On PS5, choose Download; on PS4, choose Add to Library and then Download. You can also start a download remotely through a web browser or the PlayStation App.
Who can claim PlayStation Plus Monthly Games?
Monthly Games are included with PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium. You do not need Extra or Premium just to claim a Monthly Game. PlayStation describes these games as available to download and play at no extra cost during an active membership. New games are added each calendar month, and the lineup and claim availability change over time. Check the Monthly Games listing in your own PlayStation Store or account for the titles currently available in your region. PlayStation’s guide to accessing PlayStation Plus games explains the benefit and claim process.

Claim and download a game on PS5
- From the Games home screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Open the Benefits tab and select Monthly Games.
- Highlight a game in the current listing and select Download.
Selecting the game associates it with your account; choosing Download starts its installation on the console.
Claim and download a game on PS4
- From the function screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Select Monthly Games.
- Highlight a listed game and select Add to Library, then Download.
Start a download remotely
If you are away from your console, PlayStation says you can start a selected game’s download using a web browser or the PlayStation App. The exact remote steps depend on the route, so use the relevant instructions linked from PlayStation’s official guide.

Monthly Games are different from the Game Catalog
Monthly Games are a monthly membership benefit available across all three PlayStation Plus plans. The Game Catalog is a separate benefit available with Extra and Premium; Premium also includes the Classics Catalog. Catalog titles and Monthly Games should not be treated as the same library or eligibility list. See PlayStation Plus support and the PlayStation Plus plan page for the plan distinctions.
