To see PlayStation Plus catalog games that are about to be removed, open the service’s Last chance to play section. On PS5, go to Games home screen > PlayStation Plus > Collections > Last chance to play. On PS4, go to Function screen > PlayStation Plus > Games > Game Catalog, then find Last chance to play.
Use the live listing on your own console to confirm the title and removal date. Catalog availability changes by country or region and membership plan, and menu labels can move after system updates. A dated article, screenshot or social post can help you find a game, but it should not replace the current listing attached to your account.

Quick routes by console
| Console | Path to departing titles | General catalog path |
|---|---|---|
| PS5 | Games home screen > PlayStation Plus > Collections > Last chance to play | Games home screen > PlayStation Plus > Benefits > Game Catalog |
| PS4 | Function screen > PlayStation Plus > Games > Game Catalog > Last chance to play | Function screen > PlayStation Plus > Game Catalog |
These routes come from Sony’s support documentation and PlayStation Blog guidance. The Blog specifically describes the Last chance to play location for each console, while the support page documents the broader Game Catalog entry point. If your software version uses slightly different wording, stay inside the PlayStation Plus hub and look for the same section name or an equivalent departure list.

What “leaving the catalog” means
PlayStation Plus has several game benefits that are easy to conflate. The Game Catalog and Classics Catalog contain games available through the service, and Sony states that some of those titles have an end date and are removed. The Last chance to play area is the console view intended to identify those approaching departures.
Monthly games are a separate benefit. A monthly game notice is not automatically a catalog-departure notice, even when the same game appears in discussions about PlayStation Plus. Sony’s US PlayStation Plus page says monthly games remain playable while the membership is active, while catalog access depends on the applicable plan and the title’s service availability. Therefore, check which benefit supplied the game before interpreting an end date.
- Catalog title: Look for it in Game Catalog or Classics Catalog and check whether the title appears in Last chance to play.
- Monthly game: Treat its monthly-game status separately; do not assume a catalog departure date applies to it.
- Plan access: A title may be visible in a catalog but unavailable to an account whose plan does not include that catalog.
In practical terms, “leaving” describes a change to the service’s catalog license or availability, not a universal deletion of every copy of the game. The relevant question is whether your account can continue launching that title through the applicable PlayStation Plus benefit. Check the benefit and the account before concluding that a game has disappeared.

Sony’s May 15, 2024 PlayStation Blog announcement summarizes the console method: “You can always check the ‘Last chance to play section’ on the PlayStation Plus -> Collections page on the PS5 console, or PlayStation Plus -> Games -> Games Catalog on the PS4 console for titles you might want to play before they leave the service.” That post is useful for navigation, but its example games and date describe May 2024, not the lineup currently shown on your console. How to find departing games on PS5
Open the PlayStation Plus hub
- Turn on the PS5 and go to the Games home screen.
- Select PlayStation Plus. This opens the service hub associated with the signed-in account.
- Open Collections.
- Select Last chance to play. The page is the departure-focused view for catalog titles.
Scroll through the titles shown there and open an individual game page when you need to inspect its details. The key check is that the game is displayed in the live Last chance to play collection for your account, rather than only appearing in an old news article or a general search result.
Use the general catalog route when needed
If you want to browse the entire catalog first, Sony’s support route is Games home screen > PlayStation Plus > Benefits > Game Catalog. From that area, return to the collections or category controls and locate Last chance to play. The support route is a general entry point; the Collections route is the direct departure view described by PlayStation Blog guidance.
Record the date shown for your account
When a title matters to you, note the removal date displayed on its current listing. Capture the title name, edition and date together, because similarly named editions or regional versions can appear as separate entries. A date copied from a third-party list or an earlier Blog post should not replace the date shown in the console hub.
If you are deciding whether to start a long game, check the date before downloading or beginning it. The section is designed to help you prioritize titles you can realistically play before the listed deadline. It is also worth reopening the page if you return after several days, because the catalog is time-sensitive and your account’s display is the relevant one.

How to find departing games on PS4
Reach Game Catalog from the function screen
- From the PS4 home screen, press the controller’s function button to open the function screen.
- Select PlayStation Plus.
- Open Games, then choose Game Catalog.
- Find the Last chance to play section within the catalog.
PlayStation Blog guidance places the departure list at PlayStation Plus > Games > Games Catalog on PS4. Sony’s support page gives the shorter general route, PlayStation Plus > Game Catalog. Both routes lead into the catalog; the wording you see can depend on the current system interface.
Verify the live listing
Open the title from the departure section and check the date attached to the listing. If a game is absent from the current section, an older announcement is not evidence that it is still scheduled to leave. Conversely, a title can be added to the departure view after an earlier article was published, so the console’s current display takes priority.
When comparing PS4 and PS5, do not assume that a menu position on one console proves the same position on the other. Sony documents different routes: PS5 uses the Collections page for the direct departure view, while PS4 reaches it through Games and Game Catalog. The result you need is the same live departure section, but the navigation is console-specific.
Check your plan before troubleshooting access
Membership tier controls which catalog a PlayStation account can use. Sony identifies Extra as including access to the Game Catalog. Premium includes the Game Catalog and the Classics Catalog. If you cannot open a catalog title or the PlayStation Plus hub does not show expected content, check the plan attached to the signed-in account before assuming the game has been removed.
- Confirm that the console is signed in to the account that owns the PlayStation Plus membership.
- Check the account’s current tier in the PlayStation Plus membership area.
- Distinguish Game Catalog access from Classics Catalog access; Premium is the tier Sony lists for both.
- Look at the title’s current page rather than relying on a saved screenshot or an old monthly post.
Plan eligibility does not make a catalog title permanent. Sony says catalog availability varies over time and by plan, and some Game Catalog or Classics Catalog games have service end dates. A user who recently changed tiers should therefore check both the account’s current plan and the catalog type containing the game.
Do not treat visibility in a search result as proof of entitlement. A listing can remain discoverable while the account lacks the tier required to use it, or while the title is offered in a different catalog. The title page, account plan and live catalog section should agree before you troubleshoot anything else.
Confirm the country or region shown
The list you see is localized. Sony’s PlayStation Plus games page directs users to the PlayStation Plus hub on their console for the full list available in their country or region. A departure list published for one market can therefore differ from the list on another account, even when both users have the same tier.
- Check the country or region associated with the account used on the console.
- Open the live PlayStation Plus hub while signed in to that account.
- Use the title and date shown there as the authoritative check for that account.
- If you compare information elsewhere, verify that the other source covers the same country, plan and catalog type.
Do not infer a worldwide removal date from a single regional announcement. Sony’s public catalog page explains that availability changes over time, while the on-console hub provides the list for your location. If two players report different dates, first compare their regions and membership tiers before assuming that either listing is incorrect.

Why the region check matters
Catalog licensing is presented to users by country or region, so a title can be available to one account and absent from another. This affects both discovery and departure notices. When recording a date for later, write down the account region alongside the game name and tier; otherwise the note can be misleading when viewed by someone using a different account.
How to interpret the date and act on it
The date attached to a title in Last chance to play is a service-availability deadline for that catalog listing. Use it to prioritize games you intend to start or finish. The section is not a promise that every game in the broader PlayStation Plus ecosystem shares the same deadline; monthly games and catalog games are handled as separate benefits.
Prioritize a short list
- Open the departure section and identify games you actually intend to play.
- Start with games that require the most time or have progress you have already begun.
- Check the date again before committing to a long playthrough, because the catalog is time-sensitive.
- If several editions appear, open the exact edition you plan to launch and record that listing’s date.
Keep records without treating them as permanent
A personal note can help you remember a title and its displayed date, but it is only a snapshot. Catalog schedules can change, and availability is tied to the account’s region and plan. Reopen the live listing if you return to the game later. A note is most useful when it includes the title, edition, catalog type, region, membership tier and date.

Do not use an old announcement as today’s schedule
PlayStation Blog posts often combine navigation instructions with a monthly list of additions and departures. The May 15, 2024 post is an example: its menu guidance remains useful, but the games and dates in that announcement are historical. For a current decision, use the console’s present Last chance to play view.
When menu labels do not match
System software changes can alter the order or wording of PlayStation Plus menus. The documented labels may therefore not appear verbatim on every console. Use the following recovery sequence:
- Return to the console’s main Games screen (PS5) or function screen (PS4).
- Open the PlayStation Plus hub rather than searching the regular PlayStation Store first.
- Look for Collections, Games, Benefits or Game Catalog.
- Within the catalog, search for Last chance to play or a clearly marked departures section.
- Open the game’s current detail page and verify the date and availability for the signed-in account.
On PS5, the support documentation’s general route is Benefits > Game Catalog; on PS4, it is PlayStation Plus > Game Catalog. Those entry points are useful when a direct collection tile is not immediately visible. If a menu has moved, changing console settings or searching random store categories will not establish the correct departure date; the PlayStation Plus hub remains the place to verify it.
Troubleshoot an empty or incomplete list
The section is missing
First confirm that you are inside PlayStation Plus, not a general store category. Then use the console-specific catalog route above. A changed interface can place the collection under a different tab, but the live hub remains the appropriate place to check. Also make sure the console is connected and signed in, since the displayed catalog is associated with the account and its region.

Check whether the other listing is a monthly game, a Classics Catalog title or a general search result. The departure section is specifically for catalog titles approaching removal. Also verify that the other source covers the same region and plan. A title’s presence in a general catalog view does not by itself establish that it is currently in the departure section.

The title page is unavailable
Check the signed-in account’s PlayStation Plus tier. Extra includes the Game Catalog; Premium includes the Game Catalog and Classics Catalog. If the plan is eligible, compare the title’s current regional listing with the item you originally saved or searched for. Similar names, editions and catalog types can lead to the wrong page.
The date differs from a website or social post
Prefer the current on-console listing for your account. Sony describes availability as changing over time and by region, and older announcements are not current schedules. Compare the region, plan, catalog type and edition before reporting a discrepancy.
The date is not obvious
Remain on the title’s current PlayStation Plus page and look for the availability or departure information attached to that listing. Do not substitute a date from a different edition or from a historical monthly announcement. If the console does not show a clear date, treat external claims as unconfirmed and check the hub again later rather than presenting them as a guaranteed deadline.

A repeatable checking routine
Use this routine whenever you hear that a PlayStation Plus game is leaving:
- Identify the benefit: Decide whether the game came from Game Catalog, Classics Catalog or the separate monthly-games benefit.
- Open the correct console path: PS5 uses PlayStation Plus > Collections > Last chance to play; PS4 uses PlayStation Plus > Games > Game Catalog > Last chance to play.
- Check the account: Make sure the console is using the account with the relevant membership.
- Check the tier: Extra covers Game Catalog; Premium covers Game Catalog and Classics Catalog.
- Check the region: Use the listing shown for your country or region.
- Read the live date: Record the date attached to the current title page if you need to plan play time.
- Recheck before relying on a saved list: A dated article or screenshot can become stale as the catalog changes.
This sequence separates the questions that are often mixed together: whether the title belongs to a catalog, whether the account has the right tier, whether the listing applies to the account’s region and whether the title has a current service end date. Completing each check prevents a monthly-games notice or regional list from being mistaken for a universal catalog removal.
What Sony’s pages establish—and what they do not
Sony’s support and catalog pages establish the navigation paths, the distinction between catalog access and monthly games, the role of membership tiers, and the fact that catalog availability changes over time and by region. They do not provide a permanent worldwide departure calendar. No fixed list should be presented as current without checking the live console hub.
The most reliable answer to “Which PlayStation Plus games are leaving?” is therefore account-specific: open Last chance to play on the relevant console, then read the title and date displayed for your region and plan. The PS5 and PS4 routes differ, but both lead to the same practical check: the live catalog entry for the signed-in account.

How do I find departing PS Plus games on PS4?
Open the PS4 function screen, select PlayStation Plus, then open Games > Game Catalog. Look for Last chance to play inside the catalog. Sony also lists the shorter general route PlayStation Plus > Game Catalog.
Are monthly games the same as games leaving the catalog?
No. Monthly games are a separate PlayStation Plus benefit. Catalog departures apply to titles in the Game Catalog or Classics Catalog that have a service end date. Check which benefit supplied the game before interpreting a notice.
Which PlayStation Plus tier includes the Game Catalog?
Sony identifies Extra as including the Game Catalog. Premium includes the Game Catalog and Classics Catalog. Check the signed-in account’s current tier if a title or catalog section is unavailable.

Yes. Sony says availability varies by country or region and directs users to the PlayStation Plus hub for the full list available in their location. Use the live listing for your own account rather than assuming another region’s date applies.
Can I rely on a PlayStation Blog list from an earlier month?
Use an older Blog post for navigation guidance, not as today’s schedule. The May 15, 2024 announcement, for example, describes its own historical games and dates. Confirm the current title and date in the console’s Last chance to play section.
What should I record when I find a game that is leaving?
Record the exact title and edition, catalog type, displayed date, account region and membership tier. Recheck the live listing before relying on the note, because catalog availability can change.
What if a game appears in search but not in Last chance to play?
Determine whether it is a monthly game, a Classics Catalog title or merely a general search result. Then compare the region, plan and edition. The departure section is specifically for catalog titles approaching removal.
