For a smaller wrist, compare a G-Shock’s case length, width and thickness, its weight, and the manufacturer’s compatible band-size range—not just the width. Casio’s GMA-P2100 and GMA-S2100 are smaller on paper than the standard GA-2100, but specifications cannot predict exactly how a watch will sit or feel on your wrist. If possible, try the exact model on before buying.
What to compare when judging G-Shock fit
- Case length: A longer case can extend farther toward the edges of your wrist. Check how the watch’s ends sit, not only its width.
- Case width and shape: Width helps compare models, but an octagonal analog-digital case and a digital square present differently on the wrist.
- Thickness: A thicker case may feel more prominent or catch on a sleeve.
- Weight: A lighter watch may feel less substantial during wear, though comfort is personal.
- Band range and fit: Treat Casio’s stated range as a compatibility reference, not a guarantee of comfort. The way the band drops from the case and wraps around your wrist also matters.
Measurements help narrow the options; they do not establish a universal wrist-circumference cutoff for whether a G-Shock will look or feel right. On-wrist photos can help you compare proportions, but use them cautiously because angles and wrist shape affect appearance. Trying the exact reference in person is the most direct way to judge fit.

Consider a digital-square style
If you prefer a digital display and square case, the standard DW-5600BCE-1 is a useful comparison point: Casio lists it at 48.9 × 42.8 × 13.4 mm and 57 g, with a compatible band range of 145–215 mm. Its dimensions and range are listed on Casio’s DW-5600BCE-1 product page.
Casio’s catalog describes the GMD-S5600 as a more compact 5600-style line, so it may be worth investigating if you want a square digital watch. The cited catalog does not confirm current measurements for a specific reference, however. Check the exact model’s current product listing rather than assuming every GMD-S5600 has a particular size or weight. Casio’s catalog

Choose a starting point, then check the exact reference
- Pick the shape and display you want. Start with the octagonal analog-digital GMA-P2100 or GMA-S2100, the standard GA-2100, or a square digital model such as the DW-5600BCE-1.
- Compare all three case dimensions and weight. Use length × width × thickness and grams; do not choose by width alone.
- Check the compatible band range on your market’s product page. Match the exact model code and region, especially if you are comparing a regional listing.
- Try it on if practical. Check whether the case sits comfortably and whether the band wraps naturally, rather than relying solely on a photo or a circumference number.
- Verify compatibility before replacing a band. Band fit is model-specific; do not assume a generic or similarly styled replacement will fit.
If you are shopping online, confirm the exact reference, color and regional listing before ordering. Similar names can refer to different sizes, and a line description is not a substitute for specifications for the particular watch.
