Starlink availability and pricing are address-specific. Enter the exact property where you would use the service on Starlink’s official availability map or ordering page, then choose Order now. The resulting checkout is the authoritative quote for that location: it shows whether service can be ordered, whether the address is awaiting coverage or regulatory approval, which plans are offered, the kit charge, and the recurring monthly price.
Published prices from another country, a neighboring town, or an earlier promotion are examples—not a quote for your home. Use them only to understand how Starlink’s pricing differs by market.

What the Starlink availability check actually tells you
Starlink does not treat an entire country, state, or region as one uniform service area. The address you enter determines the result. An area-level map can show broad coverage, but it does not guarantee that every address is orderable or that every plan is offered there.

Depending on the location, Starlink may show that service is available, that the area is waiting for coverage, or that regulatory approval is still pending. Those statuses answer an eligibility question; they are not a promise of a particular speed, plan, promotion, or total price.

- Gen 3 Satellite Dish: Third-generation antenna delivers a stronger, more stable signal and faster performance.
- Wi-Fi 6 Router: Modern router technology supports faster speeds, increased device capacity, and better efficiency.

Starlink’s own pages also vary by market and account. Residential tiers, promotions, and hardware offers can change by country, service cell, and customer account. The checkout tied to your service address is therefore more reliable than a generic price list.
How to check Starlink availability at your address
- Open the official Starlink site. Go to starlink.com and open the availability or residential ordering flow.
- Enter the exact service address. Use the property where the terminal will be installed, including the correct street number, town, postal code, and country. A nearby address can belong to a different service cell or have a different offer.
- Read the status shown for that address. Look for an available-to-order result, a waitlist or awaiting-coverage message, or a notice that approval is pending. Save the wording if you need to contact Starlink later; do not interpret a general map color as a personal service guarantee.
- Continue to the order flow. Select Order now for the address. This is where Starlink says customers can preview the available kit and service options.
- Record the offer before paying. Note the plan name, stated speed or priority tier, data terms, one-time charges, taxes, shipping, installation options, and monthly recurring price. Offers can change, so keep a copy of the checkout summary if you are comparing providers or planning a household budget.
Use the address where the dish will operate
The service address should be the property where the terminal is installed and used, not merely a billing address or a convenient nearby location. If you are checking a second home, cabin, rental, or potential move, run a separate check for each property. The result for one location should not be treated as a transferable approval for another.
Enter the country and postal details exactly as Starlink formats them. Autocomplete suggestions can sometimes identify a neighboring street or a similarly named town, so review the completed address before proceeding. If the site is rural or newly assigned, try the official map and the order form rather than relying on a third-party coverage map.

An available result generally means the address can proceed to an order flow, but it still does not specify which Residential speed tier, hardware offer, or installation option you will receive. Continue to Order now and read the local offer.
An awaiting coverage or waitlist result means Starlink is not currently presenting the normal orderable service for that address. A regulatory approval pending notice points to an authorization issue rather than a household equipment problem. Neither status supplies a guaranteed activation date in the material used here, so avoid promising yourself or a customer that service will start by a particular deadline.
Coverage maps are useful for a first look, especially when you are comparing several addresses, but the address-entry result is the practical decision point. If the map appears to show coverage while the order form does not offer a plan, use the order form’s status for budgeting and planning.
Where the local price appears
The local order flow is the place to find the current Starlink quote. It can show the hardware kit price, any regional hardware discount, delivery or shipping charges, taxes, optional installation costs, and the monthly service charge. The exact line items and their amounts depend on the address and the offer displayed at the time you order.
Starlink’s US residential marketing page has advertised service starting at $55 per month and “No upfront hardware cost in select areas.” That wording is a starting offer, not a universal rule. Your address-specific checkout must confirm whether the promotion applies, how long it lasts, and whether other charges remain payable.
Do not calculate your expected bill by combining an article’s example price with a hardware promotion seen elsewhere. A promotion can be limited to selected areas, accounts, or dates, while shipping, taxes, or installation can still appear separately.
Separate the one-time and recurring totals
For a realistic first-year budget, write down two totals. The first is the amount due to start service: the kit, shipping, taxes, and any installation or other one-time line items shown at checkout. The second is the recurring monthly service charge, including the currency and the plan name. Multiplying the monthly amount by 12 gives a simple annual service figure, but it does not replace checking the first invoice or any promotional conditions.
If checkout shows a discounted or zero-upfront kit, save the exact wording. Confirm whether the offer is tied to a particular area or account and whether the monthly price is the regular rate or a temporary rate. Do not assume that a hardware discount removes taxes, shipping, or optional mounting work.

Published price examples (snapshots, not personal quotes)
The following figures illustrate market differences. They are Starlink page snapshots accessed on October 13, 2026, and should not be treated as current offers for an unspecified address.
| Market | Service | Plan | Monthly price in the snapshot | Qualification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| United States | Residential | Residential 100 Mbps | $55 | Starlink US service-plan page snapshot, accessed October 13, 2026 |

| United States | Roam | Roam 300GB | $80 | Starlink US service-plan page snapshot, accessed October 13, 2026 |
| United States | Roam | Roam Unlimited | $175 | Starlink US service-plan page snapshot, accessed October 13, 2026 |
| United Kingdom | Residential | Residential 100 Mbps | £40 | Starlink UK service-plan page snapshot, accessed October 13, 2026; select areas |
| United Kingdom | Residential | Residential 200 Mbps | £60 | Starlink UK service-plan page snapshot, accessed October 13, 2026; select areas |
| United Kingdom | Residential | Residential Max | £80 | Starlink UK service-plan page snapshot, accessed October 13, 2026 |
| United Kingdom | Roam | Roam 100GB | £55 | Starlink UK service-plan page snapshot, accessed October 13, 2026 |
| United Kingdom | Roam | Roam Unlimited | £100 | Starlink UK service-plan page snapshot, accessed October 13, 2026 |
The UK page marked the 100 Mbps and 200 Mbps residential tiers as available only in select areas. That is why a plan appearing in a national price list may not appear after you enter your property.
These examples also show why a currency conversion is not a substitute for a local quote. A US $55 Residential tier and a UK £40 Residential tier have similar-looking names but are different market offers. The associated speed, terms, taxes, and eligibility must be read in the local checkout.

Residential versus Roam: choose the service that matches your use
Residential for a fixed home
Residential is intended for household internet at a fixed, land-based service location. Starlink’s support material describes Residential plans as including unlimited data, while also warning that plan availability, pricing, features, and performance depend on the region and plan. A residential label does not mean every speed tier is offered at every address.
If your requirement is a stable connection for one house, apartment, cabin, or other permanent property, start by checking Residential in the address-specific order flow. Review the plan’s stated speed or priority level and the local terms shown before accepting the offer.
When comparing two Residential choices, look beyond the headline Mbps number. Check whether the page identifies different priority levels or other performance terms, whether both options are actually available at your address, and whether the higher tier changes only the recurring fee or also the hardware and installation choices.
Roam for travel and mobile use
Starlink presents Roam for RVs, campers, nomads, and people working while traveling. The examples above show that Roam can be sold with a specified data allowance, such as 100GB or 300GB, or as an unlimited option, with prices that differ from Residential.
Do not assume that a Residential subscription automatically provides the same rights or performance while you travel. If mobility is central to your use case, inspect the Roam terms and availability displayed for your account and location rather than selecting a home plan solely because its monthly price is lower.
For a vehicle or changing itinerary, check the service address and plan terms for the place where you initially order, then read how the Roam option describes travel use. The fact that a Roam plan is offered in a national price list does not prove that the same allowance or price will appear in every country.
What to compare in the checkout
A monthly number alone is not enough to compare offers. Use this checklist while the address-specific page is open:
- Eligibility: Is the exact address orderable, waitlisted, or awaiting coverage or approval?
- Hardware: What kit is offered, and is a regional discount or no-upfront-hardware promotion applied?
- One-time charges: What are the displayed kit, shipping, taxes, and installation amounts?
- Recurring charge: What monthly amount and currency are shown, and is the amount promotional or ongoing?
- Plan level: Which speed, priority, or performance tier is available at this address?
- Data terms: Is data described as unlimited or subject to an allowance or peak-time policy?
- Use case: Is the plan fixed-location Residential or travel-oriented Roam?
- Installation: Can your property provide the required view of the sky without an obstruction?
Keep the plan name and terms with the price. A $55 plan in one market may have different speed, data, currency, tax treatment, or eligibility conditions than a plan with the same number elsewhere.
Questions to answer before you click payment
- Is the displayed monthly rate the normal ongoing rate or a limited promotion?
- Does the checkout identify a separate kit, shipping, tax, or installation charge?
- Which speed or priority description belongs to the exact plan you selected?
- Does the plan say unlimited data, a measured allowance, or another peak-time condition?
- Is the service tied to this fixed property, or does the selected Roam option address travel?
- Can you install the terminal where it has the unobstructed sky view Starlink requires?
If any answer is missing, stop and use Starlink’s ordering or support path for clarification. A generic comparison table cannot fill in an address-specific line item.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteCheck the installation location before ordering
Starlink says the terminal needs an unobstructed view of the sky. Trees, rooflines, walls, and other obstructions can interfere with the required view, so a property that passes the online availability check may still need a better installation position.
- Walk the property. Identify roof, pole, balcony, or ground locations with the clearest open sky.
- Use the Starlink app. Starlink recommends its app to determine a suitable installation location and identify obstructions.
- Check the route indoors. Consider where the router, power equipment, and cable would sit, and whether the cable can reach that position safely.
- Price special work separately. Starlink’s published material does not establish that every property needs a special mount or a professional installer. Treat those as possibilities to investigate when the site is difficult, not as universal requirements.
Installation feasibility is part of the real cost decision. A low monthly price does not help if the terminal cannot obtain a clear sky view without additional work.
If you are comparing a roof, pole, balcony, or ground location, do not assume one mounting approach is included. First determine what the checkout offers, then investigate any site-specific hardware or labor your property may require. Keep those potential costs separate from Starlink’s recurring service price.

Different countries use different currencies and plans
The US examples are in dollars and the UK examples are in pounds. Even when plan names look similar, the monthly amount and available tiers can differ by market. Convert currencies only for rough orientation; Starlink’s checkout determines what you can actually buy.
Service cells can have different availability
Two nearby properties can receive different results if they sit in different service cells or if capacity and regulatory status differ. A friend’s order confirmation is not evidence that your address is eligible.

- This is not Starlink. You will not receive a warranty with this bundle created by an outside seller.
Promotions have conditions
“No upfront hardware cost in select areas” is explicitly limited. The same is true of any regional discount shown during checkout. Check the offer’s conditions and the final order summary instead of assuming the promotion applies because it appears in a general advertisement.
Pages and accounts change
Plan names, speed tiers, prices, and promotions can change. A dated price snapshot is useful for showing variation, but the current address-level order page should control your decision.
Hardware listings may not match the official offer
Starlink support identifies the Standard Kit and directs customers to check kit availability by entering the service address and selecting Order now. A marketplace listing, including a used or older kit, may not match the generation, terms, or compatibility of the kit Starlink offers for your address. Confirm the official kit and price first rather than treating an outside listing as proof of savings.

- Checking only the country: National coverage does not prove that your property can order service. Enter the complete address.
- Stopping at the map: The map can indicate coverage status, but the Order now flow supplies the local plan and cost breakdown.
- Using a neighbor’s price: Nearby addresses can have different eligibility, promotions, or plan menus.
- Comparing only monthly fees: Include the kit, shipping, taxes, installation, data terms, and plan priority.
- Confusing Residential with travel service: Fixed-home and mobile use are different purposes. Read the Roam terms if you expect to move the service.
- Ignoring obstructions: Availability on the website does not remove the need for an unobstructed sky view at the property.
- Assuming every listed tier is local: Some speed tiers are limited to select areas, as the UK page notes.
- Treating an advertised starting price as a bill: Starting prices and hardware promotions may be restricted to selected areas or accounts.
- Forgetting the currency: Record whether the quote is in dollars, pounds, or another local currency before comparing totals.
What you should have before committing
Before placing an order, save the address-specific page or checkout summary showing the service status, plan name, currency, monthly charge, kit price, shipping, taxes, installation choices, and any promotion conditions. Also confirm that the proposed installation point has the sky view Starlink requires.
It is useful to save the date and time of the quote as well. Prices and plan menus can change, and a dated record lets you distinguish a changed offer from a billing mistake or a different address entry. If you are presenting the option to a household or business decision-maker, include both the first-payment estimate and the recurring monthly amount.
If any line is unclear, resolve it in Starlink’s ordering or support flow before paying. Do not rely on an old screenshot, an unattributed marketplace listing, or a generic article price to fill in a missing charge.
Bottom line for checking Starlink in your area
Use the exact service address on Starlink’s official map, then select Order now to see the offer tied to that property. The checkout—not a national price list, a neighboring address, or a dated promotion—answers what the kit and monthly service will cost. Compare the complete one-time and recurring charges, confirm whether Residential or Roam fits your use, and verify that the installation site has an unobstructed view of the sky.

Is Starlink available at my address?
Enter the complete service address on Starlink’s official availability map or residential ordering page. The result may show available service, awaiting coverage, or regulatory approval pending. Continue with Order now to see the plans actually offered at that property.
How much does Starlink cost in my area?
Use the address-specific checkout. It displays the local kit charge, any regional discount, shipping, taxes, installation options, and recurring monthly price. Published prices from another country or address are not personal quotes.
What does the Starlink kit cost?
The kit price is shown after you enter the service address and select Order now. Starlink has advertised no upfront hardware cost in select areas, but the checkout must confirm whether that promotion applies and whether shipping, taxes, or other charges remain.
Can I use Residential Starlink while traveling?
Residential is designed for a fixed, land-based household location. Starlink presents Roam for RVs, campers, nomads, and other mobile use. Check the Roam terms and the offer tied to your account instead of assuming Residential includes travel use.
Does every address get every Residential speed tier?
No. Plan availability, pricing, features, and performance vary by region and plan. Starlink’s UK page, for example, marked its 100 Mbps and 200 Mbps Residential tiers as available only in select areas.
What installation does Starlink require?
The terminal requires an unobstructed view of the sky. Starlink recommends its app to identify a suitable location. A special mount or professional installation may be useful at some properties, but it is not established as a universal requirement; investigate those costs for your site.
Why is my neighbor’s Starlink price different?
Nearby addresses can be in different service cells or have different capacity, regulatory status, account offers, promotions, or plan availability. Run the official address check for your own property and use that checkout as the controlling quote.
The Bottom Line
Check the exact service address on Starlink’s official map, select Order now, and use that checkout for the kit and monthly quote. Compare all one-time charges, plan terms, Residential versus Roam use, and the site’s sky-view requirements.
