Because the listings do not provide interior compartment measurements, the outside dimensions and 21.3-liter figure cannot guarantee a fit. A bag can have adequate total volume while a shaped or padded compartment is too short, too narrow or unable to accommodate a base.

Check your exact PS5 before buying
Identify the console configuration
Write down whether you have a disc or Digital Edition, whether the console is an original launch model or a later revision, and whether the disc drive or base will travel attached. Sony’s figures above exclude the base, so using them as the complete packed height would understate the space required.
Measure the packed setup
- Disconnect the console and remove detachable accessories you intend to store separately.
- Measure width, height and depth with the base, drive cover or other permanently attached parts in the exact configuration you will carry.
- Measure the controller, power cable, HDMI cable and any Portal device as separate items; pockets and dividers need usable shape as well as volume.
- Compare those measurements with the current Nacon listing and ask the seller for interior measurements if they are not published.
Do not assume that a smaller Digital Edition automatically fits every compartment designed for a PS5. Padding, fastening points and the opening of the compartment can matter as much as the nominal console dimensions.
Protection: what is established and what is not
The documented design uses a Velcro-secured PS5 compartment and a separate protected PlayStation Portal compartment. Those details can help keep equipment separated during ordinary carrying. Nacon also describes protected compartments and a premium-strength exterior.

Use the bag within its evidence-backed role
- Carry it yourself rather than checking it as luggage when practical.
- Keep the console compartment closed and the Velcro restraint fully engaged.
- Place cables and power supplies in accessory pockets instead of on top of the console.
- Keep bottles upright in the external bottle pockets and separate from electronics.
- Use an additional weather cover or sealed pouch if your route includes rain, because a weather rating is not established.
Comfort and load management
The backpack has adjustable shoulder straps, a chest strap and a carry handle. These are useful adjustment points, but the available information does not include a loaded-weight test, strap padding measurements, back-panel design or fit range. DualSense and cables
The listing specifies two pockets for a DualSense controller and accessories. Put the controller in one pocket and group the power cable, HDMI cable and smaller adapters in the other. Coil cables loosely and secure them so plugs do not press into the console compartment.
Personal items
The zipped exterior back pocket is suited to items you need to reach without opening the main console area. Keep documents, keys and other hard objects from sharing a pocket with an exposed screen or controller surface.
Choose the right travel scenario
Everyday trips and local gaming sessions
The dedicated compartments and backpack straps make this layout most straightforward when you carry the console yourself between homes, dorm rooms or friends’ houses. Pack only the cables and controllers you need; excess items increase weight without improving protection.
Car travel
Use the bag as a protective organizer rather than leaving a loose console in a vehicle. Keep it upright where it cannot slide, and avoid placing heavy luggage on top. Vehicle heat, cold and theft exposure are separate risks that the product description does not address.

The listed outside dimensions are 17.3 × 12.9 × 5.5 inches, while Nacon lists 330 × 440 × 140 mm. Airlines set their own cabin-bag limits and can change them by route, fare and aircraft. Check your carrier’s current rules directly; the backpack’s published dimensions do not guarantee cabin acceptance. The absence of independent impact testing also makes hand carrying preferable to checking the bag.

Use this checklist whether you choose the Nacon model or evaluate another bag:
- Model fit: Confirm compatibility with your exact PS5 revision, disc or Digital Edition, base and drive configuration.
- Interior measurements: Look for compartment dimensions, not only the backpack’s outside size or total liters.
- Retention: Check for a strap, divider or closure that prevents the console from shifting.
- Padding evidence: Distinguish a manufacturer’s protection description from an independent drop or impact test.
- Accessory layout: Verify space for the controller, power lead, HDMI cable, headset and Portal if you carry them.

How to inspect a new backpack on arrival
- Compare the delivered model and dimensions with the listing you ordered; product versions can change.
- Open every compartment and inspect stitching, zippers, Velcro and strap attachment points before loading electronics.
- Test the console compartment with the console powered off and protected by its normal covers; never force a tight fit.
- Load the base, cables and controller to check whether closures still operate without bulging.
- Walk indoors with the empty bag, then with a supervised partial load, adjusting the shoulder and chest straps.

Sony’s 2020 dimensions are launch-era references. They identify the approximate size and weight of the original disc and Digital Edition consoles, with the base excluded. Use your own measurements for current hardware and a complete travel load.
Verdict: a sensible PS5-specific starting point
