The model name matters. A report published by The Tech Outlook on October 3, 2026, says two online retailers in Cameroon listed the TECNO POP 20C as model K02, product code K02-OP. That is retailer-listing reporting, not a manufacturer specification or a cellular-band table. Read the report.

The POP 20C’s supported 2G, 3G and 4G band numbers for the exact regional variant remain unverified in these sources. Do not infer them from the POP 20, POP 8, SPARK 20C, or a different phone with a similar name. For example, Telkom’s specifications page is for the distinct SPARK 20C, not the POP 20C: Telkom SPARK 20C specifications.

Check compatibility before you pay
- Ask the seller for the exact identity of the unit. Request the model number, product code and regional variant, and have the seller confirm that those details apply to the handset you will receive. A listing that says only “POP 20C” is not enough to identify its configuration. The Cameroon report’s K02 and K02-OP identifiers should not be assumed to describe every regional version.
- Get a band list for that exact variant. Ask TECNO support or the seller for manufacturer documentation that names the model and region and lists its supported cellular bands. The POP 20 page is not a substitute. If no reliable, model-specific band table is available, treat compatibility as unconfirmed rather than filling the gap with another model’s specifications.
- Find your carrier’s requirements for your location and service. Compare numbered bands for the exact variant; broad labels such as “4G” or “LTE” do not identify which frequencies it supports.
- Ask the carrier to check the exact device. Give the carrier the model and variant details and ask whether it accepts that handset for the services you need. A band overlap by itself does not confirm voice calling, mobile data, or every network feature will work.
- Get the answer in a form you can rely on before checkout. If the seller or carrier cannot provide a model-specific specification or confirm acceptance, do not treat the handset as a confirmed match. Consider waiting for documentation or choosing a device whose exact variant the carrier confirms.
What a TAC lookup can—and cannot—tell you
