reward panel. It may require a level, an earlier claimed reward or a previous quest stage. Do not assume a Battle Pass requirement applies unless the panel says so.
Is The Knight still available?
The listing checked on October 13, 2026 showed The Knight at 1,500 V-Bucks with a cutoff of October 14, 2026 at 00:00 GMT. That date has passed, so check the live Item Shop before assuming it can be purchased or its quests accessed.

The Bottom Line
Open Quests from the Fortnite lobby, choose the collaboration category for your selected experience, and follow the card’s exact mode, count, threshold, prerequisite and deadline. Verify the counter and reward after returning to the lobby. Treat Quest Pack, Battle Pass and Sidekick rules as separate systems, and check the live Item Shop and quest list because collaboration availability can change.
