There is no universally best hero selector in Seven Knights Re:Birth: the right pick depends first on the exact selector’s eligible-hero list, then on the mode and role your roster needs. For broad PvE farming, Teo, Yeonhee, Rin and Mercure are candidates if the selector offers them; if your damage roster is already covered, a versatile support such as Vanessa or Kagura may be a more useful addition. Check the selector’s own list before deciding.
Start with the selector, not a tier list
“Hero selector” is not enough information to identify which heroes you can choose. Selector pools are item-specific, so a recommendation is only useful after you confirm that the named hero appears in your particular item’s selection screen.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Netmarble’s September 2, 2026 update illustrates why that check matters: it announced Hayeon as an addition to several named items, including Legendary Hero Selector and Legendary Hero Selector II, as well as multiple tickets. That notice does not establish that every selector has the same pool, or provide a complete current list for every item. Treat the list shown in your game as the final eligibility check.
Check the exact item and its displayed options
- Read the item’s full name. Note whether it is a selector or a ticket and any distinguishing numeral or category in its name. Do not assume that a similarly named item has identical options.
- Open its selection screen before committing. Review the eligible heroes shown there and confirm that your intended pick is selectable. If the screen offers details, inspect the candidate’s role and information available in-game.
- Make a shortlist only from eligible heroes. Use guides to compare candidates that actually appear in this item—not to infer that an absent hero can be chosen.
- Return to the selector after deciding. Confirm the highlighted hero before completing the choice. If the item’s behavior or an option is unclear, do not guess at an irreversible selection.
The current evidence does not establish one complete pool for every selector, so a list copied from a different ticket or an older discussion may not match yours.

The name matters because the in-game item may be one of several similar-looking options: a selector, a ticket, a numbered version, or an item with a narrower category. Netmarble’s September 2 notice names Hayeon as an addition to Tower of Trials Hero Ticket, Tower of Trials Hero Ticket II, Legendary Hero Selector, Legendary Hero Ticket II, Rare–Legendary Hero Ticket II, Legendary Hero Selector II and Legendary Hero Ticket III. The fact that one hero was added to several products is not evidence that the products share a pool. It is a reason to inspect the precise item you have.
Do not try to reconstruct the eligible list from a remembered announcement alone. Updates can add heroes to some named items without saying that all other selectors changed. A guide may discuss a hero’s strength, and a community post may mention a useful pick, but neither makes that hero selectable from your particular ticket. Your selection screen answers the eligibility question; mode and roster comparisons answer the value question.
Choose for the job your roster needs
After checking eligibility, identify the most important gap in your account. A hero who is strong in one activity may be less valuable to you than a different role your team lacks. Pocket Gamer’s October 3, 2026 tier list, version 1.29.03, evaluates heroes separately for PvE, PvP, Raid, Castle and Advent; it also notes that rerolling is not required for normal progression and that the meta can change. That is a useful reminder not to treat one overall ranking as an answer for every mode.

| A roster already rich in damage | Consider whether a support would improve the team more than another similar damage dealer. | GameWith names Vanessa and Kagura as versatile support choices. These are broad options, not automatic answers for every account or selector. |
| PvP, Raid, Castle or Advent | Compare candidates for the specific activity you play rather than borrowing a PvE or all-purpose ranking. | Pocket Gamer grades heroes separately across those modes in its October 3, 2026 list. The sources do not establish one selector pick as best across all five. |
If you mainly want faster PvE farming
Use the area-attacker shortlist as a starting point if your current roster struggles to clear groups efficiently. Teo is singled out for farming in GameWith’s October 12 guide; Yeonhee, Rin and Mercure are also identified there among strong area attackers. This does not prove that any one of the four is best for every stage, account or selector. First check which candidates are eligible, then compare them with the damage roles you already have.
To make the comparison practical, ask whether your existing team has an effective answer to groups of enemies and whether farming is genuinely the activity you want to improve. If it does not, an eligible area attacker may address a clear need. If your team already handles that job, another name from the same broad category may add less value than a support or a hero suited to the mode you care about. The cited guide supplies a shortlist, not a universal ordering among all accounts or stages.
If you are considering a support instead
A support can be the better marginal addition when your account already has damage dealers but lacks useful team support. Vanessa and Kagura are named by GameWith as versatile support choices. That description makes them candidates to investigate, not universal recommendations: check your team’s actual needs and the selector’s eligible list.
Think in terms of the teams you actually use, rather than counting every hero in your collection as interchangeable coverage. If the team’s damage is already sufficient for its intended job, a support may be a more useful complement than a second similar attacker. On the other hand, the label “support” alone does not guarantee that a hero will solve your particular problem. Compare the choices available to you and consider where you would use the candidate.

If a particular mode is the reason you are choosing
Write down the activity you want to improve before selecting. The tier list’s separate PvE, PvP, Raid, Castle and Advent grades make mode fit a relevant comparison, but they do not make a hero’s ranking transferable from one mode to another. If you do not have a mode-specific reason, general PvE farming is a practical lens—not proof that a farming pick is the best for every account.
For example, a grade or recommendation discussed for PvE should not be treated as a PvP, Raid, Castle or Advent verdict. Start with the activity you play or want to improve, then compare eligible options using information for that activity where available. If you do not have a specific target, do not invent one merely to justify a tier-list choice: decide whether general team coverage or farming is the more useful account goal.
Use a simple account-first decision process
- Name the problem you want to solve. Be specific: for example, a lack of broad PvE damage or a need to improve a particular mode. “I want the top-ranked hero” is not an account need by itself.
- Check whether that role is already covered. Look at the heroes you use, not only the names you own. If your current teams already meet the need, a second similar pick may add less value than another role.
- Filter by selector eligibility. Remove every candidate that does not appear on the in-game selection screen, even if an online list recommends it.
- Compare the remaining options for your chosen activity. Use mode-specific information where available; do not treat a rating in one mode as a guarantee elsewhere.
- Decide whether a new hero or progress on an owned hero fits your goal better. This is account-specific judgment, not a universal rule. Check what the selector actually permits and what would improve the teams you use.
- Choose only after checking the final selection. Re-read the hero name and confirm the highlighted option before using the item.
It can help to make the choice in two passes. First, eliminate anything you cannot select. Then compare only the remaining candidates against one stated goal. This prevents two common errors: getting attached to a hero before checking eligibility, and letting a broad ranking replace an account-specific decision. If several eligible heroes look plausible, ask which one most directly fills the gap you named—not which one has the most exciting reputation in a discussion.
Keep the comparison modest. The information available here supports broad distinctions—area attackers for farming, versatile support candidates, and mode-specific evaluation—but does not supply numerical damage comparisons, pull rates, or a guaranteed ranking for every stage. Avoid treating an unsupported number or an undated claim as decisive. A dated list is a snapshot of editorial judgment, and Pocket Gamer specifically cautions that the meta can change.

When an upgrade may matter more than a new name
The relevant question is not always “Which hero is strongest?” It can be “What choice improves my account’s next goal most?” If you already have a hero who fills the role you need, compare the value of selecting something new with whatever progress on an owned hero the item actually allows. The available evidence does not establish a universal rule for choosing a duplicate or advancing an owned hero, so base that comparison on the choices shown in your selector and your roster—not on a blanket claim that new heroes or upgrades always win.
If you are unsure, use three checks: whether the new option fills a real gap, whether you will use it in your priority mode, and whether the selector permits the kind of progress you want for a hero you already own. If none of the eligible options clearly addresses a need, do not let a broad tier ranking substitute for an account-specific reason.
This is a comparison, not a claim that every selector permits duplicate picks or a particular upgrade. Read the item’s displayed choices and any in-game descriptions before deciding what it can do. If it only offers new hero choices, the upgrade comparison may not apply. If it offers a path that benefits a hero you own, weigh that option against the practical value of adding a different role. The correct answer depends on the choices actually presented and what your teams need.

Do not assume collaboration heroes are in a general selector
Netmarble’s notice for the Demon Slayer collaboration says its heroes can be obtained only through collaboration event rewards or the Demon Slayer Corps Wish List Summon featuring Tanjiro Kamado and Zenitsu Agatsuma. The event runs from October 1 after maintenance until October 29 before maintenance (UTC+0). That announcement does not establish that collaboration heroes are available from a general selector; do not plan around one unless the selector’s own list explicitly shows the hero.
This is a useful eligibility check even if a collaboration character is the hero you most want. The event notice describes the stated acquisition routes for the collaboration, not a promise that a general ticket includes those characters. Check the event information and your item’s own selectable list rather than assuming that all hero categories are available from all selectors. The collaboration dates are specific to the announced October 2026 event window, so do not treat them as a standing availability schedule.
Common selection mistakes
- Using a recommendation for a different item: selector pools vary, so confirm the current item’s list rather than relying on a similar ticket’s options.
- Picking for a mode you do not play: a mode-specific rating may not answer a PvE farming or other activity need.
- Adding a second copy of a role without a reason: weigh that against the support or other role your teams may lack.
- Treating a community answer as a universal ranking: community discussions can help identify what to compare, but an account-specific pick depends on both roster and eligibility.
- Assuming rerolling is necessary: Pocket Gamer’s October 3, 2026 guide says it is not required for normal progression. Do not mistake a reroll recommendation for a requirement to make progress.
- Expecting the meta to stay fixed: tier lists are dated judgments; Pocket Gamer cautions that the meta can change.
Another trap is asking for a precise account recommendation while leaving out the two details that determine it: which item is in hand and which heroes are already used. “Which one should I choose?” can be a useful opening, but it cannot establish eligibility or marginal value without those details. Even a popular answer may not match the options on your screen or the role your roster lacks.
Also avoid mistaking an available candidate list for a full account plan. The presence of Teo, Yeonhee, Rin, Mercure, Vanessa or Kagura in a guide does not tell you which one your account should take. Start with the activity and role, verify the item, and then make a choice among eligible heroes. The guide’s named candidates are starting points; the screen and your roster determine whether they are relevant.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to provide for a precise recommendation
A specific pick cannot be established without knowing the selector and the account. To get useful advice, share the item’s exact displayed name, the heroes it offers, the heroes you already use, and the mode you want to improve. Those details separate eligibility from account fit and make it possible to compare real options rather than guess from a generic tier list.
If you are posting a question such as “Which one should I choose from these boxes?” include the name of each box, or a clear list of its displayed options. If you are asking “Based on my account what hero would best help my account?”, add the heroes you rely on and say whether your priority is general PvE farming, PvP, Raid, Castle or Advent. The extra context makes it possible to distinguish a strong general candidate from a choice that actually helps your teams.
Community replies can offer useful perspectives, but they are anecdotal rather than authoritative rankings. Compare their suggestions with the item’s selection screen and your own goal. If a reply recommends a hero not shown in your selector, it does not answer the eligibility question. If it recommends a candidate for a different mode, it may not address the activity you want to improve.

FAQ
Which one should I choose from these boxes?
There is no reliable answer until you know which box you mean and which heroes it offers. Check the exact item name and the selectable list, then compare eligible heroes with your roster’s main gap and your preferred mode.
Is Teo the best hero selector pick?
Teo is a candidate for broad PvE farming: GameWith’s October 12, 2026 guide specifically calls out his farming and lists him among strong area attackers. That does not make him the best choice for every account or selector. Choose him only if he appears in your item and fits your team’s needs.
