A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11The safest way to choose an iPhone accessory is to identify the exact iPhone model first, then match the accessory to its connector, physical design and charging objective. iPhone 15 and newer models use USB-C; iPhone 14 and earlier models use Lightning. After that, decide whether you want the fastest practical wired charging, magnetic wireless charging, ordinary wireless convenience, or a case and legacy-accessory solution.
Start with the exact iPhone model
Accessory compatibility is determined by the specific model, not just by the word “iPhone.” Camera openings, button locations, body dimensions, connector placement and charging hardware change between generations. Even regional variants can differ, so confirm the model before ordering a cable, case, charger or adapter.

Find the model in Settings
- Open Settings.
- Tap General, then About.
- Record the displayed Model Name and, when needed, the model number.
- Compare those details with Apple’s iPhone identification guide, which documents the connector and physical characteristics for each model.
Use the full model name in a product listing. A listing that says only “fits iPhone 15” is not automatically suitable for an iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max.

| iPhone generation | Phone connector | Typical cable for a USB-C power adapter | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone 15 and later | USB-C | USB-C cable | Both the cable and the accessory must support the intended charging or data function. |
| iPhone 14 and earlier | Lightning | USB-C to Lightning cable | Confirm that the Lightning end fits the phone and that the cable is suitable for the intended accessory. |
The generation rule is a starting point, not a substitute for checking the exact model. Apple’s model guide is the reference for physical details, and a product listing should name your model explicitly.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Which charging cable fits my iPhone?
Match the cable’s phone end to the iPhone’s port and its other end to the charger or computer you intend to use. For faster wired charging, Apple’s guidance uses USB-C Power Delivery (USB-C PD) and a USB-C cable on iPhone 15 and later, or a USB-C to Lightning cable on iPhone 14 and earlier when paired with a USB-C adapter.
Choose the cable by both ends
- USB-C iPhone: select a cable with a USB-C connector for the phone. Check the connector on the wall adapter as well; a USB-C-to-USB-C cable is the direct match for a USB-C adapter.
- Lightning iPhone: select a cable with a Lightning connector for the phone. Apple’s faster wired setup uses USB-C-to-Lightning with a USB-C PD adapter.
- Computer or hub connection: verify the computer or hub’s port and whether you need charging, data transfer or both. Cable features can vary even when the plugs look identical.
A cable that physically plugs in is not necessarily the best cable for every purpose. Before buying, check the product’s stated charging standard, data support and connector layout. If the cable is intended for a multiport adapter, make sure the adapter can provide the required output while other ports are in use.
Do not choose a cable by length or appearance alone
Length, braided construction and color do not establish charging performance. The relevant checks are the connector type, compatibility with the phone and adapter, and the cable’s stated support for the function you need. If a listing does not clearly identify those points, treat compatibility as unconfirmed rather than assuming it.

What kind of wall charger should I buy?
Choose the adapter according to the phone model and charging goal, not the largest wattage printed on the box. Apple specifies model-dependent USB-C PD requirements for fast charging, and actual charge time changes with the adapter, cable, settings, phone use and environmental conditions.
Match the charger to the job
| Your priority | Suitable setup | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Fastest practical wired charging | A USB-C PD adapter meeting Apple’s requirement for your exact model, paired with the matching USB-C or USB-C-to-Lightning cable. | Requirements vary by model and charge target; there is no single wattage that is universally correct. |
| Basic wired charging | A compatible adapter and cable that match the phone’s port. | Lower-power adapters can charge more slowly. |
| Several devices at once | A multiport USB-C PD adapter with enough capacity for the ports you will use simultaneously. | Sharing power between ports can reduce the output available to the iPhone. |
| Wireless charging | A MagSafe Charger or a Qi2-certified wireless charger for faster wireless charging, subject to model and adapter limits. | Wireless speed depends on the phone, charger revision, adapter and operating conditions. |
How Apple’s charge-time figures should be read
Apple publishes model-specific laboratory estimates rather than a universal promise. For example, Apple reports that iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max can reach up to 50 percent battery in around 20 minutes with a 40W-or-higher adapter. That figure is Apple’s stated test result for the named models and setup; it is not a guarantee for every cable, temperature, software state or usage pattern. Apple provides separate adapter guidance for other models, including iPhone 17e and iPhone Air, so check the requirement for the exact phone instead of applying the 40W example to every iPhone.
A higher-rated adapter is not automatically faster if the iPhone, cable or charging standard is the limiting factor. Conversely, buying an adapter below the model’s fast-charge requirement can leave the phone charging normally but more slowly. The sensible order is: identify the model, read Apple’s requirement for that model, then choose a USB-C PD adapter and cable that meet it.

Does MagSafe work with my iPhone?
MagSafe and Qi charging are related but not identical choices. MagSafe adds magnetic alignment and, on supported iPhone-and-charger combinations, can provide faster wireless charging. Qi2-certified chargers are another faster-wireless option identified by Apple. A Qi-capable iPhone outside the MagSafe-optimized set may still charge on a compatible wireless charger, but its power and charging time can differ.
Compare the wireless standards
| Option | What it provides | What determines the result |
|---|---|---|
| MagSafe | Magnetic alignment plus model-dependent wireless charging performance. | Phone model, charger revision, power adapter and system conditions. |
| Qi2-certified charger | Faster wireless charging option listed by Apple, with alignment and output determined by the certified product and phone. | Certification, exact charger, phone compatibility and adapter. |
| Qi-compatible charger | Ordinary wireless charging for compatible iPhones. | Qi generation, phone support, charger output, alignment and temperature; Qi1 can be slower. |
Do not assume that every iPhone that accepts Qi charging receives the same speed from a MagSafe puck. Apple distinguishes newer MagSafe charger models and adapter combinations from older configurations and identifies models that can charge on MagSafe without the optimized magnetic MagSafe experience. Check the charger’s compatibility statement against your exact model.
Set up a MagSafe charger for maximum available power
- Connect the MagSafe charger to its power adapter before placing the iPhone on the charger.
- Place the phone on the powered charger and allow the magnets to align it.
- If you placed the phone on the charger before connecting power, remove the phone, wait three seconds, then place it back. Apple says this allows maximum power delivery.
- Remove cards, key fobs and other items containing magnetic strips or RFID chips from between the phone and charger.
Wireless charging can warm the phone. If the battery becomes too warm, software may limit charging until the temperature falls. A case, misalignment, a low-power adapter or another object between the phone and charger can also change the result.

Will a case for one iPhone fit another?
Usually, you should assume it will not unless the case listing explicitly names your exact model. Small changes in camera shape, button position, body dimensions and connector opening can make a case unusable or obstruct a control even when two phones look similar.
Use an exact-model case listing
- Match the complete model name, including size and Pro or non-Pro designation.
- Check that the camera cutout does not cover a lens, flash or sensor.
- Confirm that the case leaves the charging port and speakers unobstructed.
- Verify access to every button and control rather than relying on a similar-looking generation.
- If you use magnetic charging or accessories, look for a separate statement that the case is MagSafe-compatible for your exact model.
Physical fit and magnetic compatibility are separate attributes. A case can fit the body correctly without providing the magnetic attachment or charging behavior you expect. Apple’s model documentation supports the need for exact physical matching, but it does not certify an individual case listing.
Can I use old Lightning headphones with a USB-C iPhone?
Apple says a USB-C to Lightning adapter supports power, data and audio for current Lightning accessories. That makes it the relevant bridge when moving from a Lightning iPhone to a USB-C iPhone while keeping a Lightning accessory.

Apply even pressure for a few seconds to allow the suction cup to adhere properly. To maintain the grip and prevent accidental falls, it's a good practice to periodically reapply pressure to the suction cup.
- Confirm that the iPhone has USB-C and the accessory has a Lightning plug.
- Choose a USB-C to Lightning adapter that states support for the function you need: power, data, audio or a combination.
- Connect the adapter to the iPhone, then connect the Lightning accessory.
- Test the accessory’s particular function. Support can depend on the accessory’s requirements, so do not assume that every Lightning device behaves identically.
The adapter solves the connector mismatch; it does not turn every legacy accessory into a USB-C accessory or guarantee features that the original device did not support.
Choose a setup by your charging priority
| If you care most about… | Start with… | Check before purchase |
|---|---|---|
| Fast wired charging | USB-C PD adapter and the cable specified for your model. | Model-specific adapter requirement and correct cable ends. |
| Magnetic placement on a desk or stand | MagSafe charger and, if you use a case, an exact-model MagSafe-compatible case. | MagSafe support for the phone, charger revision, adapter and case. |
| Wireless convenience without magnetic attachment | A compatible wireless charger, preferably Qi2-certified when faster wireless charging is the goal. | Certification, phone compatibility and expected power. |
| One adapter for several devices | A multiport USB-C PD adapter. | How output is divided when multiple ports are occupied. |
| Keeping older Lightning accessories | A USB-C to Lightning adapter. | Whether the specific accessory needs power, data, audio or another supported function. |
| Protection and reliable button access | A case listed for the exact iPhone model. | Camera, control, connector and magnetic-compatibility details. |
There is no universally best setup. A wired USB-C PD arrangement prioritizes predictable speed; MagSafe prioritizes magnetic placement and supported wireless performance; Qi2 or ordinary Qi prioritizes cable-free charging; an adapter prioritizes continuity with older accessories.
Why is my iPhone charging slowly?
Slow charging does not automatically mean the iPhone or charger is defective. Apple identifies several ordinary causes, including a low-power wired charger, Qi1 wireless charging, a multiport adapter sharing output, a hub or connected accessory, heavy phone use and temperature.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
If you see a “Slow Charger” message
The message indicates that a different charger may improve charging speed. It does not, by itself, prove that the phone or current charger is broken.
Quick Recap
- Confirm the phone model and connector, then verify that the cable is the correct USB-C or USB-C-to-Lightning type.
- If charging by cable, check whether the adapter is USB-C PD and whether it meets Apple’s requirement for that model.
- Disconnect other devices from a multiport adapter and remove hubs or connected accessories temporarily.
- Reduce heavy phone use while charging and allow the phone to cool if it feels hot.
- If charging wirelessly, center the phone on the charger, remove cards or key fobs, and connect the charger to power before placing the phone on it.
- For a MagSafe setup that was powered after the phone was placed, remove the phone, wait three seconds and place it back.
- Compare the result with another known-compatible cable, adapter or charger only after checking the preceding compatibility points.
Separate speed problems from fit problems
- The cable will not plug in: the connector does not match the phone or adapter. Recheck whether the iPhone is USB-C or Lightning.
- The cable plugs in but charging is slow: inspect the adapter standard, output sharing, phone use and temperature before blaming the cable.
- The case prevents magnetic attachment: verify that the case is explicitly MagSafe-compatible for the exact model; physical fit alone is not enough.
- Wireless charging starts and stops: check alignment, remove magnetic-strip or RFID items and allow the phone to cool.
- An old Lightning accessory does not work through an adapter: verify that the adapter and accessory support the required power, data or audio function.
Final purchase checklist
- Write down the exact iPhone model from Settings > General > About.
- Confirm whether the phone uses USB-C or Lightning.
- Decide whether your priority is wired speed, wireless convenience, magnetic alignment, a case, multi-device charging or legacy-accessory support.
- Match every cable end to the phone and charger.
- For fast wired charging, verify USB-C PD and the adapter requirement for the exact model.
- For wireless charging, check MagSafe or Qi2 compatibility rather than assuming all Qi charging is equivalent.
- For a case, confirm the exact model, camera and control cutouts, connector opening and any separate MagSafe claim.
- For a Lightning accessory on a USB-C phone, confirm that a USB-C to Lightning adapter supports the function you need.
- Keep the product listing’s model, connector, certification and adapter details available until the accessory has been tested.
