The right LG OLED starts with your seating position, not the model number. Measure the distance from your main seat to the screen, shortlist sizes that fit that distance and your wall or stand, then choose among LG’s 2026 B6, C6 and G6 tiers according to light levels, films and TV, gaming, installation needs and budget. Finally, verify the exact regional model code because sizes, features, accessories and prices can vary by country.
Begin with your seat-to-screen distance
Stand in the room where the television will be used and measure from your normal eye position to the front of the screen. Measure the main seat, not the nearest occasional chair. If several people watch from different rows, record the closest and farthest positions; the size that feels comfortable for the primary seat may look less immersive from the back.

LG’s room-size guide treats room size, viewing distance and personal preference as the starting points. Its example places a 75-inch television at an ideal distance of about 2.1–2.3 metres (82.6–90.5 inches). That is guidance rather than a universal comfort rule: eyesight, source quality, seating height and whether you prefer a cinematic or relaxed image all matter.
Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

- Write down the usable wall width and height, including skirting boards, shelves and nearby doors.
- Measure the stand surface if the TV will not be wall-mounted. Include the stand’s footprint and clearance for ventilation and cables.
- Use the distance as a shortlist, then sit in the actual position and check whether the proposed size would require uncomfortable head movement.
Do not buy a size solely because it is the largest panel that fits the wall. A screen can fit physically yet be uncomfortable at your principal seat, while a smaller model may leave unused wall space but suit mixed viewing positions better.

Match size to the available 2026 LG OLED ranges
LG’s announced 2026 US sizes are not a guarantee for every country or series. The table is a planning reference; confirm the exact size on the local product page before ordering.
| Series | US 2026 sizes identified by LG | LG’s positioning | Features specifically listed in the supplied launch material |
|---|---|---|---|
| B6 | Exact range not stated in the supplied material | Entry-level OLED | Check the exact size and feature set for the intended use |
| C6 | 42, 48, 55, 65, 77 and 83 inches | All-around OLED | Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, 4K 165Hz and VRR listed by LG |
| G6 | 55, 65, 77, 83 and 97 inches | Higher-end, brighter OLED and gaming choice | 4K 165Hz VRR, NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium listed by LG |
The absence of a size from this US list does not mean LG never sells that diagonal; it means the supplied 2026 US announcement did not establish it for that series. A 75-inch example in LG’s distance guide should not be treated as proof that every series comes in 75 inches. If your room points to roughly that footprint, compare the physical dimensions of the available 77-inch model rather than assuming the names are interchangeable.
Choose the series by what you actually watch
B6: the entry point
LG positions B6 as its entry-level 2026 OLED. It is the logical first series to investigate when the main goal is an OLED screen at the lowest tier in LG’s range, provided the exact regional model offers the connections, size and processing features you need. The supplied material does not establish B6’s complete US size list, refresh-rate specification or launch MSRP, so those details must be checked for the precise model code.

It means you should verify the individual SKU instead of borrowing C6 or G6 specifications. Confirm supported HDR formats, audio outputs, input layout, stand hardware and gaming modes on the local listing.
C6: the broadest fit
LG describes C6 as its all-around OLED. Its 2026 US range spans 42 to 83 inches, making it the only identified series in the supplied material that covers both compact-room sizes and a large 83-inch option. LG’s launch announcement lists Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, 4K 165Hz and VRR for C6.
C6 is the natural shortlist for a household that mixes films, broadcast or streaming television and games, or for a room where you want several diagonal choices before deciding. Treat the listed features as LG’s specifications for the announced range; confirm that the exact size and country code carries the same specification.
G6: premium brightness positioning and gaming features
LG positions G6 as its higher-end OLED for brighter rooms and gaming. The announced US sizes are 55, 65, 77, 83 and 97 inches. LG lists 4K 165Hz VRR, NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium for the series.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsLG’s lineup page describes its Brightness Booster Ultra as delivering “up to 3.9x the brightness of a regular OLED TV.” That is a manufacturer claim and a stated comparison, not an independent laboratory result. Use it as a reason to investigate G6 for a room with substantial ambient light, but still inspect the screen’s position relative to windows and lamps; no television specification eliminates reflections created by poor placement.
Account for light, windows and reflections
Map the room’s brightest sources before selecting a series. Note windows opposite or beside the screen, glass doors, overhead lighting and lamps that remain on during viewing. A darker room gives you more flexibility; a bright room makes placement and the model’s intended brightness positioning more important.
- If daylight falls directly across the panel, prioritise a wall or stand position that lets you close blinds or turn the screen away from the strongest reflection.
- If the television must face a window, compare G6 as the premium bright-room option LG identifies, while remembering that the brightness statement is not an independent measurement.
- If evening films are the priority and the room can be darkened, spend more time comparing size, seating comfort and audio or mounting requirements rather than paying for a tier solely because it is labelled brighter.
- Check whether the chosen stand or wall mount permits a slight angle. A few degrees can change a distracting reflection without changing the room layout.
Store lighting can hide reflections that appear at home. If possible, view the panel under lighting similar to your room and ask whether the displayed size remains comfortable from your actual seat.

Translate viewing habits into specifications
Films and premium streaming
For film-heavy viewing, screen size and seating distance dominate the decision. C6’s announced support for Dolby Vision is relevant if your streaming devices and services deliver that format. Dolby Atmos is listed for C6 as an audio feature, but it does not by itself create a complete surround system; check how you will connect a soundbar or receiver and whether the TV’s audio outputs suit that equipment.
Keep the room dark enough to control reflections and choose the largest size that remains comfortable from the principal seat. If the room is shared with daytime viewing, balance that preference against window placement instead of assuming a larger panel automatically produces a better experience.
Everyday television
News, sports, broadcast channels and mixed streaming place a premium on a size that several seats can share. A 42- or 48-inch C6 may suit a smaller room, while 55, 65, 77 or 83 inches cover progressively larger walls in the announced US range. Those diagonal choices do not establish a recommended distance by themselves; use your measurement and physical dimensions.
For B6, C6 or G6, verify the tuner, input arrangement and smart-TV functions for your country. Regional model codes can represent different broadcast standards or supplied accessories even when the series name looks identical.
Console and PC gaming
Start with the outputs your console or graphics card can actually provide. LG lists up to 4K 165Hz for C6 and 4K 165Hz VRR for G6 in the 2026 material. A higher advertised refresh rate does not make a source output at that rate; compare the source’s resolution, frame-rate and variable-refresh requirements with the exact TV specification.

G6’s announcement specifically names NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium, which may matter to PC players using compatible hardware. Confirm whether the exact regional size carries those certifications and whether the required HDMI input supports your intended connection. Also check the number and location of full-bandwidth inputs before routing cables behind a wall.
For a console shared with films and television, C6’s all-around positioning and listed 4K 165Hz and VRR make it a sensible comparison point. For a bright gaming room or a PC setup that benefits from the named synchronisation features, add G6 to the shortlist. These are manufacturer-listed capabilities, not independent latency or motion test results.
Plan the installation before ordering
Installation problems are usually caused by buying the right series in the wrong physical configuration. Open the product page for the exact diagonal and model code and record the dimensions with and without the stand.
- Stand or mount: confirm whether a stand is included, its footprint and whether the mounting hardware is supplied. Do not assume an accessory included with one series or size is included with another.
- Wall compatibility: check the TV’s mounting pattern, wall strength, bracket rating and the depth needed for plugs and cable bends. If the listing does not state that a mount is included, budget for a compatible bracket.
- Cable routing: count HDMI, network, antenna, optical and power cables before fixing the panel. Leave serviceable slack; a cable that barely reaches can prevent the TV from sitting flat or being moved safely.
- Viewing height: mark the seated eye line on the wall. A large screen mounted too high can be uncomfortable even when its diagonal and distance are correct.
- Clearance: account for shelves, soundbars, doors and ventilation. Measure the complete installed depth, not just the thin panel edge.
For a stand installation, measure the furniture’s load rating and width. For a wall installation, identify studs or an appropriate masonry fixing before purchase. If the television will be carried through a narrow stairwell or doorway, compare packaged dimensions as well as installed dimensions.

LG’s 2026 US lineup is the strongest evidence available for the sizes and launch features above. It should not be used to promise that a similarly named model in another country has the same tuner, ports, firmware options, accessories or price.
Use launch MSRP only as historical context
LG Electronics USA’s March 5, 2026 announcement said the C6 was available in six screen sizes—42, 48, 55, 65, 77 and 83 inches—with an MSRP starting at $1,399. The same announcement stated that G6 launched at $2,499. Those are dated US launch MSRPs, not current offers or predictions of what a retailer will charge.
No B6 launch MSRP is established in the supplied material. Current prices can differ by size, retailer, promotion, stock level and country. Compare the exact local SKU immediately before purchase and include the cost of a stand, wall bracket, longer cables, delivery and installation when calculating the total.
A lower price on a different suffix is not automatically a bargain. It may represent another market, a different size, an older model year or fewer supplied accessories. Match the complete code first, then compare the delivered total and warranty.
Practical decision paths
Small room or close seating
Measure first, then begin with the 42- or 48-inch C6 sizes identified for the US. Add B6 if its local range offers a suitable diagonal and the required features. Do not let a discounted large panel override the comfort of your main seat.
Mixed household use
Shortlist C6 because LG positions it as the all-around series and lists both Dolby formats and 4K 165Hz with VRR. Compare 55, 65, 77 and 83 inches against your measured wall and seating distance, then verify the exact regional code.
Bright room with serious gaming
Investigate G6 first because LG positions it for brighter rooms and gaming, and lists 4K 165Hz VRR plus NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium. Treat the Brightness Booster Ultra figure as LG’s claim, inspect reflections in your own room and confirm that the chosen size carries the gaming features.
Large dedicated viewing room
Compare C6 at 77 or 83 inches with G6 at 77, 83 or 97 inches where those sizes are sold in your market. Use the seat-to-screen measurement and wall structure to decide whether the additional diagonal is comfortable and installable; do not infer that the 97-inch option is available outside the announced US range.
Final pre-purchase checklist
- Seat-to-screen distance measured from the primary viewing position.
- Wall width, height, stand depth, doorway and stairwell clearances recorded.
- Room light sources and reflection angles considered.
- Series selected for actual use: B6 entry-level, C6 all-around or G6 premium bright-room and gaming positioning.
- Exact diagonal confirmed for the country and model code.
- Refresh rate, VRR and any G-SYNC or FreeSync requirement matched to the console or PC.
- Inputs, audio connection, tuner and supplied accessories checked on the local listing.
- Mount, stand, cable-routing and viewing-height plan completed.
- Current local price, delivery, installation, warranty and return terms checked immediately before payment.
The best LG OLED is therefore the one whose exact regional SKU fits your measured viewing distance, physical installation and daily habits. LG’s 2026 US B6, C6 and G6 labels provide useful tier guidance, but size availability, features and prices must be confirmed for the model actually sold where you live.
