Choose the right route to Photoshop

Adobe lists Photoshop in both routes. The individual offer is a discounted subscription, not an automatically free individual student license. Adobe’s separate K–12 offer is no-cost only through eligible participating institutions; it is not an individual checkout entitlement. Check whether you qualify for the individual plan
Adobe’s India education FAQ says student applicants must be at least 13 and enrolled in a primary or secondary school, college, university, homeschool, or alternative education program. The student and teacher discount is also described for teachers and staff. Check Adobe’s current student and teacher plan page for the available plan and terms.
During purchase, a school-issued email address may be enough for Adobe to verify student status. If you do not have one, or it cannot be verified, Adobe may request further proof after purchase. Examples in Adobe’s education FAQ include a school ID, report card, transcript, or tuition bill or statement. The document should show the student’s name, institution, and a current date. Follow the instructions and deadline in the verification request associated with your account or Adobe email.

Buy and activate directly through Adobe
- Open the student plan: Go to Adobe’s India Creative Cloud plans and select the student and teacher route.
- Sign in or create an account: Enter accurate education details. Use your school-issued email if you have one; Adobe may use it to verify your status.
- Respond to any verification request: If Adobe asks for proof, submit a current document showing the relevant student and institution details through Adobe’s verification process.
- Review checkout carefully: Confirm the plan name, current price, billing interval, renewal terms, and any trial terms displayed for your purchase.
- Activate and install: After purchase, sign in to your Adobe account to activate the subscription, then use Adobe’s app or download flow to install Photoshop. Adobe’s activation instructions explain signing in to activate an Adobe-purchased plan.
Redeem a plan bought from a retailer
If you bought a student or teacher edition from a retailer, you may need to redeem its code rather than simply sign in. Use Adobe’s Creative Cloud redemption page and follow the prompts:
- Sign in to your Adobe account, or create one.
- Enter the requested academic-status information.
- Submit the 24-character alphanumeric redemption code supplied by the retailer.
- Review and accept the renewal terms, then provide billing details if prompted.
A UPC or other numeric product code is not the redemption code. Adobe’s full redemption instructions cover the process. Once redeemed, sign in to use the included Creative Cloud apps.

Ask your school about the no-cost K–12 offer
Adobe describes a no-cost Creative Cloud All Apps offer for eligible Indian K–12 institutions. The school, not each student individually, handles eligibility verification and license provisioning. Ask your school’s IT administrator or coordinator whether it participates and how students receive access.
Adobe’s published offer details list over 20 desktop apps, 100 GB of cloud storage per user, standard generative features, and 25 premium generative credits per month shared across Creative Cloud apps. These are specifications of the institution-based offer; they do not mean every student in India automatically qualifies.

Adobe’s India subscription terms say an eligible free trial starts immediately and converts to a paid subscription at the stated rate unless cancelled before the trial ends. Education subscriptions can renew automatically, and applicable tax may be added where the displayed rate excludes it. The price and exact cancellation outcome depend on the specific plan and contract, so check the terms at checkout and in your Adobe account. Student verification may not be permanent. Adobe can ask you to confirm that you still qualify to keep the education discount. Its renewal guidance describes an email link sent before renewal and document submission through its verification page.
