CpuTronic lists higher Geekbench 6 and AnTuTu 10 scores for Exynos 1680, yet its comparison does not document a matched test setup. For a purchase, compare the specific phones: cooling, screen, battery, cameras, software support, storage, price and regional connectivity can matter more than a processor table.
Exynos 1680 vs Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 specifications
The specifications below combine manufacturer information with detailed core and capability listings from CpuTronic. A platform feature describes what a chip can support; it does not guarantee that a particular phone enables it.

| Benchmark | Exynos 1680 | Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 |
|---|---|---|
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 1,361 | 1,001 |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core | 4,359 | 2,972 |
| AnTuTu 10 | 1,408,598 | 840,643 |
These are database-listed scores, not the result of a documented, controlled head-to-head test. The page does not provide enough detail about matched retail phones, cooling, firmware, benchmark versions or score collection to establish that the difference is caused by the chips alone. Treat the figures as a directional snapshot rather than a promise about every phone.
CpuTronic also lists 3DMark results from a Galaxy A57 for Exynos 1680 and different phones for Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. That is not a chip-only comparison. Geekbench’s Android benchmark listing includes Galaxy A36 results, but it does not establish a matched Exynos 1680 handset result. Device submissions can help identify examples; they do not resolve the controlled-comparison gap.

How to interpret the CPU, graphics and AI claims
CPU
The listed core layouts and clock speeds suggest different designs, but clock speed alone does not determine how fast a phone feels. Cooling, power limits, memory and software all affect performance. Samsung’s and Qualcomm’s product pages do not provide a direct cross-chip CPU test.

Graphics and gaming
Samsung claims Exynos 1680’s Xclipse 550 delivers a 16% graphics performance increase over Exynos 1580, based on Samsung’s internal tests; it says results can vary with operating conditions. Qualcomm claims over 30% improved graphics rendering for Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 versus Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. Those claims use different predecessor chips and cannot be compared as if they came from one test.

Qualcomm also identifies selected Snapdragon Elite Gaming features, including Variable Rate Shading. Feature availability and gaming experience depend on the phone and the games it supports. The available information does not establish comparative sustained frame rates, temperatures or battery drain, so the benchmark figures should not be used to predict those outcomes.
AI
Samsung states that Exynos 1680’s NPU is rated at 19.6 trillion operations per second (TOPS), based on internal test results, and says it supports on-device AI workloads. Qualcomm claims over 20% improved AI performance for Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 versus Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, but gives no matching TOPS figure on the reviewed page. The metrics and baselines differ, so they do not establish which chip is universally better for AI.

Samsung’s product page says: “The NPU of Exynos 1680, with 19.6 trillion operations per second (TOPS)⁶ and a vector engine for optimized computation, smoothly supports complex on-device AI experience.” That is Samsung’s own product statement, not an independent assessment.

Camera and connectivity capabilities are not phone guarantees
Both platforms list support for 200 MP imaging, but sensor resolution alone does not determine photo quality. The handset maker chooses the sensors, lenses, image processing and camera software, and may limit available modes. CpuTronic lists 4K video capture at 60 fps for Exynos 1680 and 30 fps for Snapdragon 6 Gen 3; confirm the exact recording modes in the phone’s specifications because platform support does not guarantee a mode is enabled.

The listed peak download speeds—up to 5.1 Gbps for Exynos 1680 from CpuTronic and up to 2.9 Gbps for Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 from Qualcomm—are platform maxima, not expected everyday speeds. Actual connectivity depends on the handset’s modem configuration, supported bands, market and carrier. Verify the exact model variant, especially when buying across regions.
Which phones use these chips?
CpuTronic associates Exynos 1680 with the Samsung Galaxy A57, while Geekbench’s Android listing associates Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 with the Samsung Galaxy A36. These are database examples, not guarantees that every regional variant uses the same chipset. Check the manufacturer’s specifications or the listing for the exact model and market before buying.
How to choose between phones with these processors
Use the chip comparison as one input, then compare the actual phones you can buy in your region. Check:

- Display: Check brightness, panel quality and refresh rate rather than relying on the processor name.

- Cameras: Compare the actual sensors, supported video modes and reviews of the phone’s image output.
- Software support: Check the maker’s stated update policy and support period for that model and market.
- Connectivity: Confirm regional 5G bands, Wi-Fi features and the exact variant required by your carrier.
- Gaming: Seek sustained performance and temperature tests conducted on the same handset model, not just peak chip benchmarks.
Verdict: which is better?
On CpuTronic’s published Geekbench 6 and AnTuTu 10 snapshot, Exynos 1680 scores higher. The evidence is not sufficient to call it the definitive winner in real-world performance, and manufacturer performance claims use different baselines. If the phones are otherwise comparable, the scores make Exynos 1680 worth considering; for a purchase decision, prioritize reliable tests and specifications for the exact handsets available to you.
