What the iQOO 15 lists
iQOO lists a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a dedicated Q3 graphics chip, an 8K VC cooling system and a display capable of up to 144 Hz. These are manufacturer specifications and claims; they do not establish how long the phone sustains a particular frame rate or how it compares with a Galaxy in a given game.
What the Galaxy S26 family lists
Samsung describes a customized chipset and performance, AI and thermal management for the S26 family. Its global announcement notes that chipset configurations vary by model and market. Confirm the processor in the exact regional model, rather than assuming every S26 has the same hardware.

For a gaming decision, look for independent tests that compare the exact regional models under the same conditions. Useful measures include sustained frame rates, heat, throttling, touch response and compatibility with the games you play. A 144 Hz panel can display a higher refresh rate than a 120 Hz panel, but the game must support the rate and the phone must sustain it; the number alone does not prove a smoother experience.
How should you compare the displays?
The iQOO 15 pairs a 6.85-inch, 3168 × 1440 display with a listed refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. iQOO also advertises a 6,000-nit peak-brightness figure with local peak brightness specified. Samsung lists the S26 at 6.3-inch FHD+, the S26+ at 6.7-inch QHD+ and the Ultra at 6.9-inch QHD+, with adaptive 1–120 Hz refresh rates across these models.
Compare screen size, resolution and refresh behavior in the context of your use: reading, video, gaming and one-handed handling can favor different sizes. Peak-brightness figures may be measured under different conditions, so they are not a reliable head-to-head outdoor-visibility result on their own. If possible, view the phones in person to judge size and display feel.

Which phone has the better camera?
The specifications show different camera choices, not which phone takes better photos. The iQOO 15 lists three 50 MP rear cameras: a main camera, a 3× periscope telephoto and an ultrawide, plus a 32 MP front camera. Samsung’s S26 Ultra adds a 200 MP main camera, 50 MP ultrawide, 10 MP 3× telephoto and 50 MP 5× telephoto. The base S26 has a different setup, including a 50 MP wide camera and 10 MP 3× telephoto.
Choose by the focal lengths and subjects you use. If you often photograph distant subjects, compare the telephoto range and real sample quality; for landscapes or groups, examine ultrawide results. Also check stabilization and video capabilities against your needs. Megapixel counts alone do not predict detail, low-light performance, color or consistency, so compare independent samples from the exact models where possible.
How should you think about battery life and charging?
iQOO lists a typical 7,000 mAh battery for the iQOO 15, with 100 W FlashCharge and 40 W wireless charging. Samsung lists typical capacities of 4,300 mAh for S26, 4,900 mAh for S26+ and 5,000 mAh for S26 Ultra in its 2026 specifications. Samsung cautions that actual battery life varies with network, usage and other factors.

These figures are not a controlled endurance comparison: battery capacity does not directly tell you how long a phone lasts, and charging wattage does not guarantee a particular charge time. iQOO’s published runtime figures—10.5 hours gaming, 32.6 hours video streaming and 22.6 hours social media—are iQOO Labs results; iQOO says actual experience may vary. They should not be compared directly with another manufacturer’s figures without equivalent test conditions.
For a practical decision, seek matched independent battery tests and check which charger and accessories are included or supported for the precise market version. Charging performance can depend on conditions and official accessories.

What about software, updates and day-to-day use?
iQOO’s comparison page lists OriginOS 6 for the iQOO 15. Samsung emphasizes Galaxy AI on the S26 family. Which interface and features you prefer is personal; explore the current software on the exact models if possible, especially if you rely on particular apps or ecosystem features.

How much protection does the water-resistance rating provide?
iQOO claims IP68/IP69 protection for the iQOO 15 and warns that protection can diminish over time and that liquid damage is not covered by warranty. Samsung lists IP68 for the S26 family under stated freshwater laboratory conditions—up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes—and likewise notes that resistance can diminish. A rating describes test conditions; it is not a guarantee against liquid damage, and warranty coverage remains governed by the applicable terms. Do not deliberately expose a phone to water to test it.
What should you verify before you buy?
- Exact model and regional variant: Confirm the model number, memory/storage configuration, chipset and battery specification for the listing you are considering.
- Local price and stock: Compare current prices for equivalent configurations, and verify that the retailer has the model in stock.
- Carrier compatibility: Check that the exact SKU supports your carrier’s bands and services.
- Software support: Confirm the current written update commitment for your country and model.
- Service and warranty: Check authorized repair availability and the warranty’s terms, including treatment of liquid damage.
- Return policy and accessories: Verify the return window and which charger or accessories are included. For cases and screen protectors, confirm exact model fit and sensor compatibility.
Which one should you choose?
Lean toward the iQOO 15 if you value its advertised gaming hardware, high-refresh-rate display, large stated battery capacity and wired or wireless charging features—and the local software, support and service arrangements meet your needs. Lean toward a Galaxy S26 model if you want to choose among three sizes and tiers, prefer the published camera choices (particularly the Ultra’s 3× and 5× telephotos), or specifically want Samsung’s Galaxy AI experience. In either case, make the final call using the exact local phone and independent evidence for the outcomes you care about, rather than treating specifications as a universal winner.
