Compare the exact LG model’s checkout total first, then assess cashback as a separate, conditional rebate. Add delivery and any services or accessories you actually need; only then weigh warranty coverage and any gift or bundle. That gives you both the amount you must pay now and a realistic view of the offer’s possible later value.
Start by matching the exact product
A matching series name or screen size does not prove two listings are the same product. Record each full model number and UK variant before comparing prices. For a TV, check the screen size and model suffix; for an appliance, check its configuration and variant. A price for a similar model is not a valid like-for-like comparison.

Use the model number shown on the seller’s product page and, where possible, verify it against the manufacturer’s listing. Keep the comparison to the same product rather than treating a nearby model or bundle as equivalent.

Calculate what you will pay to get the product ready to use
Write down the checkout price after immediate discounts, then add unavoidable costs for your postcode and intended use. Depending on the item, these might include delivery, installation, connection, removal or recycling of an old appliance, or a necessary accessory. Do not count an optional service you would not buy.

Checkout total = product price + delivery + required services + necessary extras. Keep this upfront figure separate from a possible later rebate. A useful estimate of effective cost is checkout total minus cashback only if you meet the conditions and successfully receive it. Since a claim may fail or be ineligible, do not treat that estimate as the amount you are certain to pay.
LG UK’s price-promise terms state: “Only the final price at checkout, which may include delivery will be considered for this Promotion; comparing only the respective RRP’s (retail recommended price) is not sufficient for the purposes of this Promotion.” That is the wording of LG’s price-promise terms, not a general guarantee that the promotion is currently open or that every competing offer qualifies. The page describes a promotion for TVs and audio, not LG appliances, and lists exclusions including cashback promotions, coupon codes, bundles, multibuys, clearance, limited-time offers and certain exclusive discounts. Check cashback before assigning it a value
Cashback is a conditional payment after purchase, not an instant reduction at checkout. Before counting it, confirm that the exact model and retailer qualify and that your purchase falls within the stated dates. Read the claim instructions for the deadline, required evidence and payment terms, and check whether the cashback can be combined with other discounts.

- Save the offer terms and note the purchase and claim deadlines.
- Keep the invoice or receipt, order confirmation and any other required proof.
- Submit the claim in the required way and retain confirmation.
- Leave the cashback out of your certain upfront saving until it is approved and paid.
LG’s All Offers page illustrates that promotions can take different forms, such as an eligible TV paired with a free soundbar or selected fridge-freezers offered with a water filter and delivery. Check the specific model, offer dates, claim or registration steps and combination rules; the listing itself is not proof that an offer is available for your purchase. Value a free item only at what it is worth to you, not its advertised price if you would not otherwise use or buy it.
Check delivery and membership terms at your postcode
LG UK’s promotions page describes a 5% welcome voucher for a first purchase after joining, an additional 2% membership discount and free delivery for members. The displayed terms say the welcome voucher is valid for the first 90 days after sign-up and may not combine with other offers. The delivery benefit does not cover postcode-related fees, and installation is excluded unless expressly specified when ordering. LG says products can be delivered only within the UK and warns that prices, promotions and availability vary by store and online and may change without notice.
These are terms displayed on the page when checked, not guaranteed future offers. Verify the current offer, eligible products and checkout total for your own postcode. Do not assume a membership discount stacks with a voucher or cashback, or that “free delivery” includes installation.

Compare warranty coverage, not just the number of years
A five-year headline can describe very different protection. Check whether it covers labour and parts, or only a particular component such as a TV panel; also look for registration deadlines, exclusions and the model list. Compare retailer extensions with the manufacturer warranty on the same basis.
LG’s UK warranty guidance says conditions vary by product and model. Its general table gives TVs 12 months of labour and 12 months of parts cover, and identifies a five-year premium OLED panel warranty on Z Series and G Series OLED TVs. Panel cover is narrower than five years of full parts-and-labour protection, so confirm the terms for the exact TV and any retailer extension. LG says the manufacturer warranty is valid when accompanied by the original invoice, sales receipt or LG confirmation of the warranty period; keep your purchase record.
Retailer offers also have their own dates and registration conditions. For example, Appliances Direct’s listing described a five-year warranty on selected models bought from 1 July through 30 September 2026, with registration within 90 days; the described cover was two years standard plus three years extended parts and labour. That purchase window has elapsed, so it is an illustration of why to check the offer’s dates and terms, not a currently available offer. Use the same comparison sheet for every seller
Make one row per offer and use the same postcode, required services and assumptions. This prevents an apparently cheaper listing from winning only because a delivery charge, installation need or claim condition is missing.
- Product: exact model number and UK variant.
- Money due now: checkout price plus delivery and required services or extras.
- Money that may arrive later: cashback amount and all eligibility, claim and payment conditions.
- Protection: warranty duration, covered parts or services, exclusions and registration requirements.
- Other value: gift or bundle only at a value meaningful to you, plus any restrictions on combining offers.
For appliances, energy use can affect ownership cost, but compare it only when you have compatible energy-label figures and a realistic usage and tariff assumption. Without those, a precise cross-model running-cost estimate is not established by the offer price alone.

Keep evidence of the terms you relied on
Before ordering, save a dated screenshot or written record of the product page, checkout total, postcode-specific delivery charge, offer terms and warranty details. This is especially useful if cashback requires proof or you later rely on a price-promise process. Recheck volatile prices, dates, stock and model eligibility immediately before purchase; a cached promotion or category page does not establish that an offer remains live.
