If you mean the circuit arriving in Gran Turismo 7’s October 2026 Spec IV update, the new track is Sportsland SUGO. For the Singapore World Series Nations Cup race there, use the event’s specified Dallara SF23 Super Formula / Toyota ’23 on Racing Hard tyres. For open play, there is no published universal best car: compare eligible cars under the same conditions and choose the one you can drive consistently.
Which new Gran Turismo 7 track is this?
Sony announced Sportsland SUGO for the October 2026 Spec IV update, scheduled for October 15. Autumn Ring is also coming to the game, but Sony announced it for the separate December update. This article focuses on SUGO, the circuit that matches the October timing. See Gran Turismo’s Spec IV announcement and the PlayStation Blog announcement.

Choosing a car for the Singapore World Series SUGO race
If you are preparing for the published Singapore Nations Cup event, follow its rules rather than treating its car choice as a general recommendation. The official race details specify the Dallara SF23 Super Formula / Toyota ’23 category and Racing Hard tyres for qualifying and the sprint.

- Sprint: 15 laps on Racing Hard tyres; the published rules list no required tyre change.
Those specifications apply to this event. They do not show that the SF23 is the fastest or best choice in other SUGO races, custom events, or unrestricted sessions.

Choosing a car for open play at SUGO
No official source cited here ranks cars by SUGO lap time or names a universal winner. Instead, compare cars you own in the same session and with the same settings. SUGO is described by Sony as technical, with dramatic elevation changes; Kazunori Yamauchi also highlights its flowing layout and Dunlop bridge. Those characteristics make confidence and repeatability useful selection criteria—not proof that a particular car has an advantage.
- Check the event rules first. Confirm the permitted category, PP limit, drivetrain restrictions and tyre requirements. A car that suits your driving may not be eligible.
- Choose a small group of eligible cars. Keep the conditions consistent: use the same track layout, tyres, assists, fuel and session settings wherever the event allows.
- Drive enough laps to compare consistency. Consider whether you can brake confidently over elevation changes, carry speed through the corner sequence and reproduce your pace without frequent mistakes.
- Pick the car that fits your goal. For a competitive event, follow its regulations and prioritize reliable laps. For exploration, try a car whose character makes the circuit enjoyable to learn.
This is a practical comparison method based on the published circuit description, not a reported car test or lap-time ranking.

What SUGO’s published figures tell you—and what they don’t
The Gran Turismo World Series event page lists SUGO at 3,586 m long, with 69.8 m of elevation difference, 13 corners and a 704.5 m longest straight. These are circuit dimensions, not evidence of how quickly a particular car will lap it. Without comparable in-game runs under stated conditions, they cannot establish a fastest car.

Use car character as a starting point, not a verdict
Sony’s guide to Gran Turismo 7’s 1.71 update offers examples of matching a car’s character to a kind of circuit: it points to the Caterham Seven Superlight R500 for a technical track and the Hyundai IONIQ 6 N for a fast circuit. That is a way to think about what to try, not a SUGO-specific recommendation or test result.
Sony’s September Spec IV announcement said 12 cars would be added across the two updates, with six associated with each release, and said the exact cars would be revealed later. The announcement does not support treating any unverified new car as a SUGO pick.
