Open Google Account settings while signed in to the account you want to inspect, then use the linked-apps and third-party-connections page. It lists Sign in with Google connections, links between Google and another app account, and apps that can access Google Account data. Select an entry to review its permissions and use the control that matches its connection type—Remove access, Stop using Sign in with Google, or Delete link.
What the Google connections page shows
Google groups third-party connections into three different arrangements. They can look similar in a list, but they have different effects when you remove them:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
| Connection type | What it means | Control Google provides | Likely effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign in with Google | You used your Google identity to create an account or sign in to an app. Google shares the profile details you approved, normally your name, email address and profile picture, not your Google password. | Stop using Sign in with Google | The app can no longer use that consent to access or receive updates to those basic profile details. The app account itself is not automatically deleted. |
| Access to your Google Account | An app has permission to read, copy or manage specified Google data, such as Calendar, Contacts, Photos or YouTube playlists. | See details, then Remove access | The covered Google data is no longer available to the app going forward. Features that depend on the permission may stop working. |
| Google Account linking | Your Google Account is linked to an account on another service so Google features can interact with that service. | Delete link | Google stops using the linked account. Any feature that relies on the link can stop working. |
The page is account-specific. It does not show a universal list for every Google account you have; it shows the account currently selected in your browser. If you use several accounts, confirm the profile icon and address before changing anything.
How do I know which third-party apps have access to my Google Account data?
Use Google’s official connections-management guidance, Manage links between your Google Account and apps from other developers, to reach the review page. The exact wording or layout can change, but the process is:

- [Deep Bass with Clear Vocals] High-performance drivers produce punchy bass while keeping vocals clean and detailed for everyday listening.
- Sign in to the intended Google Account. If Google asks you to choose an account, select the one whose connections you want to audit. This matters when work, school and personal accounts are open in the same browser.
- Open the linked-apps or third-party-connections page. Start from the Google Account help link above and follow its account-settings link. You may be asked to authenticate again before sensitive connection details appear.
- Review each category. Look separately at Sign in with Google, Google Account links and apps with access to Google Account data. If the page offers filtering by Google product or access type, use it to narrow a long list.
- Open an entry before acting. Select the app or service and read its details. Record the Google account, connection type and individual data permissions so you do not remove a useful integration by mistake.
Google does not publish one fixed list that applies to everyone. The entries you see depend on the account, the services you have used and the permissions you approved.
How to read an app’s permission details
Permission labels describe the kind of operation an app can perform, not merely the fact that it is connected. Google’s explanation, Share some access to your Google Account data with apps from other developers, distinguishes three broad levels:
- Basic profile information: your name, email address and profile picture.
- View and copy data: permission to read or copy selected information, which could include contacts, photos or YouTube playlists. The list should identify the Google product involved.
- Manage data: permission to edit, upload, create or delete data in the approved product.
Permissions are scoped to the products and actions shown. An app authorized for Calendar does not automatically receive access to Photos or Contacts. Read every listed product and operation; a familiar app name is not a substitute for checking the scope.
Sign in with Google is narrower than a general data-access grant, but it is not identical for every app. Google’s explanation at How Sign in with Google helps you share data safely says the sign-in flow shares the approved basic profile and never shares your Google Account password. An app can separately request additional Google data, so inspect the data-access section even when you recognize the sign-in connection.
Remove access from an app that can use Google data
Use this route when the entry appears under access to your Google Account data:
- Select the app in the connections list.
- Choose See details and read the products and actions shown.
- If you no longer want the app to use that data, select Remove access.
- Read Google’s warning and confirm the removal.
Removal blocks the permission covered by that connection from being used in the future. Google warns that features relying on the permission may become unavailable—for example, an importer may stop reading a source or an automation may stop updating a destination. If you need the feature later, the app may ask you to authorize it again.
Removing access is not the same as deleting information the developer already received. Copies stored on the app’s servers, exports, logs or backups may remain. To request deletion of that existing information, use the developer’s privacy or account-deletion process; Google’s account setting cannot erase a third party’s records.

Stop using Sign in with Google for one app
Choose this option when the connection is specifically labeled Sign in with Google:
- Open the app’s entry in the connections page.
- Select Stop using Sign in with Google.
- Confirm after reviewing the notice about the effect on that sign-in connection.
This withdraws the consent that lets the app use the Google sign-in profile information or receive updates through that consent. It does not automatically close the account you created on the app, revoke unrelated data permissions, or delete information that the app already obtained. You may need to set a separate password or another sign-in method on the app before you can log in again.
Delete a Google Account link
A linked-account entry works in the opposite direction from ordinary data access: Google uses the connection to interact with an account held by another service. If you want to end that relationship:
- Select the linked app or service.
- Choose Delete link.
- Confirm the deletion after checking which Google feature uses the link.
Deleting the link can disable features that depend on it, but it does not necessarily delete the account at the other service. Account deletion and connection removal are separate tasks. If you delete a third-party account without removing its Google connection, sharing with Google may continue until you remove the link in Google Account settings.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhat revoking a connection does—and does not—do
| Action | Stops in the future | Does not automatically do |
|---|---|---|
| Remove access to Google data | The app using that authorization cannot continue accessing the covered Google data. | Erase data, copies or backups the developer already received; delete the app account; revoke a different connection to the same service. |
| Stop using Sign in with Google | The app cannot continue using that sign-in consent to access or receive updates to the approved basic profile. | Delete the app’s account or information already shared; remove separate data permissions unless you revoke those too. |
| Delete a Google Account link | Google no longer uses that link to interact with the other app account. | Delete the other service’s account or remove an independent authorization in the opposite direction. |
For data already held by a developer, contact that service directly and specify the account identifier, the data you want deleted and any legal or contractual deletion process it provides. Keep in mind that retention obligations, fraud records or backups may affect what the developer can remove immediately.
Report an app you believe is misusing data
If an app’s behavior does not match the permission you approved, open its details page and use Google’s Report this app route where it is available. The reporting path is described in Google’s connection-management instructions. Revoke access first if you want to stop the authorization while the issue is reviewed, then contact the developer through its published support or privacy channel with specific examples.
Check app passwords separately
App passwords are credentials, not entries in the linked-app permissions list. They are commonly used by an older app or device that cannot complete Google’s normal sign-in flow. If you have created one and no longer use the app or have lost the device, open Google’s Sign in with app passwords settings and revoke that password.

After revocation, an app cannot use that particular app password to access the account. Revoking an app password does not review or remove OAuth-style app connections, Sign in with Google consent or Google Account links, so perform both checks when your account has both kinds of credentials.

A practical account-connection audit
A methodical review helps you avoid removing the wrong integration:
- Verify the account. Check the profile image, email address and any organization label before opening settings.
- Start with unfamiliar names. Open every service you do not immediately recognize, then check its developer name, connection type and permission scope.
- Match access to purpose. A calendar scheduler may need Calendar access; it should not need unrelated Photos or Contacts access unless its documented feature requires them.
- Remove stale or excessive access. Use Remove access, Stop using Sign in with Google or Delete link according to the label, not according to the app’s name.
- Test an important workflow. If you removed a connection used for work, backups or automation, confirm that the remaining service still behaves as expected. Reauthorize only if you deliberately decide the feature is worth the access.
- Handle the developer-held data. When privacy is the reason for removal, submit a separate deletion request to the developer; revocation alone addresses future access.
- Review app passwords. Revoke obsolete credentials in the separate app-password settings page, especially after replacing or losing a device.
Decide what to remove before you click
Not every old-looking entry is equally urgent. Start with permissions that allow an app to manage data, because that level can include editing, uploading, creating or deleting items. Next, examine apps that can view or copy sensitive products such as Contacts, Photos or YouTube playlists. A basic Sign in with Google profile grant is narrower, but you may still want to stop it when you no longer use the service.
Read the purpose of the connection alongside its scope. If the service’s stated function requires Calendar access, that may be consistent; a request covering unrelated products deserves a closer look. Do not assume that removing one row removes every relationship with the same company. The same service can have a Sign in with Google connection and a separate data-access authorization, each with its own control.
When an integration supports an important workflow, note what will stop before revoking it. Google warns that dependent features may become unavailable. You can then decide whether to accept that interruption, contact the developer for an alternative, or leave the authorization in place while you investigate. If you later restore access, review the requested products and actions again rather than approving everything automatically.

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
After you revoke access
Return to the connections page and confirm that the entry changed or disappeared from the relevant category. Then check the service itself: sign-in may require another method, an importer may no longer update, or a Google feature may no longer interact with the linked account. These changes indicate that the connection was being used; they do not mean the revocation failed.
If privacy motivated the change, send the developer a separate request for deletion of information already received. Include the account identifier and identify the categories of data you want removed. Removing a Google connection cannot erase the developer’s copies, exports or other records. Likewise, deleting the service account is not a substitute for removing its Google connection; complete both actions when you want both the account and the connection gone.

Keep the three controls straight during follow-up. Remove access handles an app’s approved use of Google data, Stop using Sign in with Google ends that sign-in consent, and Delete link ends a link that lets Google interact with another app account. App-password revocation remains a separate task.

The list is empty or missing an app
- Confirm that you are signed in to the same Google Account used when authorizing the service; a browser with multiple accounts can open the wrong profile.
- Look in all three connection categories. A Sign in with Google entry may not appear alongside apps with data access, and a Google Account link is a separate section.
- Check whether the service uses an app password or another credential path. Those credentials are reviewed separately.
I removed access, but the app still has my information
Revocation stops the covered future access; it does not guarantee deletion of copies already received. Use the app’s privacy or account-support process to request deletion and ask what retention limits apply.

That is an expected consequence when the feature depended on the revoked permission or link. Decide whether to restore the connection after checking the exact data scope. If you restore it, grant only the permissions needed for the feature and avoid approving unrelated products.
I cannot find a control to remove a connection
Open the entry’s details rather than acting from a summary row. Google uses different controls for data access, Sign in with Google and account linking. If the control is still absent, check that you are viewing the correct account and that the connection has not already been removed or migrated by the service.
I recognize the app, but not the permission
Open See details and compare every listed product and action with the feature you use. Recognition of the brand does not prove that every requested permission is necessary. If the scope is broader than the feature requires, remove the connection and contact the developer about a narrower setup if one is available.
The same service appears more than once
Review each entry independently. One may be a Sign in with Google sign-in, another may be direct access to Google data, and a third may be a Google Account link. Removing one does not necessarily remove the others, so choose the control for every connection you intend to end.

- The Google Account connections page is the authoritative place to inspect third-party links for the account currently selected.
- Read the listed Google products and actions; a connection does not grant blanket access to every service.
- Use the control that matches the connection type: remove data access, stop Sign in with Google, or delete a Google Account link.
- Revocation changes future access, while deletion of previously received data requires a request to the developer.
- App passwords are separate credentials and need a separate revocation check.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which third-party apps have access to my Google Account data?
Sign in to the Google Account you want to check and open the linked-apps or third-party-connections page in Google Account settings. Review the entries under Sign in with Google, Google Account linking and access to Google Account data, then open each entry to see its details.
Best Value
Does Sign in with Google give an app my Google password?
No. Google says Sign in with Google shares the name, email address and profile picture you approve, not your Google Account password. An app can still request separate access to Google data, so inspect the permissions shown for that service.
Will removing an app’s access delete the data it already received?
No. Removing access stops the covered future access but does not guarantee deletion of copies, exports or other information already held by the developer. Contact the app directly to request deletion.
What is the difference between Remove access and Delete link?
Remove access revokes an app’s permission to use specified Google Account data. Delete link ends a connection in which Google interacts with an account on another service. The connection details determine which control to use, and either action can disable dependent features.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Why can I still use an app after stopping Sign in with Google?
Stopping Sign in with Google ends that consent; it does not automatically delete the app account. The service may still retain information already shared, and you may need to create a separate password or use another sign-in method.
Do I need to check app passwords too?
Yes, if you have created app passwords or have lost a device that used one. App passwords are separate credentials and do not appear in the linked-app permissions list. Revoke an unused password in Google’s app-password settings.
The Bottom Line
To see which apps and services have access to your Google account, open the connections page for the correct signed-in account and inspect every category and permission. Use Remove access for Google data, Stop using Sign in with Google for sign-in consent, and Delete link for a Google-to-app account link. These actions stop future access but do not erase data already held by a developer, and app passwords must be revoked separately.
