Go to luna.amazon.com/claims, sign in with your Amazon account, pick a game and select Claim. What happens next depends on the offer. Some games land in the Amazon Games app for Windows. Others give you a code to redeem on GOG, or ask you to link an Epic Games or other game account. Amazon says offers vary by country, so the lineup you see may differ from what other readers see.
Claim a free game, step by step
- Open the claims page and sign in. Amazon’s current help directs users to
luna.amazon.com/claims. Older Amazon material calls the benefit Prime Gaming, while current help places it under Amazon Luna. Follow the labels Amazon shows you now. - Choose a game and select Claim. Each claim comes with directions for accessing the content, so read them before moving on. Some offers give a code to redeem in a storefront. Others require account linking.
- Go where the offer sends you. Amazon names four possible destinations: the Amazon Games app, GOG, Epic Games Store and Legacy Games. You can’t choose among them. The offer decides.
- Finish the redemption or link step (details by destination below).
- Install the game from the app or store that now holds it.
What happens next depends on the destination

| Amazon Games app | Install the Windows app, sign in with your Amazon account, open Library and select Install. |
| Epic Games Store | Link your Epic account to Amazon when prompted, then return to the offers page and claim. |
| GOG | Follow the offer’s directions. Amazon says some offers provide a code to redeem through the storefront. |
| Legacy Games | Follow the offer’s own directions. They may involve a code or a linked account. |
Installing games through the Amazon Games app
- Download the installer from Amazon’s support page. The file is
AmazonGamesSetup.exe. The app is for Windows. - Run the installer and sign in with the same Amazon account you used to claim.
- Open your Library. Claimed games appear in the Ready to Install area.
- Select the game, then select Install.
Linking an Epic Games account
Epic’s support instructions say to sign in to Amazon, open the linked services page, and select Epic Games. Then go back to the offers page and claim the content. If a claim doesn’t go through, check that the link step finished before you try again.

If a claimed game is missing or won’t install
For Amazon Games titles, Amazon’s first suggestion is to fully close the app, relaunch it and try the install again. Amazon doesn’t give further steps in the help material, so if that fails, check that you’re signed in to the same Amazon account you claimed with. Also check that the offer wasn’t one that sent you to another store.

Before you claim
- Check the offer live. Availability, lineup, deadlines and redemption platforms can change and differ by country.
- Check the game’s own system requirements. No single hardware spec applies to every offer.
- Don’t assume a fixed schedule. An older Amazon guide says Prime members can claim “at least one game per week,” but that is a dated, general statement, not a current cadence.
- Amazon’s sources don’t say what happens to claimed games if your Prime membership ends, so check the offer’s terms for that.
