The iFLYTEK P1 is the better fit if you want a lightweight wearable recorder; the P1 Pro is the more practical choice when you want a larger screen and a three-microphone array. Both promise transcription and AI-generated notes, but their advertised “up to 98%” accuracy is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified result. The key buying question is whether portability or a larger tabletop/handheld device matters more—and whether you can use its connected transcription workflow.
What differs between the P1 and P1 Pro?
The P1 prioritizes weight and wearable use. The P1 Pro is heavier, has a larger display, and adds a third microphone. The figures below are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements; recording time and storage duration can vary with settings, file format, and operating conditions.

Choose the P1 for wearable portability
At 22.5 g, the P1 is the more natural option if you want to clip or carry a recorder without handling a larger device. Its two microphones and stated pickup of up to 5 m suit closer conversations better on paper than a room-wide meeting, though real pickup depends on room acoustics, speaker position, and background noise.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Choose the P1 Pro for a larger screen and broader stated pickup
The 55 g P1 Pro is less discreet as a wearable but is designed as a larger tabletop or handheld recorder. Its three-microphone array and manufacturer-stated pickup up to 10 m make it the more relevant option when participants are farther from the device. That distance is a product specification, not a guarantee that distant or overlapping speech will transcribe cleanly.
The Pro name does not make it the automatic choice. The P1 lists longer continuous recording time, while the Pro offers the larger display and additional microphone. Choose based on where the recorder will sit and how you will use it.

How strong are the transcription and note-taking claims?
Both product pages advertise transcribing one hour of audio in about five minutes with “up to 98% accuracy.” Those are iFLYTEK claims; the sourced product pages do not provide a reproducible benchmark, test conditions, or independent validation for the percentage. Treat it as marketing, not a dependable accuracy forecast for your accent, room, language, or meeting.
iFLYTEK’s P1 page lists real-time transcription and translation in 11 languages, speaker identification, summaries, multilingual Q&A, monthly transcription minutes, cloud storage, and cross-device sync. The P1 Pro page describes transcription, summaries, translation, multilingual Q&A, speaker identification, Wi-Fi transfer, USB-C export, and cloud file management. Feature and language access may vary by region, app version, and plan; verify current app and subscription terms before relying on a specific workflow.

AI summaries can make a transcript easier to scan, but they are not a substitute for checking the source. iFLYTEK advises reviewing important names, decisions, and quotations. Before sharing minutes as an authoritative record, compare action items and proper nouns with the transcript and, where needed, the original audio.
Can the P1 or P1 Pro transcribe without internet?
Recording audio offline and transcribing it offline are different capabilities. iFLYTEK says its recorders can capture audio without an internet connection, but its recorder collection specifically identifies Smart Recorder and S6 for offline transcription. The P1 and P1 Pro are presented around app, Wi-Fi, cloud, and AI-assisted workflows; the available product information does not establish that either model can transcribe offline.

If offline transcription is a requirement, choose a recorder that iFLYTEK explicitly identifies as supporting it, and confirm that the feature works in your region and language before purchase. Do not assume that an audio file recorded offline will automatically become a transcript until the device reconnects.
What should you check before buying?
- Where the recorder will be: Choose the P1 for a lightweight wearable; consider the Pro for tabletop or handheld use and its larger display.
- How far speakers will be: Compare the manufacturer’s stated pickup distances—up to 5 m for P1 and up to 10 m for Pro—without treating them as guaranteed transcription ranges.
- Whether cloud features suit your workflow: Check the current app, plan, monthly transcription allowance, and regional availability for the functions you need.
- What record you need to keep: Confirm export and storage needs, then review transcripts and generated notes before distributing them.
- What it costs locally: Prices vary by market and can change. The cited Japan launch prices and Global Store examples are not interchangeable quotes for every country.
What does the independent review establish?
Hisan Kidwai’s Fossbytes review, published August 26, 2026, reports that he evaluated both devices for nearly two weeks. That is a named reviewer’s experience, not a controlled benchmark that validates the vendor’s accuracy percentage; readers should distinguish the review’s hands-on account from iFLYTEK’s product claims.
