Claim a Monthly Game from your PS5
- From the Games home screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Open the Benefits tab, then select Monthly Games.
- Highlight the game you want and select Download.
Sony says new Monthly Games are added each calendar month. Check the current selection in the Monthly Games section; the available titles change over time. Sony’s US instructions are at PlayStation Plus monthly games.

Who can claim Monthly Games?
Sony’s US plan comparison includes Monthly Games with all three PlayStation Plus tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium. Extra and Premium also include Game Catalog access; Premium adds Classics Catalog access and cloud streaming. Those catalog benefits are separate from Monthly Games, so you don’t need Extra or Premium just to claim a Monthly Game. See Sony’s PlayStation Plus plan comparison for the US tier details.

A claimed Monthly Game is not a permanent purchase that remains playable without a subscription. Sony says you can download and play it while your PlayStation Plus plan is active. The Game Catalog and Classics Catalog are different benefits: their titles are accessed through their respective catalogs, and catalog games can leave the service. Start the download remotely
You can also initiate a download to your PS5 or PS4 from a web browser or the PlayStation App by selecting a PlayStation Plus game. The console must be logged in to the same account. Sony’s download guidance also covers automatic-download setup; if remote downloading is not configured, the download may begin the next time the console is turned on.
