You can’t buy a Grandista figure on the line name alone, because Banpresto’s published size figures for the line are broad ranges and not a promise of one shared scale. Grandista is a large, static display line. Compare the exact release’s listed height, base, pose and included parts against the alternatives. The closest alternatives are Ichibansho/Masterlise for size, S.H.Figuarts for articulation and MAXIMATIC for action poses.
What Grandista is, and what it isn’t
Grandista is a Banpresto line. Banpresto is the prize-product side of Bandai Spirits, which makes items for amusement facilities and crane-game or prize channels, according to the Bandai Spirits corporate profile. It is a physical collectible meant to be displayed, not an articulated action-figure line. Banpresto’s own comparison with its older Master Stars Piece line says Grandista has no articulation (Banpresto.es).

The line is still current. Bandai Spirits’ official record lists Demon Slayer Grandista-TOMIOKA GIYU- with an appearance date of January 27, 2026. The same page warns that dates can differ by region and store, that products can leave production or sale, and that names or dates can change. A line being active therefore says nothing about whether a given figure is in stock.

Not reliably. Two Banpresto.es pages give different broad numbers:

- The line guide describes Grandista as roughly 25–28 cm. It does not state a date.
- The Grandista versus Master Stars Piece article gives 19–28 cm in its table. Another passage in the same article gives conflicting, broader figures.
These are retailer guide descriptions, not manufacturer specifications for each figure. Treat them as “large, but check.” Don’t assume a fixed ratio such as 1:6. Pose, character proportions and base all change the real size.
A collector thread on r/DBZCU asks the question directly: “Do all Banpresto statues have the same scaling? If not, is there a guide?” The replies are anecdotal, but they point the same way. Scale can differ between lines, and between releases that sound similar in retailer copy.

Ichibansho/Masterlise
This is the closest like-for-like comparison. Banpresto’s guide puts Masterlise in the Ichibansho family and says it is similar in size to Grandista, while treating it as a separate line. Put the two listings’ stated heights side by side before assuming they will sit well together.

Choose this when you want to change poses, photograph a figure in different positions or play with it. You give up the fixed, statue-like presence. This article doesn’t give exact S.H.Figuarts dimensions, because they vary by character and model. Read the specific listing.

MAXIMATIC
MAXIMATIC is about dynamic, mid-action presentation. A figure mid-leap or mid-strike can need far more shelf width or depth than its stated height suggests. That makes it the line where pose footprint matters most.
The axes that actually decide it

Buyer checklist
- Find the official product page, such as Bandai Spirits’ catalog, and note the exact name and release date.
- Read the listing’s stated height, and look for base size in photos or specifications.
- Measure your shelf, including depth and clearance above the figure.
- Look at the pose in the photos. Wide effects, capes, hair or weapons may need more room than the height suggests.
- Confirm the listing matches the version you want, including any included parts.
- Check the seller, the condition (new or used), the packaging and your region’s availability before paying.
Be careful with older items. Bandai Spirits warns that products can leave production or sale, so older figures may only be on the secondary market, where authenticity needs closer checking. No source here supports any claim about resale value for any line.

The Bottom Line
Pick Grandista when you want a large, fixed statue with strong shelf presence. Pick S.H.Figuarts when you want to pose a figure, and look at MAXIMATIC when dramatic action matters most. Use Ichibansho/Masterlise as the nearest static size comparison. In every case, judge the individual release by its measurements, not by its line name.
