Samsung’s hidden Connectivity Labs menu includes a Home Wi-Fi inspection tool that can help you spot weaker signal areas around your home. To find it, open Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > ⋮ > Intelligent Wi-Fi, then tap the Intelligent Wi-Fi label repeatedly until Connectivity Labs appears. The menu and feature may not be available on every Galaxy phone or software version.
How to open Connectivity Labs

Open Settings and go to Connections > Wi-Fi.

Tap the three-dot menu, then choose Intelligent Wi-Fi.

Tap the Intelligent Wi-Fi label repeatedly. A June 2026 TechRadar report says to tap it seven times; a Samsung Members community post from December 2023 instead says to tap the version number about five to ten times. Keep tapping until Connectivity Labs appears.

If the labels or tap count differ on your phone, that may reflect a software-version difference. Samsung’s US support guidance says some Wi-Fi options depend on model and carrier, but it does not document Connectivity Labs or confirm which devices support it. What Home Wi-Fi inspection can tell you
The tool is described as a walk-through inspection: as you move around your home, it shows Wi-Fi signal strength in real time and flags weaker areas. TechRadar’s reporter said it revealed a couple of weak spots in their own home. That is one reporter’s experience, not a controlled test or a guarantee that the tool will identify the cause of every connection problem.

Connectivity Labs may also display information such as Wi-Fi band usage, connection standard, and saved-network count, along with other connectivity options. What appears can vary by device; Samsung Members guidance also refers to Wi-Fi developer options, but no source establishes that every item is available on every Galaxy phone. Compare those areas with where your router or access point is located. If practical, try relocating existing equipment and check the same areas again.

Consider new equipment only if the weak coverage remains a problem and a change fits the size and layout of your home. The inspection identifies signal variation; by itself, it does not prove you need a new router or mesh system.

Wi-Fi scan results have platform limits. Android’s documentation says access to scan results requires the relevant Wi-Fi and location permissions and that location services must be enabled. It also documents scan throttling; on Android 10 and later, the Android 9 throttling limits continue to apply. Those are Android platform rules, not a Samsung-specific accuracy specification, so treat the inspection as a useful coverage check rather than an infallible survey.
