Apple’s Home widget documentation does not describe a way to pick HomeKit cameras for the iPhone Home Screen widget. To view cameras in Apple’s Home app, open the Home tab and use the Cameras section. If you want a widget that opens a chosen group of cameras, a third-party app called Home Widget for HomeKit lists a configurable Camera Mosaic; it is not a native Apple Home widget feature.
Can you select cameras in Apple’s Home widget?
Apple documents camera viewing in the Home app and explains how to add and edit widgets, but its reviewed instructions do not describe a camera picker for the Home Screen Home widget. That means there is no documented Apple-supported setting to choose which camera feeds that widget shows. Camera favorites are a Home-app organization feature; Apple’s guidance does not establish that they determine which cameras appear in the widget.

- Tap Edit, then Add Widget.
- Choose a widget and size, then add it. If a widget offers configuration, touch and hold it and tap Edit Widget.

View cameras in Apple’s Home app
The native documented route is the Cameras section in the Home app. Apple’s current iPhone guide for iOS 27 says up to four camera views can appear there at once; swipe left in the section to see more. Tap a camera tile to open its live video.
- Open the Home app.
- Select the Home tab and find Cameras.
- Tap the camera tile you want to view. To find additional cameras, swipe left in the Cameras section.

What camera favorites do
Apple says up to four cameras are marked as favorites by default and appear on the Home tab. You can edit camera settings from a camera tile’s settings. Treat these as ways to organize or access cameras in the Home app, not as a proven way to choose cameras for the Home Screen widget. Apple’s camera setup guide describes the favorites behavior.

The App Store listing for Home Widget for HomeKit describes a configurable Camera Mosaic that can be opened from a widget and set to show selected cameras. Its version 1.10.2 notes describe selecting and reordering cameras in configurable mosaics. This is a third-party widget-launched view—not a native Apple Home widget—and the listing does not establish that live feeds play continuously inside the widget itself.

Because the listing’s controls can change between app versions, check the current app and its instructions for the exact setup steps. Choose this approach if your goal is a widget shortcut into a selected camera mosaic; use Apple Home if you want the documented camera tiles and live-video view in the Home app.
