Since the May 19, 2026 rework, each weapon is a complete class with a fixed skill package rather than a component in a freely assembled build. Choose the class whose range, attack pattern, crowd control, mobility and healing match the way you play, then use Upgrade Cores to address its weaknesses.
The practical question is not “Which weapon has the highest tier?” It is “Which documented abilities solve the problems I face in this activity?” The examples below show how to make that decision without relying on an unverified damage ranking.

What changed in the weapon system
The May 19, 2026 release notes describe a fundamental change: “We’ve moved from customizable builds to fully equipped Weapons. Each Weapon is now its own class, coming with a pre-defined set of skills.” In practice, selecting a weapon now selects a combat identity and its associated abilities at the same time.
You therefore cannot assume that a weapon is merely a stat stick that can be rebuilt into any role. Your choice determines how you attack, control enemies, move through danger and recover health. Upgrade Cores still let you tune important attributes, but they do not turn every class into every other class.

Start with the role you actually need
Use these questions before looking at individual weapon names:
- Where do you want to fight? Long-range weapons give you more room to react; melee weapons demand closer positioning but can deliver faster pressure.
- How do you handle groups? Slows, stuns, pulls, cones and area attacks determine whether a class can create space when several monsters arrive.
- What keeps you alive? A dash, invisibility, healing-over-time effect, health recovery on hit or larger health pool changes how much risk you can take.
- What does your team lack? Some weapons contribute direct ally healing or control instead of only personal damage.
- What activity are you entering? A weapon that feels comfortable against isolated targets may be less suitable when an encounter emphasizes groups, movement or protecting allies.
The following examples are documented in official weapon descriptions. They illustrate how to match a class to a role; they are not a complete live-roster ranking or a measured damage tier list.
Ranged control and area damage: Speedshot
Speedshot is the clearest fit when you prefer to attack from distance while controlling the approach. Its basic attack fires piercing arrows in a straight line, so positioning matters: line up enemies when possible instead of treating it like a point-blank weapon.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Cold Snap slows enemies, giving you more time to reposition or keep a dangerous target away. Rain Supreme provides area damage for groups rather than forcing you to shoot every enemy individually. Speedshot also has a dash for emergency movement and Comeback, a healing-over-time ability. That combination makes it a sensible starting point for players who value distance, predictable lanes and a recovery button.
Venom-focused ranged play: Venom Bow
Venom Bow is another ranged example, but its documented abilities emphasize venom and include healing through Antidote. Choose it when you want your weapon identity to revolve around applying venom-oriented effects while retaining a way to recover health.
The available descriptions do not establish that Venom Bow out-damages Speedshot, nor do they provide a universal best core setup for it. Compare the two by the problems you need solved: Speedshot’s listed slow, area attack and dash versus Venom Bow’s venom theme and Antidote healing.
Fast melee pressure and escape: Squid Blades
Squid Blades suit a player who wants to enter melee, burst a target and leave before the response arrives. The weapon attacks one close-range target at high speed. Its dash-and-stun skill can interrupt or create an opening, while temporary invisibility supplies a brief way to disengage or change position.

Companion and threat management: Wolf Stick
Wolf Stick adds a wolf companion to the fight. The companion changes how you think about positioning because the weapon includes a taunt that can draw attention and a charged frenzy that heals both the player and the wolf.
Pick this style when you enjoy managing a partner on the field and want personal recovery tied to a charged attack. The documented abilities make it a natural candidate for players who value threat management and a companion-based rhythm. They do not, by themselves, prove that Wolf Stick is the strongest solo or group weapon.
Team healing and battlefield control: Singularity
Singularity is the most explicit support-oriented example in the official descriptions. It uses a traveling projectile and includes teleportation, area damage, and a black-hole effect that pulls and stuns enemies. Restoration Radius heals allies inside its radius.

Comparison of the documented examples
| Weapon | Primary pattern | Control or area tools | Safety or recovery | Best initial question |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Speedshot | Ranged, straight-line piercing arrows | Cold Snap slow; Rain Supreme area damage | Dash; Comeback healing over time | Do I want distance, lane control and a reliable escape? |
| Venom Bow | Ranged, venom-oriented abilities | Specific control and area details are not stated in the cited announcement | Antidote healing | Do I prefer a venom-focused identity with recovery? |
| Squid Blades | High-speed close-range single-target attacks | Dash-and-stun; cone-piercing blade skill | Temporary invisibility; charged attack heals on hits | Can I time melee entries, stuns and exits? |
| Wolf Stick | Companion-based combat with a wolf | Taunt; charged frenzy | Charged frenzy heals the player and wolf | Do I want a companion and tools that manage enemy attention? |
| Singularity | Traveling projectile with support utility | Teleportation; area damage; pulling and stunning black hole | Restoration Radius heals allies | Does my team need grouping, mobility and area healing? |
The table records what the official descriptions establish. It does not assign damage numbers, win rates or a universal tier position; no such comparative statistics are published in the cited material.
How to choose for solo play
Solo players have to cover their own damage, movement and recovery. Start by identifying the failure that ends your runs most often.
If you are hit while approaching
Favor a weapon with distance or an explicit escape. Speedshot’s straight-line arrows, slow, dash and healing-over-time effect give you several ways to reduce contact. Squid Blades can also survive risky entries, but only if you consistently land the dash-and-stun sequence and use invisibility before the counterattack.

If groups overwhelm you
Look for area coverage or a way to create a controlled gap. Speedshot combines Rain Supreme with Cold Snap. Squid Blades’ cone-piercing blade skill supplies a close-range answer, while Singularity’s black hole can pull and stun enemies before its area damage is applied.

If attrition is the problem
Choose a class whose listed kit supports repeated recovery. Speedshot has Comeback, Venom Bow has Antidote, Squid Blades heal on charged-attack hits, and Wolf Stick’s charged frenzy heals both the player and wolf. These effects have different conditions, so select the one that matches your normal combat rhythm rather than treating “has healing” as a complete comparison.
If you want the simplest first test
Begin with the weapon whose primary attack feels easiest to aim and whose defensive tool you remember under pressure. A theoretically attractive ability is less useful if its range, charge timing or positioning does not fit your habits. After a short session, note whether you died from lack of damage, lack of control, poor movement or insufficient recovery; that observation tells you what to change next.
How to choose for team play
In a group, duplicate personal damage is not always more valuable than filling a missing function. Ask your teammates what they already cover.
When the team needs healing
Singularity’s Restoration Radius is the clearest documented ally-healing tool among these examples. Plan where the restorative area will be placed, and tell teammates when you are using it so they can remain inside it. If the group is spread across the arena, a positional healing field may require more coordination than a personal recovery effect.
When the team needs control
Slow, stun and pull effects can protect teammates by reducing the number of threats acting at once. Speedshot’s Cold Snap, Squid Blades’ stun and Singularity’s pulling black hole all contribute control, but at different ranges. Choose the one that lets you apply control without abandoning the formation your team relies on.
When the team needs a front-line distraction
Wolf Stick’s taunt and wolf companion can help manage enemy attention. Treat that as a role decision, not proof of superior toughness: the cited descriptions do not provide comparative survivability values. Coordinate with damage dealers so the taunt creates an opening rather than pulling enemies into an unsafe location.
Use five comparison axes instead of a tier-list label
1. Range and attack pattern
Write down how a weapon actually delivers its basic pressure. Speedshot’s arrows travel in a straight line and pierce; Squid Blades focus on one close target at high speed. A long-range attack may demand aim and alignment, while a melee attack may demand constant proximity. Pick the pattern you can execute repeatedly, not the one that sounds strongest in a description.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →2. Crowd control and area coverage
Separate control from damage. A slow changes enemy movement, a stun interrupts or pauses a target, and a pull changes where enemies stand. Area damage affects several targets but may not stop them from acting. Speedshot, Squid Blades and Singularity each demonstrate different combinations, so decide whether your priority is grouping enemies, delaying them or clearing them.

It introduces powerful new features such as gyro settings, stick curve adjustments, and button-to-mouse mapping, giving you deeper customization and more control than ever before.
3. Mobility and safety
Count the defensive options you can activate when a pattern goes wrong. Speedshot has a dash, Squid Blades combine a dash with temporary invisibility, and Singularity includes teleportation. These are not interchangeable: a dash changes position quickly, invisibility can hide your transition, and teleportation may solve a different spacing problem. Practice the timing before judging a weapon’s safety.
4. Self-healing versus team healing
Healing on your own hits, healing over time and an ally-restoration field serve different objectives. Comeback, Antidote, Squid Blades’ charged attack and Wolf Stick’s charged frenzy are personal or companion recovery examples. Singularity’s Restoration Radius is explicitly for allies in its area. Select the category your activity demands.
5. Core compatibility
Once the class fits your role, use Upgrade Cores to improve a weakness or reinforce a strength. Do not assume that a core combination is best-in-slot for a weapon unless current comparative testing establishes that claim.
Upgrade Cores: tune the class without changing its identity
Supercell support describes Upgrade Cores as unique boosts found by defeating monsters and inserted into a weapon through the Weapons menu. The documented core types are:
| Core type | What it changes | Use it when your build needs | Decision trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Damage | Damage output | More direct pressure | You give up the opportunity to use that slot for survival, speed or cooldown support. |
| Critical Damage | Damage from critical hits | A setup that already benefits from critical-hit opportunities | Its value depends on how often your weapon produces critical hits; no universal gain is established. |
| Attack Speed | Attack frequency | Faster basic attacks | It may compete with raw damage or defensive improvements. |
| Cooldown | Ability recharge time | More frequent dashes, control or healing abilities | It helps only when you can use the recovered abilities effectively. |
| Healing | Healing-related output | Stronger recovery effects | It is different from receiving more healing and may not solve an ally-healing need. |
| Healing Received | How much healing you receive | Surviving with external or incoming heals | It does not automatically increase healing you perform for others. |
| Max Health | Maximum health | A larger buffer for unavoidable hits | More health does not replace movement or crowd control. |
| Dodge | Dodge capability | More ability to avoid attacks | Its benefit depends on encounter timing and your execution. |
Insert and manage cores carefully
- Open the Weapons menu and select the weapon you want to tune.
- Insert the Upgrade Core that addresses the problem you identified, such as cooldowns for a control-heavy class or Max Health for a build that dies to unavoidable hits.
- Play enough encounters to decide whether the change solved that problem; change one priority at a time so you can tell what helped.
- Remember that equipped cores cannot simply be removed. Support says they can be swapped for cores of higher charge, with the swapped core returned to storage. Plan upgrades around that rule instead of expecting free, lossless removal whenever you want.
“Healing” and “Healing Received” are separate choices in the official list. Use the former when you need stronger healing output and the latter when your survival depends on healing supplied to you; do not treat their names as synonyms.

Seasonal P.E.R.K. pools
Weapon access can depend on the current season and reward pool. Official support says the P.E.R.K. pool refreshes each season and can include weapons, mo.gold, Merch Credits and Upgrade Cores. A Season 5 update specifically said Medicine Ball, Storm Weaver and Pyro were added for players who had missed them earlier and that no new weapons were added in that season.
Those names and rules are dated examples, not a promise about the season you are playing. Check the live P.E.R.K. screen and current patch notes before planning a build around a weapon that is not already unlocked.
Weapon-specific mastery
Mastery rewards are tied to individual weapons. The official mastery notes describe three tracks:
Best Value
- Officially licensed by Xbox. Bluetooth connection. Supports Xbox Cloud Gaming.
- Officially supported by Apple. Compatible with Apple and Android devices. Stretchable design fits most phones (100–170mm in length).
- Hall Effect Joysticks and Triggers - Upgraded. Robust and long-lasting. Offering higher precision and sensitivity.
- Tactile bumpers and D-pad, 2 Pro back paddle buttons, Xbox button, and wear-resistant metal joystick rings for more ways to play.
- Support 8BitDo Ultimate Software V2 on mobile.
- Dojo challenges: weapon-specific tasks.
- Weapon milestones: goals such as defeating enemies or bosses with that weapon.
- Elite Contract performance: progress earned through Elite Contract results.
Rewards described for these tracks include badges, profile metrics, Upgrade Cores and a Golden Weapon Shader. Because progress is weapon-specific, trying a class and learning its timing can be more valuable than switching constantly to follow an unverified community ranking.
A repeatable decision process
- Name your activity. Identify whether you are playing alone, coordinating with a group, clearing many enemies, facing bosses or pursuing mastery objectives.
- Choose your preferred distance. Select ranged, close-range or companion-oriented play before comparing minor details.
- Pick one control requirement. Decide whether you need a slow, stun, pull, cone or area damage to manage the threats you expect.
- Pick one safety requirement. Choose the defensive behavior you can execute: dash, teleportation, invisibility, healing over time, healing on hits or a larger health buffer.
- Compare two or three documented kits. For example, compare Speedshot and Venom Bow for ranged recovery, or Squid Blades and Wolf Stick for aggressive solo play.
- Test the basic loop. Use the weapon long enough to see whether its attack pattern, skill timing and recovery condition feel natural.
- Install a core for the observed weakness. Use Damage, Attack Speed, Cooldown, Healing, Healing Received, Max Health, Dodge or Critical Damage according to the problem you recorded.
- Recheck progression constraints. Confirm that the weapon remains available through the current season’s P.E.R.K. pool or your existing unlock path.
- Commit for mastery only after the loop works. Since mastery rewards are weapon-specific, settle on a class you can play consistently before investing heavily in its challenges.
Common selection mistakes and fixes
Mistake: treating a weapon as a blank build template
Fix: Start from the predefined skill package. Cores tune attributes; they do not erase the class’s range, attack pattern or signature abilities.
Mistake: equating healing with invulnerability
Fix: Check the condition. Healing over time, healing on hits, a charged frenzy and an ally-only radius each require different timing or positioning. Keep using movement and control even when a recovery effect is available.
Recommended Free Tools
Mistake: choosing a weapon by a single damage claim
Fix: No cited official source supplies a universal DPS ranking, pick rate, win rate or strongest-weapon statistic. Compare the complete kit and the activity’s demands instead.
Mistake: assuming every named weapon is immediately obtainable
Fix: Seasonal reward pools change. Verify the current P.E.R.K. pool and in-game unlock information before promising yourself a specific weapon.
Mistake: installing cores without a problem statement
Fix: Record what is failing first—missed cooldowns, weak recovery, insufficient health, poor damage or avoidable hits—then select the core type that addresses that failure. Remember the support rule for swapping equipped cores.
What the available evidence can and cannot prove
The official material identifies role-defining abilities and progression systems, but it does not provide a complete, dated roster with comparable performance numbers. It therefore supports a role-based recommendation, not a definitive strongest weapon for every activity.
Balance patches, seasonal availability and the P.E.R.K. pool can change after the May and June 2026 announcements. Before publishing or following a specific ranking, compare the current in-game weapon list with the latest patch notes. If a newer weapon or balance change alters an ability, evaluate it using the same axes: range, attack pattern, control, area coverage, mobility, recovery, team utility and core fit.
Practical recommendation
For a cautious ranged start, test Speedshot; for venom-oriented ranged recovery, test Venom Bow; for high-tempo melee, test Squid Blades; for companion and threat management, test Wolf Stick; and for team healing plus grouping control, test Singularity. Then install a core that fixes the weakness you actually observe. That process produces a build aligned with your activity and play style without pretending that one class is objectively best for every player.
