The right Anker charger is the one that matches your devices’ supported charging standards, required wattage, cable capabilities, and your usual number of simultaneously connected devices. Start with the exact phone, tablet, or laptop model; then choose the smallest charger that provides enough single-port output and practical power sharing for your routine. A higher wattage rating alone does not make a phone charge faster.
Start with your devices, not the charger’s headline wattage
Before comparing Anker models, write down every device you expect to charge from the charger. Include phones, tablets, laptops, earbuds, watches, handheld consoles, and USB accessories. A charger that is ideal for one phone may be inconvenient for a laptop or inadequate when three devices are connected.

For each device, identify its exact model and check the manufacturer’s current manual, support page, or technical specifications. Look for:
- The supported charging standard, such as USB Power Delivery (USB-C PD) or another manufacturer-supported protocol.
- The highest supported input power in watts.
- Whether the device requires USB-C, USB-A, a proprietary connector, or a particular cable type.
- Any conditions that reduce charging speed, such as charging while the device is under heavy load.
Anker’s support guidance gives the basic calculation as Power (W) = Voltage (V) × Current (A). If a device lists several input options, use the highest listed input when sizing a charger. The figure is a device requirement, not a promise that the device will draw that amount continuously.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
What wattage actually means
A charger’s rating is a ceiling
A 100W charger can provide up to 100 watts from a suitable port under the conditions specified by its manufacturer. It does not push 100 watts into every connected device. The phone, tablet, or laptop and the charger negotiate a supported power level, and the device draws only what its charging system accepts.
That is why a high-output USB-C charger is normally suitable for a lower-wattage phone when the charging standards and cable are compatible. The extra capacity can be useful for a laptop or a second device, but it does not automatically increase a phone’s charging speed.
Match the single-port requirement first
For a laptop, compare its highest supported input with the maximum output of the port you will actually use. A charger with a high total rating can still be a poor choice if its laptop port delivers too little when other ports are occupied.

Oversizing may still be worthwhile for a shared household or work kit, but the reason is capacity for other devices, not faster charging of a device that has a lower limit.
Choose by your daily charging pattern
Anker’s 2026 guide frames charger selection around what you carry every day rather than the highest number on the box. The examples below are manufacturer recommendations, not universal compatibility guarantees.
| Usage pattern | Anker example | Why it may fit | Verify before buying |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phone, earbuds, compact tablet, and a light everyday carry | Nano Charger 45W | Compact USB-C PD output up to 45W for a simple carry setup | Whether a laptop in your kit needs more than 45W |
| Laptop, phone, tablet, and USB-A accessories sharing one outlet | Charger 140W, 4-Port | Mixed USB-C and USB-A connectivity for several devices | The current regional model, its power distribution, and each device’s requirement |
| High-power laptop plus several USB-C devices | Prime Charger 160W | Positioned by Anker for demanding USB-C workflows and multiple high-output devices | Each device’s input requirement and simultaneous-output behavior |
| Three-port setup with a documented 100W single-port mode | Prime Charger (100W, 3 Ports, GaN), model A2688 | Two USB-C ports and one USB-A port; up to 100W from one USB-C port | Three-port total falls to up to 89W; cable is sold separately |
| Lower-output three-port setup | Prime 67W GaN Wall Charger, model A2669 | Up to 67W from one port and broad phone, tablet, and selected laptop examples | Two-port and three-port limits, plus the exact laptop requirement |
Anker’s US collection displays additional categories, including 45W, 100W, 140W, 160W, and 250W chargers. Product names, regional lineups, pricing, and availability can change, so treat those category labels as a starting point and confirm the current product page before purchase.
How many ports do you need?
One port: smallest and simplest
Choose a single-port charger when you normally charge one device at a time and value the smallest everyday carry. It avoids power-sharing rules because the one connected device receives the port’s full available output. You may need a second charger at a desk or bedside if your routine regularly includes several devices.
Two or three ports: practical mixed-device charging
Two USB-C ports can cover a laptop and phone without an adapter, while adding USB-A helps when you still own USB-A cables or accessories. Port shape matters as much as port count: a three-port charger with only one USB-C port may be less useful for a laptop-and-phone setup than a two-port charger with two USB-C outputs.
Four ports: shared charging from one outlet
A four-port design is useful for a family, a shared desk, or a travel kit containing several USB-C and USB-A devices. Its advantage is convenience and cable flexibility. Its trade-off is that the total power must be divided among ports, so confirm the per-port and simultaneous-use limits before connecting a high-demand laptop.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Understand power sharing when multiple devices are connected
Maximum output is often quoted for one port in use. The available power can change as soon as a second or third device is connected.
For the Anker Prime 100W three-port charger (A2688), Anker lists up to 100W when one port is used and up to 89W maximum with all three ports in use. The product has two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. Anker instructs users to connect a laptop to the upper USB-C port when both USB-C ports are occupied.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →For the Prime 67W GaN Wall Charger (A2669), Anker lists up to 67W from one port, up to 65W with two ports in use, and up to 64.5W with three ports in use. It likewise identifies the upper USB-C port as the laptop port when both USB-C ports are used.
These are manufacturer specifications for named models, not a general rule that every Anker charger loses the same amount. Read the output table for the exact charger and connection pattern you intend to use.
Check cables and charging standards
USB-C is a connector, not a speed guarantee
Two USB-C plugs can support different charging capabilities. Confirm that the charger, device, and cable share a compatible charging standard. USB-C PD works through negotiation; a charger’s high rating is useful only when the device and cable can participate at the required level.
Use the right cable for the intended power
The A2688 product page states that a cable is not included and recommends an E-Marker cable for optimal 100W charging. An E-Marker cable contains an identification chip that allows supported equipment to recognize its capability. If your chosen charger does not include a cable, budget for a cable rated for the power and standard you plan to use.
Also check the connector on the device end. A USB-C charger cannot directly replace a proprietary laptop adapter unless the laptop accepts charging over USB-C and its specifications permit that method.
Step-by-step method for selecting an Anker charger
- List the devices. Record the exact phone, tablet, laptop, and accessory models you want to charge from one outlet.
- Find each input requirement. Use the device maker’s manual or support page. Note the highest supported wattage and any required charging protocol.
- Identify the demanding device. In most mixed kits, this is the laptop. Size the charger so the laptop can receive its needed output from the port you will use while other devices are connected.
- Choose a port layout. Select one port for a minimalist setup, two or three for a personal multi-device kit, or four for shared charging. Count USB-C and USB-A ports separately.
- Read simultaneous-output specifications. Do not rely on the single-port headline. Check the listed total and per-port output for two-port and three-port use.
- Confirm the cable plan. Determine whether cables are included. For a 100W USB-C connection, follow the manufacturer’s cable recommendation and use a cable rated for the intended power.
- Check the regional listing. Verify the exact model number, plug format, output table, and availability for your country. Anker’s US pages and other regional pages may not show identical products.
- Recheck the device specifications before ordering. Device revisions can change charging requirements, and a compatibility list on a charger page is not a substitute for the current device manual.
Which charger fits common setups?
Phone and earbuds only
A compact 45W USB-C PD charger is usually the most proportionate choice when your carry consists of a phone, earbuds, and perhaps a small tablet. The 45W figure is Anker’s example for this use pattern. It is not a recommendation for every phone or tablet, and it should not be assumed to meet a laptop’s input requirement.
Phone, tablet, and a USB-C laptop
Prioritize two USB-C ports and enough simultaneous output for the laptop plus the phone or tablet. The 140W four-port example is aimed at this kind of mixed-device flexibility, while the A2688 offers a documented three-port option with up to 100W from one USB-C port. Compare the laptop’s requirement with the output available after the second device is connected.

High-power laptop and several USB-C devices
Anker positions its 160W Prime example for demanding USB-C workflows. Choose this class only after checking the laptop’s actual input requirement and the charger’s simultaneous-output table. A high total rating is valuable when several devices genuinely need power; it is unnecessary if your devices have modest limits.

Older accessories that still use USB-A
Count USB-A ports explicitly. A charger may have ample total wattage but no convenient way to connect an older cable without an adapter. The A2688 combines two USB-C ports with one USB-A port, which can accommodate a laptop, a phone, and one USB-A accessory, subject to its 89W three-port maximum.
Handheld gaming device while playing
Anker’s A2669 page notes that charging a Steam Deck while playing can increase charging time. If a handheld is part of your setup, check its required input and remember that active use can consume power while charging. Select the port and output mode based on the device’s own specifications rather than assuming that the charger’s headline wattage guarantees a rapid charge during gameplay.
Compatibility examples and their limits
The A2688 page lists compatibility examples that include iPhone 15-series devices, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, iPad Air and iPad mini, Samsung Galaxy S-series phones, Pixel devices, and selected Windows laptops. The A2669 page lists selected MacBook, Lenovo, HP, and Dell laptops, iPads, Galaxy tablets, iPhones, Galaxy phones, and Pixel phones.
These lists show the kinds of devices the products are designed to serve; they do not establish that every model in a product family has identical charging behavior. Check the exact model, current regional specifications, and required cable before relying on a compatibility example.

Choosing the highest wattage automatically
Why it fails: A phone draws only the power it supports, so a larger charger may not reduce charging time.
Fix: Spend the extra capacity only when it solves a real need, such as charging a laptop and phone together or leaving room for future USB-C devices.
Reading only the single-port number
Why it fails: The charger may reduce output when additional ports are used.
Fix: Compare the one-port, two-port, and three-port figures for your actual connection pattern.

Assuming every USB-C cable is equivalent
Why it fails: Cable capability can limit the negotiated charging level.
Fix: Use a cable rated for the intended power and follow the product maker’s recommendation, such as Anker’s E-Marker recommendation for optimal 100W charging with A2688.
Ignoring port type
Why it fails: A charger with the right wattage may not have enough USB-C ports, or any USB-A port for an existing accessory.
Fix: Count each connector type and assign a port to every device in your normal charging scenario.
Assuming a listed device family proves exact compatibility
Why it fails: Different generations and regional models can have different input requirements.
Fix: Verify the exact model’s manual or support page and then compare it with the current Anker listing.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Troubleshooting slow or unexpected charging
The phone is not charging faster with a more powerful charger
Check the phone’s supported input wattage and charging protocol first. If the phone’s limit is below the charger’s rating, the charger is behaving as designed. Then test a cable known to support the required standard and connect directly to the charger rather than through an unverified adapter.
The laptop slows down when the phone is connected
Review the charger’s multi-port output table. On A2688, three-port use is capped at up to 89W total, and the upper USB-C port is the specified laptop port when both USB-C ports are used. On A2669, three-port output is listed as up to 64.5W. If that shared output is below the laptop’s requirement, disconnect the second device or use a charger with a higher simultaneous-output rating.

The device shows charging but gains battery slowly under load
Heavy use can consume power while charging. This is especially relevant to a handheld gaming device; Anker notes that charging a Steam Deck while playing can increase charging time. Compare the device’s input requirement with the active workload and try charging while idle to separate charger limitations from power consumption during use.

The charger or cable is not recognized as providing the expected power
Confirm that the cable is rated for the target wattage, that the device supports the required USB-C PD mode, and that you are using the intended USB-C port. If the product page specifies a particular laptop port, follow that arrangement before testing another connection.
When a higher-capacity charger is worth carrying
A larger charger earns its space when it replaces several smaller adapters, supports a laptop and mobile devices from one outlet, or gives a demanding USB-C setup enough headroom. It is less compelling when you charge one phone at a time and never carry a laptop. Portability, outlet availability, and the number of cables you already carry can matter more than the maximum wattage.
Use the 45W, 140W, and 160W examples as planning anchors for different routines, not as universal tiers. The correct choice is the one whose output, port layout, cable requirements, size, and regional availability all match your actual devices.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will a 100W Anker charger damage a phone that supports less power?
A compatible USB-C PD charger negotiates with the phone, and the phone draws only the power it supports. The important checks are protocol compatibility and a suitable cable, not matching the charger’s maximum wattage to the phone.
Can one Anker charger charge a laptop and a phone at the same time?
Yes, provided the charger has the necessary ports and still provides enough power to the laptop when both devices are connected. Use the charger’s simultaneous-output table rather than its single-port headline.
Do Anker chargers always include a USB-C cable?
No. Anker’s A2688 page says its cable is not included and recommends an E-Marker cable for optimal 100W charging. Check the exact product listing before ordering.
