For US brands comparing generative engine optimization (GEO) agencies, this 13-agency shortlist is a starting point—not a definitive ranking. It draws on Skyfield Digital’s October 1, 2026 comparison, which was written by an agency included in the list. Use its descriptions and reported prices to identify candidates, then verify each agency’s scope, evidence, and terms directly.
What a GEO agency can—and cannot—promise
GEO is work intended to improve the chances that a brand’s content or reputation is surfaced, cited, or recommended in AI-generated answers. An engagement may combine technical accessibility, consistent information about the brand and its entities, structured data, answer-oriented content, digital PR or citation development, and measurement across selected engines. There is no standardized GEO package: the work and the systems covered vary by agency.

Do not treat a promise of guaranteed AI rankings, citations, leads, or revenue as established merely because an agency offers GEO. A 2026 critical survey of 45 studies, covering work published from 2023 through July 2026, found heterogeneous terminology, metrics, and evidence standards. Its authors concluded: “Within this corpus, the evidence is narrow: already-retrieved content can causally alter its citation or use, but no reviewed technique shows a stable, longitudinal, cross-platform causal effect on organic discoverability or downstream behavior.”

13 GEO agencies to consider
The descriptions below summarize the positioning and evidence signals reported in Skyfield Digital’s October 1, 2026 comparison. They are not independent audits or endorsements. Skyfield Digital appears first in its own ranking, so treat the order as that publisher’s editorial choice rather than proof of universal superiority.
| Agency | Reported fit or focus | Evidence and pricing reported by the comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Skyfield Digital | Growth-stage and mid-market brands seeking combined SEO and GEO, entity and schema work, citation development, and prompt-level tracking. | The comparison reports a $1,000 monthly starting price and SEO growth case results. These are publisher-reported claims, not independently verified GEO outcomes. |
| iPullRank | Enterprise and technically oriented work, including content engineering, crawlability, digital PR, and tracking. | The comparison names its AI Search Manual; it does not publish a price. |
| Siege Media | SaaS and consumer brands interested in original research and digital PR. | The comparison reports Mentimeter ChatGPT visits and citation lifts, and a project minimum of $5,000 or more. Verify the case details and current minimum directly. |
| Directive | B2B SaaS brands seeking pipeline measurement. | The comparison reports a named case involving prompt presence and demo performance; it does not publish a price. |
| Terakeet | Enterprise reputation and narrative management. | The comparison reports client-specific evidence about controllability; it does not publish a price. |
| WebFX | Mid-market and enterprise brands seeking published pricing and platform reporting. | The comparison reports tiers starting at $3,000 per month and names OmniSEO. Confirm the current tiers, scope, and inclusions with the agency. |
| NP Digital | Enterprise and multinational brands. | The comparison reports LLM referral-traffic case data and project ranges. Verify current proposals, scope, and the underlying case evidence. |
| Go Fish Digital | Enterprise GEO combined with reputation management. | The comparison describes a GEO scorecard and says the cited public case lacks numbers; it does not publish a price. |
| Ignite Visibility | Mid-market and franchise brands. | The comparison reports AI visibility and placement outcomes; it does not publish a price. |
| Omniscient Digital | Enterprise B2B SaaS companies with content-led growth programs. | The comparison describes GEO as bundled with broader services and gives project and rate signals, but no GEO-specific result. |
| First Page Sage | B2B companies seeking content and authority work. | The comparison says the agency has a long-running GEO content library but no published GEO metrics on its service page. |
| Single Grain | Brands seeking broader media presence and AI SEO or LLM SEO. | The comparison reports an AI citation case and describes the offering as bundled rather than standalone. |
| Amsive | Enterprises seeking AEO, GEO, or LLMO within a broader digital program. | The comparison reports no public service-page proof or pricing. |
“Not published” or an absent GEO-specific result in this comparison does not establish that an agency has no relevant evidence or price information elsewhere. Ask for current details and confirm that any case study actually concerns the service and outcomes you are considering.
How to choose the right agency
Use the shortlist to find candidates that match your business, then compare proposals on the same six points. A broad label such as “AI visibility” is not enough to tell you what will be done or how progress will be judged.

- Buyer and industry fit. Ask who will do the work, what kinds of companies the proposed team serves, and whether the approach fits your sales cycle, market, and reputation needs. For example, a content-led B2B program, franchise work, and enterprise reputation management can require different priorities.
- Engine and surface coverage. Require named products and surfaces—not just “AI search.” Ask which conversational products are included and which Google AI surfaces are covered. Have the agency state what it can measure on each, since coverage may differ across systems.
- Specific monthly work. Get a written list of on-site and off-site tasks, the expected cadence, and who is responsible. Clarify whether the proposal includes technical accessibility, entity consistency, structured data, content work, digital PR or citation development, and changes to measurement.
- Measurement design. Ask for the prompt or query set, how often it will be refreshed, how many observations will be collected, and how you will access the reporting. Request a sample report and definitions for each metric before signing.
- Case-study quality. Ask for a baseline, the exact query or prompt set, sampling dates, number of observations, the engines and versions covered, and the method used to attribute business outcomes. A citation or visibility change alone does not demonstrate a gain in leads or revenue.
- Commercial terms. Compare price, contract length, scope, exclusions, and what triggers additional fees. A starting price or project range in a vendor-authored comparison is not a quote for your company or proof of equivalent deliverables.
Demand clear definitions for visibility and results
Ask the agency to report distinct stages rather than grouping them under one “AI visibility” score. A brand mention, a linked citation, a citation used to support a particular answer, a referral session, and a conversion are different observations. Each answers a different question; none should silently stand in for the others.
Rank #3
Also ask how repeatable its observations are. Verticality’s US English category study collected on September 3, 2026 examined 31 buying questions, 93 answers, and 1,126 citations. Its publisher described this as a single run and cautioned that answers vary, so the shares should be read as a snapshot of the pattern rather than a stable scoreboard. The prompt counts and citation totals describe that study, not a universal benchmark for agency performance.
For a proposed agency case study, look for the same transparency: what was sampled, when, on which systems, how often, and against what baseline. If the agency cannot separate mentions from citations or explain how it connects observed visibility to business outcomes, its reporting may not answer the question you actually need to make a decision.

Skyfield Digital’s comparison relays an Orbit Media analysis of 13,184 citations across 1,765 answers. As reported by Skyfield, the analysis found 10%–30% domain-level overlap between AI engines and Google’s top ten, 1%–5% URL-level overlap for Gemini and ChatGPT, and 1.7% agreement among four engines on the same cited domain for the same question. These are figures attributed to Orbit Media through a commercially interested comparison; the comparison advises verifying them against Orbit Media’s original publication before treating them as primary-source findings.

Those figures are attributed claims in the comparison, not a guarantee of what a particular brand will experience or evidence that an agency caused the difference. Resonate Labs’ GEO White Paper v5.0, updated October 6, 2026, says earlier editions repeated some widely circulated figures that were misattributed and that its latest edition traces statistics to primary sources. That is a useful reason to ask for original studies, methods, and definitions when a proposal relies on eye-catching market numbers.
Quick Recap
Questions to ask before signing
- Which exact engines and AI surfaces are included, and what versions or observation dates will appear in reports?
- What work will be completed each month on my site, and what work will happen off-site?
- Can you show a sample report that separates mentions, linked citations, citations used to substantiate an answer, referral visits, and conversions?
- How are prompts selected and refreshed, how many observations are taken, and how are variable answers handled?
- Can you provide a relevant case study with a baseline, sample dates, query set, observation count, and a clearly described attribution method?
- What is excluded from the proposal, how long is the commitment, and which fees depend on added work?
- Which results can you measure directly, and which outcomes depend on factors outside your control?
